Irule not working with ISY
Hi again, It all depends: the lower the strength the more the likelihood of hackers sniffing everything but the faster the connection time. The higher the strength, the lower the likelihood of hacking and, in the case of 2048 bits, it's rather impossible to crack the key without a super computer. But, the longer the connection times. You may want to ask iRule whether or not they support session resumption in SSL. With kind regards, Michel

Only one node for new Insteon Thermostat 2441TH?
Hello RichT99, Yes and unfortunately no. We still haven't been able to get this thermostat to report its status. Still consulting with SH to see what could cause it. Do you get status reports from the thermostat? With kind regards, Michel

Switching to ISY994i from SmartHome controllers
Hello Denenstein, From my experience, I have yet to see an installation take less time using crawl vs. starting fresh. The time you will spend in figuring out which scenes are supposed to do what and all associated inconsistencies is usually much more than if you start fresh. And, by the way, welcome to our world! With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hello ds10, I am so very sorry to hear. One thing that I need to clarify is whether or not rebooting ISY fixes the problem (i.e. not rebooting the PLM)? If so, the problem could be the unit itself and not the PLM (though quite unlikely). Another question is whether or not you have any old INSTEON thermostats. And, finally - and when this happens - do you see INST-ACK in the Event Viewer? If so, then the problem is neither ISY nor the PLM but something is causing a major disturbance in INSTEON network. With kind regards, Michel

Irule not working with ISY
Hi rizast, That does make a lot more sense. Did you install a certificate in ISY and, if so, what's the key strength. For strength of 2048, it might take up to 10 seconds to make a connection. Normal SSL implementations do have session resumption algorithms which means that once a session is established, the connection time should drop down to less than a second (it will reuse session keys instead of generating one every time). It seems that iRule does not have session resumption routines. With kind regards, Michel

Irule not working with ISY
Hi rizast, Have you looked at your Error Log? This does not make any sense and thus I am sure it's something simple that we're overlooking. With kind regards, Michel

Auto Rebooting
Hello pacificsloop, I am so very sorry to hear. Your unit should NOT lock up and thus the best thing to do would be to figure out why rather than using other methods to reboot it. What is your ISY's firmware version? When the unit locks up, do your programs still continue to run? Can you send your Error Log to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hi Candide, Irrigation requirement and water deficit do NOT mean that it rained a lot. They mean: water necessary based on water applied (sprinkler), rain, and a plethora of other conditions which contribute to the evaporation of water from soil. I think what you really need is a counter for rain today value. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hi Candide, I am so very sorry as I didn't understand your question properly. Irrigation requirement CANNOT be less than 0. Actually, in the code, if it's less than 0, we change it back to 0. With kind regards, Michel

Microsoft Make Mayhem interface with ISY?
Hello CTBigman, No plans on our side. This said, their "claim" is that it's so trivial that everyone can do it. In short, you should be able to get it to work on your own. Obviously, we'll help as much as we can along the way. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hello hbsh01, I am so very sorry to hear about all these problems. It's really not fair for you to have to spend more time debugging the issues. Please do be kind enough to submit a ticket and we'll schedule a call/remote session and get this resolved. By the way, I think the problem with status not showing up is in all likelihood your firewall blocking ISY from publishing events to the admin console. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hello everyone, Sincere apologies for tardy reply as I was not in the office today. You can use any SD Card up to 16GB; this said, since we still do not know the root cause (yes, it does look like SD issue but we are not certain), I would stick with anything you can find at the moment. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Thank you. I responded to your email. There are a few things that stick out: 1. ISY cannot get an IP address from your router ... this has to be resolved 2. 192.168.1.13 trying to hack into ISY (does not use the correct credentials) Apart from that, we need to isolate as many variables as possible. Does the IOLinc relay control anything? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Tim, Thank you. This is quite odd. The only things I can think of are: 1. Perhaps the WB variable was not being populated 2. If you have spam filters on your SMTP server, perhaps it didn't like the contents With kind regards, Michel

Hi hbsh01, Thank you. Can you tell me whether or not you have any programs based on the status of this IOLinc? With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
hbsh01, Two comments: 1. We have had at least 3 reports of conductor causing a crash on 3.2.6 ... we are investigating but it's difficult since Brad is no longer maintaining conductor 2. If you have Mem/Err blinking, it's quite possible that after the upgrade, your ISY got a new IP address which is now in conflict with some other device on your network. This is only the case if your ISY is not setup with static IP address And, finally, what's your router's make/model number? With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Hello hbsh01, In addition to Error Log (as Xathros suggested), please go to http://your.isy.ip.address/rest/config and send the result to support@universal-devices.com . Also, do programs continue to work when the unit is locked up? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Tim, The fact that you have to reset your PLM to get status is NOT good and must be fixed. Also, this could explain why your notification program does not work: If the program depends on status of a device, it's quite possible that the PLM is not sending status updates to ISY because either it no longer has the link to that device (you factory reset) or it's dead. Now, what happens if you right mouse click on that specific program (for which you have notification problems) and then choose Run Then? Do you get the notification? With kind regards, Michel

Only one node for new Insteon Thermostat 2441TH?
Hi Rich, This is not a fair question to ask us! We should have a beta this coming week and we'll let you decide on your own. With kind regards, Michel
