  1. Yes, I have them wired using CAT6 Ethernet cable. All home run cables are linked in a star configuration which all hook up to one interface. I ran more then one mile of cable for this project. [emoji51] I have four separate 1 wire masters that the 1 wire device sensors run to. [emoji5]️ Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions

  3. When I get on a real computer I will have to check. As I am on my phone 25 feet in the air hooking up some new hardware. [emoji58] [emoji55] [emoji81] Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions

  6. I just picked up some DS18B20 sensors that included three feet length of wire lead and came encapsulated in a water proof SS housing. Very easy to install and protects the actual sensor while offering great temperature monitoring. There are indeed various sensors with better or worse spec's. I personally bought sensors that provide the most temperature range for my needs.
  7. Yes Sir . . .
  8. These are the current readings from my home as the heat has just kicked in after a very long day. There are 40 1-wire sensors that monitor various parts of the home and property. Another 40 sensors monitor network devices and force protection aspects of the security alarm system.
  9. The 1 wire sensors can read temperatures in the extreme of -55'C to +125'C with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 resolution. Just a quick snap shot from last year of the furnace run time vs the outside temperatures.
  10. Last year was one of the coldest winters recorded in history of temps dropping down to -56'C before the wind chill. This is just one example of how cold it was on December 31, 2013
  11. I believe retaking 3rd grade school math is in order for me! Using the chart above makes sense in terms what value is greater. But, from a numerical stand point (ignoring integers) I must have been fixated by temperature values, ugh!
  12. I must be real slow today because this doesn't make sense. Let me back track a bit, in the summer time this exact same program was set as a positive value. So, if it was hotter then >= 20'C, for instance 22'C I received an alert. Below that value I received nothing. Now its the dead of winter and I am using the exact same program but to monitor colder temps. The only difference is that its obviously negative in value. So, this program should alert me at -20'C, not at -10'C which makes no sense.
  13. Are you saying this from the perspective of it being a negative value?? I know my math wasn't rocket smart but -10 isn't greater than -20.
  14. Hello Stu, I absolutely get all the operators and how they function. But, my question still stands as to why this program is firing off an alert message when its set to trip at -20, its only -10 now. I do not expect to see a e-mail yet I do??
  15. OK, I don't follow what you mean? Its currently only -10'C out here yet the program is set to trip at >= -20'C. I would not expect an alert seeing its below that threshold.
  16. So with the most excellent help by Xathros I have been able to monitor many aspects of my homes temperature & humidity. The ultimate goal of deploying 40 sensors through out the home and property was to make the home and that of the Insteon network a lot smarter. The objective has been to manage the energy and the environment for the most comfortable experience for all. Since it has gotten colder I am now able to fully deploy some of the excellent programs from Xathros to monitor, react, and alert me of variations in extreme temperatures. I am having a hard time understanding why one program does not operate as I would expect. Maybe I am still drunk?? Below is one part of the program: If $s.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Temp >= -200 And $i.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Suspend is 0 Then Wait 3 seconds Send Notification to 'GMX' content 'Autelis - Outside 8G Temp Freeze Alert' Send Notification to 'Lante' content 'Autelis - Outside 8G Temp Freeze Alert' Wait 3 seconds $i.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Suspend = 1 $i.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Alert_Temp = $s.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Temp Run Program 'Outside 8G Notification Suspend Alert' (Then Path) Else Wait 0 seconds $i.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Delta = $s.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Temp $i.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Delta -= $i.Autelis_Outside_Temp_8G_Alert_Temp Wait 6 seconds Run Program 'Outside 8G Override Suspend Alert' (If) Send a notification if the Autelis probe reads higher than the threshold defined in line 1. Threshold is set in Autelis units which equal 10 units per 1 Deg C. So this program is supposed to alert me (for now) if the outside temperature is below -20'C. It is currently only -10.1'C Yet I am receiving inbound e-mails that the condition is true?? I don't know if this has any relations to the other thread where I asked about how the ISY handles negative values in programs located here: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/14558-negative-values-how-does-the-isy-handle-them/ Regardless of the (-) sign this program should operate as intended, no? It should be equal or greater than ( in this case colder ) to trip an alert message. Am I missing something here?
  17. LeeG, Nope, mine looks exactly like yours now. Except last night the folders left side instead of being a green stripe was blue. All of the programs were the correct color showing running, true / not true, etc. I dunno sorry for wasting every ones time.
  18. I dunno, tried everything as I did last night and no blue to be seen. Must have been the Vodka Coolers!
  19. Windows PC.
  20. I'm going to replicate what I did yesterday. Perhaps this is because I *Copied* an existing program to save me time from doing it from scratch.
  21. Specifically, do any of your program folders turn blue? Whether it changes state or if it was newly created?
  22. With the introduction of 4.X.X firmware the ISY is able to change the color of the programs based on their current *known* condition. The other day I created three new programs to track the temperature in various parts of my home. Upon saving the new programs (it appears to me anyways) that the newly created program is a shade of off blue?? As far as I am aware there are two colors that being red / green. They can be either partially shaded, or fully shaded to reflect the operation of the program. Is the color blue something new and if so what does it mean?? Wild guess its a new program?? This image capture was just done a few moments ago so it no longer shows the high lighted red square as blue but is now green. As I have come to expect.
  23. The above suggestions should be indicated in the linked thread and "Like" the suggestion so Smartlabs can see public support of said feature. Many people are quick to say, but rarely act. Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions
  24. During the course of several years I have been seeing negative values being generated by the ISY Series Controller. This comes to me via a e-mail notification program I have set for various devices in my home. It just dawned on me that I have never considered how the ISY handles such values, or is, capable of handling said (negative) values. 1. Can the ISY Series Controller handle negative values? If yes, how does it handle and treat them? 2. If not, could this be the core reason I have been bombarded with endless false flag messages? To put some context of what is happening and to describe my environment. I have the ability to monitor several aspects of my homes environment. They are energy, temperature / humidity, lighting, security, fire / Co, force protection. Specifically, I have two methods to ingest and use energy readings that come from my Dash Box (DB) & Green Eye Monitor (GEM). Using the Energy Module with in the ISY I am able to see and interact with the homes electrical systems. With the DB I am able to send the same and more information to the ISY via state variables. With my Autelis Bridge I am able to monitor and react to the temperature / humidity via state variables in the ISY via the Insteon network. With the above back ground listed and indicated this is what I am seeing. I have been seeing e-mail alerts indicating my fridge is showing a negative wattage value. Today I received another which indicated a value of -15.54 watts. To help isolate and identify if these values are true or even present I have been monitoring these readings with the DB, GEM, and other various diagnostic tools I have on hand. These negative values are never present or captured by any of the tools I have on hand. Since I have the ability to send the exact same energy readings from the DB to the ISY. I have created a custom email alert that shows both the ISY (it believes to be the current watts) vs the energy readings coming from the DB / GEM. The DB correctly shows the right standby wattage. Image capture posted below: Besides the negative values I have also been seeing on going issues where the ISY sends me alerts about devices that are turned on. When its physically not possible because the breaker to the device is off. This has consistently impacted my electric dryer and having the ability to know when its On / Off. Image capture posted below: Another frequent event is receiving e-mail alerts that indicate insane values which are not possible from my solar array. I will receive notifications where it will say 999843234 watts?? Image capture posted below: The last part of the puzzle is also receiving e-mail alerts that the line voltage in the home is showing a zero voltage condition. Which is impossible barring an electrical outage which has happen in the past. But never when these alert notifications are sent out. Again, to emphasize I have the ability to monitor the line voltage, power, surge / sags, spikes, etc with external 3rd party analyzing tools which never reflect what is being generated by the ISY. Image capture posted below: In the interim, I have been monitoring and deployed several devices to ensure noise, power, are not the culprit whether it be induced or on the actual power line. As a reference I also use power line Ethernet and have removed these nodes to see if this could be a aggravating factor. It has not, because even with the nodes removed the above problems still persist. So lets summarize the ask again. Can the ISY Series Controller handle negative values whether it be in the energy module or weather module? Because I see that the values are reflected from the Autelis Bridge, and the weather module does indeed allow the end user to enter a - (negative) value. But, this doesn't explain how the software handles and sees these values. Insight
  25. Again, I would humbly suggest you create a brand new (dedicated) ISY account via gmail. This will provide two things for you as stated below. 1. Dedicated e-mail account just for the ISY so you always know mail is exclusively being sent by the controller. No worries about junk or spam hitting that account. No sorting out personal mail from those of the controller. 2. This will also let you know if there are other outside factors impacting your ability to send mail. Gmail is one of the largest e-mail providers in the world and their up time is 99.67%. Please consider creating a new account as it will help you trouble shoot and narrow down the issues.
