After a bit of debugging, I noticed that I would get alerts stating that my garage door was open after 3AM and linked the problem to when the QueryAll program was being run. Any ideas why it does that. Also, what's the purpose of the QueryAll? Do I need to run it daily? Steve

My thinking is hosed and I don't know where, and I'm very new to programming on Mister ISY. I have my coffeepot plugged into an ApplianceLinc Outdoor 2456S3E. 5111 Rev 2.1 if it matters. It is 3 days old, it's brand new. When I turn on the coffeepot via MobiLinc I do get an email so that part works well. But I want an email as long as the coffeepot remains on. I want a reminder when I am at work if I accidentally left the coffeepot on. So do I need to place the program in a scene...or a folder...or what is the strategy to get a continual notification? I have a new appliancelinc and have linked it. It was working fine for an hour or so but now the ISY says it can't communicate with it. I have tried everything and just rebooted the ISY. Since rebooting the ISY, the "Current State" in the Admin Console is blank but when I click on the on and off buttons in the ISY I can hear the appliancelinc turn on and off. The ISY is communication with the appiancelinc but it's like the Admin Console doesn't know it. Any ideas on what could be wrong? When I have the event viewer up and on level 3 it says, "Received an ACK for a different device". Not sure what to do.

Hi, Just started to get into the fun programming of my new ISY99 and ran into a problem when setting a variable after a WAIT command. If I do it sequentially, the second setting works, but if i insert a WAIT, it never gets to it. Is this a bug? In general, I am looking for a good light/motion program to reset itself for a dining room. If Elk Zone 'Dining Motion' is Violated And $Dining_Motion <= 1 Then $Dining_Motion = 2 Wait 4 seconds $Dining_Motion -= 1 Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Thanks, Steve

What do you use to mark the buttons on your remotelinc? I've tried a so called permanent marker, but it rubs off in very little time. I'll have to order the replaceable buttons for the keypad linc, but it doesn'r appear there is anything for the remotelinc.

Hello! I have several programs and they all work flawlessly except 2 that involve the same device. When I turn the device on and off in the Admin Console it responds correctly, but when the program runs it doesn’t change the state of the device. I have had communication issues with this device before but it works great now that I added a filter to something else. It is very responsive when I make changes via the Admin Console since I added the filter to the other electrical device. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

I am trying to understand what is going on with the weather bug variables. I have read the various threads and I think I understand the basics. So if I understand things, "Irrigation requirement" variable is the amount of water you want to add back into your yard. The "Cycle Complete" will subtract the amount of water specified in the "water applied per irrigation cycle" from the current "Irrigation requirement". However I do not seem to be getting this behavior. I am calling the "cycle complete" each at the end of my irrigation program. But the value just keeps going up every day. I have a bunch of X-10 scenes programmed into my devices. I have the ISY set up to recognize when those scenes are triggered by using If X-10 received conditions. Works great. Here's the rub: I only turn these scenes on. Never off. Subsequent scenes control the same devices. So, for example, turning the "Good Night" scene On effectively shuts the "Movie" scene to off. The problem is the ISY still thinks the Movie scene is on, and it still shows the program where I receive the Movie scene trigger as "True". Is there a way to programattically tell ISY that the Movie scene is no longer On? Is there a way to programmatically tell ISY that a program is no longer …

Hello, Has anyone purchased a Logic Tech Security Camera and has experience running the ISY and insteon devices with the camera? Apparently, the logictech camera uses the power wires to communicate with your router much like the PLM. I had a power outage a while ago and I was no longer able to talk to ISY when out of my WiFi. When I went to make the changes to be able to communicate again I accidently made an incorrect change and now I cannot talk at all to the ISY. I need to bring it back to factory defaults. I have a (mostly current) configuration file that I can then download to it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Guys So why is it that 8 out of 10 times I log into my 994i, either thru the standalone admin console, or thru Firefox or Explorer, all my device status's show up blank, like I'm only half on-line. I have disabled firewall which does not seem to make any difference. It's getting quite annoying having to log in over and over to get a properly functioning interface. Cheers

I have always used Firefox as my browser to the isy, but today when I came home it said I needed to install Java. Strange, but I though maybe a new version of Firefox was installed and needed an updated Java. After installing the updated Java it no longer says I need to update the Java, but despite clearing the java cache it just keeps trying to load, but never completes. Anyone else having this problem, or just me? BTW IE still works fine

Hi - I've had several experiences of programs that just stop working. I will run the if statement manually and the condition will not resolve to "true". The program will begin working again if I simply go to the "if" statement, select each condition, click on update, and then save the program. This is not happening en mass but only for some programs here and there. I believe this also happens with the "then" statements sometimes but haven't a recent example. What could cause this? Could something like renaming devices or renaming programs be causing this? Steve

Has anyone tackled using the ISY with IR (or IRLinc) and a Logitech (or similar remote) for home theater lighting scenes? Tried setting this up with my Logitech harmony, but the software requires downloading all setting changes to the remote before you can test things out...making the process delayed and cumbersome. I found this video on youtube which is exactly what I want to accomplish (minus the Siri stuff). Anyone know of a writeup they can point me to? I think one of my bigger problems is setting up the delays on the remote since I already have the codes for my IRlinc downloaded into the remote, but they do not work when initiating macros. IF Control MS1-Sensor is switched On And Status 'Laundry (1)' is Off Then Set Scene 'Laundry 3-Way' On Else No Action That works great. The Scene turns the lights on to 70%. I have several electrical components including a TV connected to an appliance linc. So I was going to program the appliancelinc to turn off Mon - Thurs (just during the days) while my wife and I are at work. The TV rarely gets used but I wouldn't want my wife to have to turn the appliancelinc on via Mobilinc then have to use the regular TV remote control. She will get tired of doing that quick! My Venstar T1700 has an option to run the fan after the AC has turned off. I took some data and looking for advice. With my HVAC not running my register is 68 F. With the AC on, the register bottoms out at ~53 F. When I raise the setpoint to get the AC to turn off I notice the register temp slowly goes up to ~61 before it turns the airflow off. So I think it cools then when I adjust the setpoint up to get the AC to turn off the compressor turns off immediately but the fan continues to run. So it's almost as if my unit already is running the fan after the compressor stops. My question is should I set the Venstar to continue to run? If so how long or better…

Hi, I picked up browsing the message board that the new Keypadlincs with firmware v.40 provide the ability to turn off buttons on a second KPL. I have a few "pairs" of KPLs that I'm looking at replacing for that very reason so I wouldn't have to count on programs and the inherent delays that result from that approach to handle this much used functionality. Question is will I be able to use ISY's "Replace with" function to go from a v.36 to a v.40 KPL or did they become too different for that to work now? I can't see myself moving if I have to start from scratch. I would also like to know this so I know whether or not I'm going to be S.O.L. if I end up having …

I always thought it would be a neat project and possibly a large energy saver. This time of year it's real hot in the south. My wife and I both park our cars in the garage about 5:30. Since the garage doors are insulated the garage gets very very hot. I'm sure some of this heat is absorbed into the house which I pay to have conditioned. I was thinking it would be great to have a thermostat automatically turn a ventilation fan on in the garage when the temp gets a few degrees above the outside temp. Then a few hours or so later when the heat has been taken out of the garage and it has returned to a lower temp the fan could automatically turn off. I'm thinki…
