  1. Teken, I am sorry to hear but there's not much you can do if your garage door is part of a scene. All INSTEON devices respond to All On/All Off commands regardless of their type. Even thermostats respond to All On/All Off commands (and go to 0!!!). We may be able to put an option to disable All On/All Off but this does not mean that these commands cannot be issued via other means. Also, I am not sure if you are still maintaining multiple installations (HouseLinc/ISY) and, as such, I would not know what configuration is where. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello rhubahb, I have not experienced this issue nor is there anything we have changed in that part of code. In all cases, and just ot have the same point of reference, may I humbly suggest upgrading to 3.1.17? With kind regards, Michel
  3. Mr. T, Please click on the link below: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.16/admin.jnlp This will install an icon on your desktop. Please use this icon from now on. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi Tom, This error is not anything ISY would produce. I'll forward your post to Bob. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello all, Release 3.1.17 (RC) is now available. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.1.17 release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a minor release to address outstanding bugs and feature enhancements for 994 iZ Series. This release is our Official Release candidate so, please do be kind enough to test thoroughly. Things to test: - ELK issues for those who do not have ELK module installed - 994 iZ, multiple ECMs and nodes Important Information 1. Due to the sensitive nature of supporting MorningLinc/ELK Security Systems, users now must agree to terms and conditions upon Admin Console start up otherwise the dialog keeps popping up every time the Admin Console is started 2. Important If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one before the upgrade. 3. Please note that Network Resource modules are now running in their own task. This might have some ramifications as calling network resources from programs no longer waits for the resource to complete. As such, a) you will experience quicker handling of network resources/programs and if you are using DSCLinc and WebLinc, your programs may behave a little differently. Please do test your network resources thoroughly 4. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 5. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 6. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 7. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series 3. Important (If upgrading from 2.8.5 through 2.8.14) Due to invalid Java certificate chain, please make sure to remove all Universal Devices certificates from Java: a. Close all browser sessions b. Open Java Control Panel (Java Preferences on MAC) c. Click on the Security tab. Remove all Universal Devices certificates (on MAC, click on the '-' button at the bottom) e. Clear your Java Cache 4. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 5. Choose the file saved in step 2 6. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 7. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. 99/994i - http://isy/admin - applet (Windows only) b. 99/994i - http://isy/admin.jnlp - Java application (Windows only) c. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet d. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application e. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.17 - applet f. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.17/admin.jnlp - Java application Dashboard - not fully supported - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel
  7. sanders2222, Thanks so very much! You made our day. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi ChrisNYC, If you are using default certificate, you might want to change it to a valid one from http://www.cacert.org with 2048 security settings. This said, I am not entirely certain that this will fix the issue. Does it give you any more feedback? With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi marksidell, TCP ports are totally configurable in Configuration | System | Network tab for HTTP and HTTPS the defaults for which are 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS). With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello marksidell, You have to make sure that ISY is listed in the white list/trusted zone for your firewall software. What you are experiencing is this: 1. When the Admin Console logs on to ISY, it also subscribes to ISY's events 2. ISY starts sending events back to the Admin Console 3. If ISY fails sending 3 events to the Admin Console, then it considers the subscription expired In some cases, firewall software are more lenient with https. So, you might want to use https://your.isy.ip.address instead just to try. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Guys, I have a call with Wayne tomorrow (Tuesday). With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello JMC, Not a known issue (or at least one that has never been reported). What firmware version? With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Vince, Please take a look here: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... MTP_Errors -6 means that the server is not responding. This happens mostly ISY is blocked from connecting to a server on the Internet perhaps because the port you used is not correct OR that your ISP is blocking that specific port OR that your router is blocking ISY communications to the outside world. When you go to Configuration | System, can you synch with the NTP server? If not, then we will have to figure out why your router and/or ISP do not let ISY to get to the Internet. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Vince, Please take a look at your error log to see the error (-5000x). Also, it's advised not to use default because we quickly run out of the quota. If you have your own SMTP server, it's best to use that. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi morreale, Please do be kind enough to contact our sales dept (sales@universal-devices.com) and I am sure we'll find a way to make sure you have no downtime. We do not have a list that we can track but here are some that you should avoid and/or replace: SwitchLinc/ToggleLinc v35 KeypadLinc v2A and 2D With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello DrGlenn, Is it completely dead? Or, otherwise, what does "no longer functions" mean? If you have the same exact Motion Sensor, then you should be able to replace the old one with the new one. Please do make sure that: a. You have 2.8.16 or above b. Both are reporting the same model With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi robinasu, Yes, you can. All you have to do is to click on that specific scene and you will see a table with the status of all responders in that scene. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello morreale, Sincere apologies for the problems you are having. The power LED is definitely a defect and you can either have the unit replaced through Best Buy or you could send an RMA request to sales@universal-devices.com. You will not lose any of your current programs as long as you backup your ISY and then restore it on the replacement unit. Now, as far as the scenes not working: 1. Would you be kind enough to check the Program Summary tab and make sure that the Last runtime is accurate? If so, then go to step 2 2. If the programs actually ran, thus the problem seems to be INSTEON signal related. Do you have any SwitchLinc v35s? If so, then they must be replaced as they do cause intermittent network issues Another way to test the scenes is to right mouse click on the scene and then choose Diagnostics | Scene Test. Do all succeed? Again, sincere apologies. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Teken, I am not sure whether or not you are aware, but ISY has a simple and attractive interface much more superior to SmartLinc (which comes with releases 3.1.x and above). You do not need to always use the Admin Console. My only concern with using SmartLinc in conjunction with ISY is that it takes over the links created by ISY and thus a lot of intermittent problems. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello wrj0, Which portal module do you have? Please note that there's a bug in MobiLinc Connect module in 3.1.16. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hello clockwrkz, Apologies for the inconvenience. As apostolakisl mentioned, you do not need the ELK module. In order for us to find the root cause, would you be kind enough to: 1. change your userid/password to admin/admin 2. take a backup 3. send to support@universal-devices.com with a link to this post With kind regards, Michel
  22. binaryman, I wouldn't call it silly ... that's how RSA works. With kind regards, Michel
  23. binaryman, Please clear your Java cache and retry. I am not sure if you can use your current cert mostly because the cert request was not generated by ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Lee/Vince, Thanks so very much for the trace. We are looking into it. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello markgam, If you are using 99i, yes, it's a regular Cat5 cable. With kind regards, Michel
