  1. Thanks johnnyt, Please do keep us posted. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello binaryman, The main issue is that you would not know what the status is in programs. So, the program may actually do something based on the door being locked (i.e. disarm security system) when it's actually unlocked. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Teken, Thank you but the problem is that All on/off is an all or nothing thing: when you enable it, it will impact ALL devices. Hi Tim, that's really odd. Can you please try your own name (as you have it setup on perhaps Outlook)? Hi binaryman, LeeG is 100% correct. We really cannot trust the status of MorningLinc and thus providing programming support for something we do not know is not a good idea. Hi Candide, thank you ... it's a work in progress (or was but we never got enough enthusiasm to follow through). With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hello ChrisNYC, You have to upgrade to 3.1.17 to support 2048 bit encryption. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi Illusion, Great observation! Quite odd as it seems they have been wiped out! With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi johnnyt, How's the performance on the new SD Card? I think most of the problems you were having were related to a defective SD Card. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Michel Kohanim replied to robandcathy1's topic in ISY994
Hi robandcathy, Please do not use Java 1.7 ... we spent a few days trying to figure out the source of intermittent Admin Console crashed and it turned out to be a bug in 1.7. Stay with .29 or .30. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello K7ZPJ, Thank you for your due diligence in finding the root cause and sharing it with us. Indeed appreciated. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi Teken, You are 100% correct ... this IS an undesired effect and I think we should simply disable it by default in the next release. It really does cause a lot of problems especially with thermostats. In the meantime, and as you mentioned, please do not use it. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi ChrisNYC, I am so very sorry for not giving you the details: 1. Go to https://www.universal-devices.com/ssl/insteon 2. Click on SSL Certificate Management | Create Certificate Request to CA 3. You will see a dialog with some numbers ... this is what you want to put in CACert utility (copy/paste) 4. Once you receive your certificate, then go to SSL Certificate Management | Receive Certificate from CA and Install (copy/paste again) With kind regards, Michel
  11. Teken, I am sorry to hear but there's not much you can do if your garage door is part of a scene. All INSTEON devices respond to All On/All Off commands regardless of their type. Even thermostats respond to All On/All Off commands (and go to 0!!!). We may be able to put an option to disable All On/All Off but this does not mean that these commands cannot be issued via other means. Also, I am not sure if you are still maintaining multiple installations (HouseLinc/ISY) and, as such, I would not know what configuration is where. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello rhubahb, I have not experienced this issue nor is there anything we have changed in that part of code. In all cases, and just ot have the same point of reference, may I humbly suggest upgrading to 3.1.17? With kind regards, Michel
  13. Mr. T, Please click on the link below: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.16/admin.jnlp This will install an icon on your desktop. Please use this icon from now on. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Tom, This error is not anything ISY would produce. I'll forward your post to Bob. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello all, Release 3.1.17 (RC) is now available. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.1.17 release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a minor release to address outstanding bugs and feature enhancements for 994 iZ Series. This release is our Official Release candidate so, please do be kind enough to test thoroughly. Things to test: - ELK issues for those who do not have ELK module installed - 994 iZ, multiple ECMs and nodes Important Information 1. Due to the sensitive nature of supporting MorningLinc/ELK Security Systems, users now must agree to terms and conditions upon Admin Console start up otherwise the dialog keeps popping up every time the Admin Console is started 2. Important If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one before the upgrade. 3. Please note that Network Resource modules are now running in their own task. This might have some ramifications as calling network resources from programs no longer waits for the resource to complete. As such, a) you will experience quicker handling of network resources/programs and if you are using DSCLinc and WebLinc, your programs may behave a little differently. Please do test your network resources thoroughly 4. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 5. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 6. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 7. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series 3. Important (If upgrading from 2.8.5 through 2.8.14) Due to invalid Java certificate chain, please make sure to remove all Universal Devices certificates from Java: a. Close all browser sessions b. Open Java Control Panel (Java Preferences on MAC) c. Click on the Security tab. Remove all Universal Devices certificates (on MAC, click on the '-' button at the bottom) e. Clear your Java Cache 4. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 5. Choose the file saved in step 2 6. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 7. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. 99/994i - http://isy/admin - applet (Windows only) b. 99/994i - http://isy/admin.jnlp - Java application (Windows only) c. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet d. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application e. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.17 - applet f. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.17/admin.jnlp - Java application Dashboard - not fully supported - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel
  17. sanders2222, Thanks so very much! You made our day. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi ChrisNYC, If you are using default certificate, you might want to change it to a valid one from http://www.cacert.org with 2048 security settings. This said, I am not entirely certain that this will fix the issue. Does it give you any more feedback? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi marksidell, TCP ports are totally configurable in Configuration | System | Network tab for HTTP and HTTPS the defaults for which are 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS). With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello marksidell, You have to make sure that ISY is listed in the white list/trusted zone for your firewall software. What you are experiencing is this: 1. When the Admin Console logs on to ISY, it also subscribes to ISY's events 2. ISY starts sending events back to the Admin Console 3. If ISY fails sending 3 events to the Admin Console, then it considers the subscription expired In some cases, firewall software are more lenient with https. So, you might want to use https://your.isy.ip.address instead just to try. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Guys, I have a call with Wayne tomorrow (Tuesday). With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello JMC, Not a known issue (or at least one that has never been reported). What firmware version? With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi Vince, Please take a look here: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... MTP_Errors -6 means that the server is not responding. This happens mostly ISY is blocked from connecting to a server on the Internet perhaps because the port you used is not correct OR that your ISP is blocking that specific port OR that your router is blocking ISY communications to the outside world. When you go to Configuration | System, can you synch with the NTP server? If not, then we will have to figure out why your router and/or ISP do not let ISY to get to the Internet. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Vince, Please take a look at your error log to see the error (-5000x). Also, it's advised not to use default because we quickly run out of the quota. If you have your own SMTP server, it's best to use that. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi morreale, Please do be kind enough to contact our sales dept (sales@universal-devices.com) and I am sure we'll find a way to make sure you have no downtime. We do not have a list that we can track but here are some that you should avoid and/or replace: SwitchLinc/ToggleLinc v35 KeypadLinc v2A and 2D With kind regards, Michel
