There is a Insteon user who is having a very unique issue where he is able to control all of his Insteon devices via the LAN and WAN. Though he has a specific device which is a I/O Linc which controls two GDO which operate just fine over the LAN but can not do the same over the WAN? I can tell you from all the years doing this I have never seen just a single device not accessible from remote control?? Does anyone have ideas or possible faults that could be present that would be so specific to this issue?? The one thing I've asked the user is to try the same with a iPhone vs Android. The reason being is some of the iterations of Windows / Android certain featur…

I am trying to resolve a couple issues with an under cabinet led strip. First, I had the strip (a dimmable type) plugged into an OutletLinc Dimmer - INSTEON 2472D. In the off mode, the strip would pulse on/off. I could turn it on with no problems. I then changed to an INSTEON Outletlinc 2473S On/Off Outlet. The llights will flicker, almost like a lightning flash when in the off position. The led strip is 6' long. Finally, last night I plugged the led into the lower, non-controlled outlet on the 2473S. I don't know if it is a coincidence but I lost communications with a number of devices on both phases in my house. I had to manually reset one of the 2477 …

I have an isy994 and am very happy. However for my vacation home I do not need such sophistication and was looking at the insteon hub. First off any opinions? Second, before I bring the hub to my vacation home can I test it out at home, meaning will an isy and a hub coexist on the same home HA network without any conflict or problems? Thx much Joe

I have the 3 wire garage sensor and I got the code here to have it send me a text message when the door opened or closed. It worked perfectly for months. But now the sensor doesn't automatically update it's status in my ISY994i so the code doesn't fire. If I query the device, it changes to the appropriate status. How do I figure out why this isn't automatically changing anymore?

Every light switch in the house is a switchlinc and every room has at least one lamplinc. I did the 4 tap test today and every device flashed red. I thought I was supposed to see some green?

I have a switchlinc that keeps setting it's local on level to (I'm guessing) 20%. I have two programs that control this light (it's not included in any scenes) that are as below. If From Sunset To Sunrise (next day) And Status 'Motion Sensors / Upstairs Bath-Sensor' is On And Status 'Upstairs Bath' < 1% Then Set 'Upstairs Bath' 20% Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If Status 'Motion Sensors / Upstairs Bath-Sensor' is Off And Status 'Upstairs Bath' is 20% Then Wait 3 minutes Set 'Upstairs Bath' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Ev…

I'd like to get some help on what I think should be a fairly straightforward program, but there are probably several ways to do it, some simpler than others. I have a KPL at the top of the stairs. I want to use one of the secondary buttons in non-toggle always OFF mode to activate a program. The program would be used to call the kids up for dinner or whatever. We have a music room and a rec room (among others) down there, and I envision a program which flashed the lights three times in both rooms with one second on and then one second off per cycle--and then leaves the lights in the state they were before. So lets say the kids are in the rec room with lights on an…

Hi, I currently have a UPS which has a relay output that I've been using with a 2350 connect to the S and GND inputs so it can trigger some Insteon things. I'd like to use this somewhere else, so I got a ezio2x4. For the life of me I can't figure out how to connect the two. Can anyone tell me what connections I should use on the ezio2x4 to mimic what I was doing with the 2350? Simon

I have done a couple of hours of searching through threads concerning motion sensors and have a fairly good idea how to achieve what I want, but I also have seen so many ways to go about doing the same thing, I figured I would ask for others more experienced than myself for their opinions. I have a motion sensor and a door sensor on my deck door. We let the dogs out of this door frequently (REALLY frequently) and what I want is if the door is closed when motion is sensed (when the dogs come back up to the deck door) a light inside the house blinks for a bit. I think I could probably have the blinking stopped once the door is opened. It's important to do because if the…

Need a little advice. For years I have been using motion sensor to run a program to turn on "garage lite", but it is kind of slow that way. The reason I was using the program is because if the garage lite was turned on by a different controller on a keypad I did not want the motion senor timer to turn off the light so I had a separate program to turn off when received "off" command AND KPL switch was not on. This works OK but kind of slow to turn on. Today I made a new scene and put the sensor in the scene along with the garage lite and set the motion sensor to send only on command. This made the lite come on much faster, great! Then I used a program to turn off …

Hello everyone. My question has to do with combining lights. I have two exterior garage lights, one on either side of my garage. One light is operated by a single pole, on/off switch inside the garage. The second light is operated by a single pole, on/off switch located just inside the front door. I want to combine these two lights to come on/off together using z-wave micro switches. What do I need to buy and what would that schematic look like? I understand how to use and connect a single micro switch for a single load. Thanks for any help and really appreciate all the knowledge present here. GT Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hello again folks. I just returned home from deployment and I jumped right into getting my HA stuff hooked up. My X6 router is connected to the internet, the iSy is connected to the router.....now my question: the PLM seems to have a square USB type port but the iSy has an RJ-45 port for the PLM. The PLM cane with and RJ-45 patch cord with RJ-45 connectors on each end. What's going on here? How am I to connect the PLM to the iSy? Thanks in advance for the answer to what must certainly be n00b question of 2015. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have a motion sensor setup in a bathroom and when I had it setup with the Insteon hub it seemed a lot faster then now being setup with the isy. I have a program setup for the light to come on. Is there a different way I can set this up to make the light respond faster? If From 5:30:01AM To 10:29:59PM (same day) And Control 'Motion Sensor-Sensor' is switched On Then Set Scene 'Light Bulb Scene (day)' On Wait 3 minutes Set Scene 'Light Bulb Scene (day)' Off Else Set 'Bathroom Strip Light' 20% Wait 2 minutes Set 'Bathroom Strip Light' Off Thanks!

I have Mobilinc on my iPhone via iOS and I am fully aware that if I subscribe to their "connect cloud service" I can create a widget on the today screen to active a program. However I don't need the other features. I just need one item that runs an enable/disable command for one device. I already own Moblinc and the UD ISY Network Resource Module. Does anyone know how I can do this? I was looking at the "Launcher" app on iTunes for the iPhone as it will add today screen widgets, which got me thinking that maybe I can setup a network resource command through the internet using it? Or maybe using IFTTT/DO buttons? Any thoughts or help are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've been doing a little digging around the forums and have found a lot of information regarding setting ramp rates in scenes vs. local ramp rates, and I thought I had it figured out. I have the following program that turns on some outside lights before sunset every day, and what I am attempting to do is set the ramp rates to 9 minutes for both lights, but am not seeing the intended results. Whenever the program runs, the lights come on at the ramp rate that is set for the local ramp rate, even though the program seems to be setting the ramp rates properly in the "Outside Lights" scene I have setup. Here's the program: On At Sunset - [iD 0006][Parent 0004] …

I'm using a built device with I/O relay and Ecolink tilt sensor to handle open/close notification, however, I'm still not satisfied with my security of the door due to not being able to engage the actual, physical locking handle inside the garage. I am designing an I/O circuit to engage a mag-lock that will not allow someone to overcome the opener and get in under the door. Any thoughts on this? I see no reason this would not work perfectly and offer the ability not only to open/close but also lock/unlock from work or out of the country even. Thanks for any feed back. 1) What is the difference between Insteon Hub and ISY99i 2) Can ISY support Apple Watch functionality like Insteon Hub? or will I need to switch to instead HUB. 3) How difficult would it be to go from icy to instead hub and what functionality would I loose or gain.

I setup a house with dimmers (2477d) and (2477s) in two different locations. With keypads controlling all the lighting in the house. My issue is that when a scene is pressed there is a lag between some lights. This is around 1-2 full seconds. Could this be a issue because I set this whole system up with all the modules right beside each other in one location and then took them to the site and put them into their place. Is there a way that I can fix this? Thanks!

I have a mature system with a gazillion devices and extensive programming. Recently two of my original 2486 8 button devices have failed. I purchased two 2334-222 devices, to replace them. The first went in just fine, used the New Insteon Device dialog, and explictly specified the address and device type. It added normally, and I replaced the old device with the new, in the programming device tree. The second device, using the identical steps, consistently gives the following error ... Note that the device firmware version is not recognized, the other device sent its version on interrogation, as usual. I am using the latest stable release, 4.2.30 so…

I have 2 failed EZFloras and just got 2 new ones. The ones I have are integrated into folders, programs, etc. Once I link the 2 new EZFloras, how can I get the ISY to replace the old ones with the new ones such that all the programs will now use the new ones? Will the new ones be renamed the same as the old ones? I really don't want to go in and replace my old ones in every program as I have 9 zones and several programs. What's the best way to do this? Thanks!

Hello. I am trying to utilize my Network Module for my ISY994i PRO for the first time. I am using Firmware 4.2.4 right now. The cgi I want to call requires a user name and password. I have no idea if I have everything correct, but testing it does not work. The test returns a 404 error (Network Module Rule 2:404). + I am using the HTTP GET {hostname} {port} /cgi-bin/admin/setvi?vi0=1 + I created an authorization entry to store the user name and password I am very new to this. Anyone have any helpful advice? Thanks, Bill

I have a fanlinc in a bedroom ceiling fan. I also have a switchlinc on the wall that turns the fanlinc light on and off as does my remotelinc and my wife's remotelinc. On the remotelincs, button A turns the light on and off. I have an issue with the light turning on in the middle of the night randomly every so often. I cannot determine why this happens so I want to write a program that keeps the light off unless either remotelinc A is pressed to the on position or the switchlinc is physically pressed on. Now I have the remotelincs and switchlinc in a scene where the fanlinc light is a responder to the switchlinc and both remotelinc's button A. Can you help…

Hello, hoping someone can explain or help me out with a keypadlinc problem. The keypadlinc is a 2486D 8 button v.40 There are 8 buttons A-H ---I'm using button F to initiate a 24 hour watering delay for my sprinklers, basically I have the watering program check to see if button F is active and if it is then the watering program will not start. Then I have another program that turns off button F after 24 hours so that watering resumes at the next scheduled cycle, this program will also stop the watering if the sprinklers are currently running. This is the first year using EZRain/EzFlora v.28 to control my sprinklers and it has been pretty wet here in Colorado so I have…

Hello Team, I have a question on using Folder Conditions. If you have a FOLDER that contains Programs whose conditions are TRUE but the condition on the FOLDER is FALSE, then the program correctly does not execute. If you then set the FOLDER Condition to TRUE and the Program IF Condition is still TRUE, then is there a way to then detect that condition and make the program RUN without having to manually run them? I know I can manually run them but I want them to start running automatically as soon as the FOLDER Condition is TRUE again, If there is not q way, that would be a Great Enhancement! This would allow you to not have programs not starting at Reboot and …
