Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hi Mark, thank you. I already responded to your email. Please note that you cannot disable SSL/HTTPS. What you can do (which I strongly advise against) is to forward to port 80 instead of 443. With kind regards, Michel

Upgrading ISY-99i to ISY-994i
Hi Dennis, I think most of your questions were answered except: 1. Zigbee module, you will have to order directly from us. Please send your inquiry to sales@Universal-devices.com 2. EM3 is our 3 phase energy monitor with 2 temperature sensors and 2 pulse counters. We have not commercialized it yet since it has not gone through UL/FCC certification With kind regards, Michel

Link records in hex on screen vs. XML in output file?
Hi ELA, I didn't say we used XML to reduce size. I said we used integer representation (4 bytes) to reduce size and furthermore have a unified representation across ISY/Admin Console. This way, it's up to the UI to format it however it chooses to do so. With kind regards, Michel

What do these errors mean?
Hello apostoalkisl, Is the IP from dvr or your camera? In all cases, UPnP devices DO search for other UPnP devices and that should explain it if and only if one of your devices (either dvr or camera) is UPnP enabled. With kind regards, Michel

Link records in hex on screen vs. XML in output file?
Thanks LeeG, you're 100 correct. The decision was made to reduce the file size. If you are comfortable with Java, I can send you the file that converts it. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hi Robert, Did you reprogram any of your Motion Sensors? So, to recap, you receive the Off command and then it goes back to On (and this is also logged)? With kind regards,

How to get rid of unwanted link
Hi Illusion, This is not good. It would be extremely helpful if you can summarize the history of this device and, if possible, firmware levels that were used (i.e. was it before 3.1.17 or after 3.1.17)? Also, please take a look at your Error Log and let me know if you see any -11000x errors with the file name being the address of this devices. With kind regards, Michel

Issue With ISY Firmware 3.2.5 (RC)
Hello Ultrajones, Would you please do another export and send it to support@universal-devices.com? I think we may have removed it because, if you have thermostats or garage doors in scenes, sending All on/All off basically wrecks havoc: it may set your thermostat set points to some very low number (your thermostats may go to cool point till the set point is reached) and the garage doors would open. In short, we are seriously considering removing All On/All Off altogether since it's behavior is NOT predictable. My suggestion is to not use My Lighting for anything except for queries. With kind regards, Michel

Power for ISY-99i Pro
Hi BrianH, 994 has a faster/bigger flash and a new network PHY and, in combination with SDHC 1GB San Disk, it would be a little quicker. This said, the performance gain depends on the operations. 300 mA is the minimum requirement and, precisely to your point, the 1 amp power supply is to support such things as Zigbee and ZWave radios. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
05.10.2012: Hello all, Thanks to all your help and support, release 3.2.6 is now our official release! Thanks and with kind regards, Michel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.2.6 (RC2) release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a minor release with the hope that it will become our official release. Know Issues None Things to test: - HTTPS performance especially with 2048 RSA keys - ELK on UDAjax Important Information 1. Important If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one before the upgrade. 2. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 3. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 4. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 5. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet b. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application c. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i - applet d. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp - Java application Dashboard - not fully supported - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/dashboard.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel

Custom text notification
Hello kuhnsmanj, You can certainly create custom notification without subject (Configuration | Email & Notifications | Customization). If emails do not get to you, then add one blank space in the Subject. From: this depends on your ISP but most will add it automatically based on your account. With kind regards, Michel

Automated door knobs
Hello m_later, I am so very sorry to hear. As with everything Zigbee, there's really no guarantee of interoperability. If you decide to keep your unit, you can send an email to sales@universal-devices.com and when our ZWave dongle comes out (very shortly), then we'll swap out your Zigbee radio with a ZWave one. The process is quite simple; all you have to do is to change a daughter board. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.5 (RC) Is Now Available
Hello bcall, I am so very sorry ... I sent you an email but it was addressed to myself! Please do be kind enough to Right Mouse Click on the device | Query Insteon Engine. Hello lawr1000, Is it only certain devices or do you have communication issues with all. I suspect this is signal/communications related. Hello WhiteSax, Would you please let me know what the problem was exactly? If you ever go back to 3.2.5, please try Right Mouse Click | Query Insteon Engine and retry. With kind regards, Michel

SD card, web server, & security
Hi Matt, 1. Yes, 16GB still the limit 2. Process of replacing SD card is described in detail here: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... an_SD_Card 3. Unfortunately, ISY requires userid/password for everything 4. We do have a requirement to support multi user/guest user but it keeps going to the bottom of our priority list 5. ISY web server is pretty much isolated from automation. The only linkage is the commands from the web server to do automation! So, as long as you are not going to have 10s of users accessing ISY simultaneously through httpS, I do not think you are going to notice degradation in performance or operations especially if all that's being done is serving up pictures off the SD Card. This said, I would be a little wary putting your ISY's address on a public forum ... I have seen very many hackers snooping around just for this type of opportunities, if for nothing else, but just to cause trouble With kind regards, Michel

Reverse Load Sensing or tuning a lamp off
Hello SetMonkey13, Yes, you can use the Control Switched On/Fast On/Off/Fast Off in your programs for the LL. As far as programming it - and if I understand you correctly - you want to have a program that increments a variable and when 2, then it will activate your program. With kind regards, Michel
