You have pending writes to the device. Put the device in linking mode, then right click on the device in the device tree and click on write updates, all the green should go away once the links have written to the device

You can ignore the extra nodes if you're not using them

The sensitivity can be adjusted via options in the device window. Read the manual for the correct settings (see below).

Im afraid you already lost me. I do see if I right click on the motion sensor I will see Zwave>

Try clicking on the other nodes associated with the motion sensor, one of them will show the write update option

My experience with Zwave has always been interesting and mostly successful. The instructions that are given are hard to read but all the information should be there. As Techman indicated, put the sensor in linking mode and all of those green 1011 arrows should go away. After you do that, look at the instructions that came with the device and start to experiment. After you introduce the parameters you query the device and they should take effect. I think that I may have had to manually put the device back in link mode for the parameters to take hold. Zwave devices all are supposed to adhere to a standard and I believe that I was able to get more useful online from Zooz , It is as always a GREAT IDEA to backup everything prior to making any new additions or changes. Zwave is worth the effort in my opinion. I started using it do deal intermittent instion issues, so far I am happy.

Best of luck

Zwave has a standardized method of setting options through parameters. There is a parameter number and a value. Your device documentation should have a listing of the individual features, and how to set them by choosing a parameter number and value. The Zwave alliance has a website that allows you to look up specifications, features and parameters for hundreds of devices. You can access it here:

https://products.z-wavealliance.org/?_gl=1*1upc5b8*_ga*ODY1MzUxMTczLjE3ODkwODkxMjM.*_ga_EQLMJC35BT*czE3ODkwODkxMjMkbzEkZzEkdDE3ODkwODkyNTUkajQkbDAkaDA.

You start by choosing a category, then a brand, etc. You'll get a full data sheet for the product. Scroll down to "Configuration Parameters" and see the parameter numbers and functions for that device. It can take a bit of searching to find what you're looking for. For example, for your case I started by searching the zooz brand, which lists 101 devices. Then find yours in the list, etc. Then click on "More information" to see the datasheet.

I have a list of the parameters, I gather I have to go get the Sensor and manuly click the button. I have a option on that but I wil lkeep it. LOL

I don't think you can. There is no "get parameter" button. Query doesn't seem to do that either.

@danncas The sensor is running on batteries. You can tell this by the fact that there is a Wake Up device. In order to either read or write parameters, you will have to first wake up the sensor by pressing the zwave button once. The sensor will stay awake for a brief period, just long enough to read or write a parameter. You read a parmeter by right clicking on the Security Alarm device / Zwave / Set Configuration Parameter / Query. You write a parameter with the same interface, selecting Set instead of Query.

thanks my question is Motion Sensor right click has parameters Powe alarm has Parameters Which on to you use image.png

You can use either, push the set button on the sensor, its led wil be blinking, then in your device tree right click on the device and click on Write Updates

What is the model number of your sensor?

  • Solution

Attached is the ZSE70 manual. The default values are under Advanced Settings. If they work for you then you don't have to change any of the options.

Were you able to write the update to the sensor?

Im not sure. Im going to do a factory reset tomarrow . It seem to work earlier . But tonight it shows on and never shows off. I sent you a DM

If tied it directly to a insteon light it will work as long as it see motion. But It will also turn the light on doing the day. So I wanted to have it work with the same type problem I had befor on an insteon.
