Michel Kohanim Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.3.2 (Beta) release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a minor release. Know Issues - None Things to test: - Thermostat Status - Control/status issues (reported by apostolakisl) - IOLinc options - FanLinc options - TempLinc/Thermostats - I2CS MorningLinc - ELK at startup - HTML emails - 994 - SSL/HTTPS Important Information 1. Important Brultech module is no longer supported on ISY99 Series. Please contact sales@universal-devices.com for options 2. Important NetBios removed from ISY99 Series. You can no longer access ISY by going to http://isy on Windows 3. Important If you have a 994, you will need to re-install a certificate. Please review ISY994 Series Advanced Network Security Configuration for more information. 4. Important We have removed SSLv2 support (very insecure) from ISY99/ISY994. Unfortunately, the only protocol supported by MAC with Java 1.6 is SSLv2. As such, you MUST upgrade your MAC to Java 1.7 (Software Update) 4. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 5. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 6. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 7. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet --- Security Warning: Due to recent Java security problems, it's best to always use method #d b. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application c. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.2 - applet --- Security Warning: Due to recent Java security problems, it's best to always use method #d d. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.2/admin.jnlp - Java application Best method to access Admin Console Dashboard - not fully supported - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Quote
k7zpj Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 It installed ok and no issues so far. Quote
Candide Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Upgraded from 3.3.1 - no issues so far.... 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 seem to be a bit faster than prior versions, loading and when using the admin console. Quote
C Martin Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I just upgraded and I see no problems so far. Quote
garybixler Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Hi I have the Venstar thermostat with the INSTEON Thermostat Adapter version 2.4. Should I be able to synchronize the thermostat's clock under this version? I tried a program but nothing really happens. This is all that is sent out: Fri 09/14/2012 08:55:00 PM : [ Time] 20:55:00 0(0) Thanks Gary Quote
C Martin Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I tried Syching the thermostat time also. No Dice. Quote
Chris Jahn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 HiI have the Venstar thermostat with the INSTEON Thermostat Adapter version 2.4. This is all that is sent out: Fri 09/14/2012 08:55:00 PM : [ Time] 20:55:00 0(0) Thanks Gary Hi Gary, This feature was only recently added to the Insteon thermostat adapters and therefore it is likely your adapter does not have the minimum firmware level of v.D4. Tunaman Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 'Bug - Multiple KPL buttons may be added to scenes again' appears to have been fixed. Quote
Candide Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I cannot backup my ISY data with 3.3.2, it has failed the same way twice in a row. I get several errors - "Cannot retrieve File /Conf/D2D/0058/PGM" , socket timeout and cannot create ZIP file. The ISY then crashes, is "not found" and I need to power it off and back on. With 3.3.1 I was able to backup normally. Quote

With 3.3.1 I was able to backup normally. I agree something is wrong with backup. I am using an iMac with Mountain Lion and was unable to browse to my backup folder after I selected Backup ISY. When I selected the backup folder I just got a busy animated icon. This didn't happen in 3.3.1. The other change I made is to access Admin Console using method (d) since my original method was to access the ISY directly from my home page but this caused the new version of Safari to crash. FYI, Java 7. Clearing the cache is now done through System Preferences Quote

FYI, Java 7. Clearing the cache is now done through System Preferences Something very strange has happened - my ISY no longer can backup. I backup about a couple times per week usually. With 3.2.6 and 3.3.1 I took backups regularly. After I installed 3.3.2 this broke. I have now downgraded (via restore and firmware install) to 3.3.1 and 3.2.6 - but neither of them could backup, the backup process stalls on a file, the same file but different with each firmware version. I have now settled on 3.3.1, which appears to run fine except for the ability to backup. I have tried backing up on two different machines. I did all this with my AV program unloaded, cleared Java cache each time, etc. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Quote
LeeFleishman Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Upgraded, first to 3.3.1 then to 3.3.2. No problem encountered during upgrade process, and ISY backup completes with no difficulty (running Vista and Windows7). However, discovered anomaly with thermostats. Two Venstar 1700's, one with the external adapter V.91 -- other has integrated "All-in-one" adapter V.95. Anomaly is as follows (same behavior for both stats): Both stats are set for Fan Mode: Auto. However, after a cooling cycle, Admin Console reports Fan State as ON, even after cooling cycle has ended and fan is not running. Stats still indicate (on their LCDs) that Fan Mode is Auto. But, since Admin Console now shows Fan State = On, MobiLinc also indicates that the fan is ON (running). Using MobiLinc's Refresh function does not correct fan indication. Likewise, MobiLinc's "Sync with ISY" function does not correct it either. Using Admin Console's query function (for either stat) also does not correct the fan indication. The only way to get Admin Console to properly indicate Fan State = Auto is to either (1) manually change it from the Fan State pull-down selector, or (2) do essentially the same thing from MobiLinc. But, following the next cooling cycle, Admin Console (and hence MobiLinc) are back to indicating Fan State = ON. I'm pretty certain this anomaly was not present in current official release 3.2.6. LeeFleishman Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Continuing from my previous post (I forgot to include)... Using ISY program to update thermostat clock fails for both stats: Venstar 1700's - one with external adapter V.91, other with integrated "All-in-one" adapter V.95. Quote
LeeG Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Regarding the clock, neither has the required firmware to set the clock. Quote
LeeFleishman Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Regarding the clock, neither has the required firmware to set the clock. Are you referring to the firmware of the stats themselves, or the firmware of the INSTEON adapters? Quote
LeeG Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 This was posted by Chris a few posts earlier in this topic... "This feature was only recently added to the Insteon thermostat adapters and therefore it is likely your adapter does not have the minimum firmware level of v.D4." Quote
sanders2222 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 seem to be a bit faster than prior versions, loading and when using the admin console.I agree. When I open the console performance seems a bit improved. On the other hand, loading programs still seems to take forever.I cannot backup my ISY data with 3.3.2' date=' it has failed the same way twice in a row.[/quote']I just did a backup in 3.2.2 and it seemed to work normally. No errors. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 Hello Candide, I am so very sorry ... something is very wrong here and I suspect the problem is a corrupt SD Card. Do you have another SD Card readily available? Hi LeeFleishman, We'll look into it. With kind regards, Michel Quote
Candide Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Hello Candide, I am so very sorry ... something is very wrong here and I suspect the problem is a corrupt SD Card. Do you have another SD Card readily available? Hi LeeFleishman, We'll look into it. With kind regards, Michel I connected to the ISY by Telnet today, reformatted the SD card, reloaded 3.2.6 and restored a backup. The ISY appeared to function normally, but backups failed again. After that the ISY is not able to be reached and needs to be power cycled. I will try replacing the SD card with a new card. Thanks for the advice... Quote
Moshe Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Installed 3.3.2 from 3.3.1. Now I am unable to gain acess to admin console via isy/admin. Need to use ip/ admin. Any ideas. Quote
LeeG Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Moshe Is this how the Admin Console is being accessed? I pulled this from the initial 3.3.2 post at the beginning of this topic “2. Important NetBios removed from ISY99 Series. You can no longer access ISY by going to http://isy on Windows†Quote
Moshe Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Lee - Thanks. I skimmed right over that. However I still cannot access via IP/admin. This method works: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.2/admin.jnlp Moshe Quote
LeeG Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I think that method looks up the ISY uuid and gets the IP address from that. Perhaps the IP address has changed or the Java cache needs to be cleared. Quote
Moshe Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Lee - Cleared java cache. Seems to be working now. Thanks Quote
