  1. +1 I also would love to know! I think bc we were trying direct and he is using the portal, but would still like to play with it. I have never seen IFTTT take long to activate a macro on my RTI remote.
  2. This is why it is so important that we get the SSL certs working on the ISY. As it stands now the IFTTT Maker channel requires SSL as it doesnt like sending the username and password in the url. When that is done you can use any commands you like with Alexa. This seems like the better choice honestly and skip Amazon all together.
  3. +1 Yes please!
  4. Just notified the updated Amazon Alexa app and saw Homesteer then saw ISY! I am on vacation this week so I have to wait till I get back home to play with. Congrats everyone. Hopefully things will improve over time.
  5. I think using your suggested changes and then making changes on my side where I run the actual SUNSET PROGRAM to turn on the lights vs the scene in my lighting section could be the fix. The only thing I am still concerned about is if I invoke the sunset program before the -3 hours before sunset. Say I turn it on at 10am, well before three hours before sunset. Not sure if this will then experience the same thing I am now still dealing with. I have no issues invoking the sunset scene from a program. I just need to change the KPL button to run from a program.
  6. Larry - I am a bit confused. If I am manually running the scene then I am not running the program so the program wouldnt technically be "ran" therefore the program wouldnt know it was run even with the changes. Maybe instead of running the actual scene manually I should switch it to run the "program" then that with your suggested changes will fix this? Right now I am just telling my Amazon Echo "turn on sunset" and its mapped to the actual "scene" not the "program". So if I understand what your telling me, make these changes and then change all my manually sunset scenes to run the program not the scene and I should be good. Ill try and test over the next couple weeks.
  7. Thank you both. @oberkc I have at least 30 devices in the scene so that would be a lot of programs and really hard to always remember to add or remove a device/program if I added/remove a device from the scene. @larry - thanks for the help but based on the last post it seems like that is what I have done already. I will compare but the issue is that IF I manually invoke the sunset scene before the MS senses dark then later when I turn off my lights the MS senses dusk/dark then will run the sunset scene. What do you guys think of adding a variable? So if I manually invoke sunset then it changes a variable to 1 - then at midnight it sets the variable back to 0? Then add "if the variable is not 1" then run? Just brainstorming here. I would just need to add a program that if I invoke it from a KPL then change the variable. Thanks guys for helping me.
  8. I think we are past the future now. OCT 21 2015 07:28 - http://www.october212015.com So here are my two programs. As you can see I used the same theory as you described to me before with my alarm disarmed notification. I think the issue here is that if I manually initiate the "sunset" scene the program doesn't know that it ran. So when I turn to another scene like "relaxing" and the area goes dark the MS says "hey I am dark and didn't run yet" and then turns sunset on. The reason its happening now is because of the time of the year and daylight savings being moved. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for looking at this for me. Sunset - (1) Time [ON] - [iD 0042][Parent 0003] If From Sunset - 3 hours To Sunset (same day) Then Enable Program 'Sunset - (2) Inside [ON]' Run Program 'Sunset - (2) Inside [ON]' (If) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Sunset - (2) Inside [ON] - [iD 0039][Parent 0003][Not Enabled] If Status 'Kitchen - Motion-Dusk.Dawn' is On Then Set Scene 'Sunset' On Disable Program 'Sunset - (2) Inside [ON]' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  9. So this is giving me issues still. Not 100% perfect. My problem is IF I invoke my sunset scene before the MS declares it "dark" then turn off the lights - the MS will change to dark and then run sunset. Sometimes being in Seattle a dark grey day I may turn the sunset scene on earlier in the day. Any thoughts how to fix this?
  10. I just went through the same thing recently. The Lamplincs have this issue when off but the ON/OFF module does not. I was able to just a small power charger for an old cell phone to stop this from happening.
  11. I was suggesting that we split out the different methods into individual threads so they are not all mixed in. I dont think a whole new forum subsection would be needed but thats just my opinion. Also I thought it would be nice to have the different Amazon Echo methods added to the Wiki but since things are constantly changing maybe not posting the actual instructions but a link back to the official threads for reference. IMHO
  12. So I setup everything. It was super easy since I had a Total Connect account setup already. Activating the channel on IF was easy and everything works perfectly. You can create a DO button and put it on your homescreen as a widget on iOS, for easy access. All the controls are there and both my stats showed up and changes happened quickly. At the end of the day I still want full two way feedback/control and local API support without the cloud, so I probably will still be moving to the Venstar Colortouch T7900 and using IOGuy's NodeLink app. This is a step in the right direction for Honeywell and for most this is perfect, works great and is easy. I am still amazed Honeywell wont release the API and its taken them this long to even get this far.
  13. I am aware of this and so is Michel. It looks like Wes is possibly working on bringing Mobilinc Android up to speed with iOS. I completely understand your frustrations though. I don't think Tasker is the only option though. I thought you could us IFTTT with the Maker channel and ISY portal. You need the portal for SSL security required by the Maker channel on IFTTT - but the IFTTT has a Android app with geofencing. Then you can activate a program on the ISY. I personally haven't tried it so I can't help more than the "concept". Sorry. Maybe I should just be facetious and say dump your android crap and use what us "dumber people" use and get an icrap product and stop whining. But your smarter than me since you use an android device so you know this already.
  14. Im too lazy to talk and I don't like people talking back to me!
  15. No need for Echo to do that. Use Geolocation/fencing via Mobilinc to activate a program on the ISY, Done!
  16. I think this would be a good idea as well as asking Michel to add it to the Wiki too would benefit the forum members.
  17. ITS HERE! FINALLY! Honeywell Total Connect Comfort Channel with IFTTT https://ifttt.com/ho...connect_comfort *Now time to see if we can get the maker channel or ISY portal working with this! I been waiting for something like this to happen for my Honeywell WiFi Thermostats for a LONG time!
  18. Im such an Amazon wh@re since I live in the Seattle area. I have/use Amazon prime, pantry and fresh which are all avail to me. I am too lazy to drive to anywhere for anything! Lol [emoji39] I have neighbors who work in corporate as well. Not to mention my Microsoft neighbors and friends too! There are some benefits to living in the PNW besides the area being so beautiful!
  19. Cuz waiting a couple days with free shipping is too long right!? lol
  20. Just think this will give people who ordered Echos time to get them before its released so we are setup and ready to go when its released.

    LG TV

Why not get something like the Harmony Hub via a IR blaster to do this? You should be able to easy enough.
  22. FYI Amazon Echo is on sale now again for $150 - think this is the lowest its going to go.
  23. FYI Amazon Echo is on sale now again for $150 - think this is the lowest its going to go.
  24. Didnt I tell you to chill out with a beverage and have patience? [emoji48]
  25. The issue is (if I am correct) Maker wants a secure SSL connection to your ISY therefore requiring a SSL certificate. The portal will (I believe) sidestep this requirement.
