Icon switches not available for "control" programm
Hi apostolakisl, Thanks. This is more than strange. The code path is the same for all switches (Admin Console goes through a list and checks capabilities based on device type. Both devices are LISTED in the same list so, if one works, the other one must as well). Above in combination with the fact that we recently added 2876DB in the list, basically point to an older version of the Admin Console. Did you try the following URL: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.4/admin.jnlp ? With kind regards, Michel

MorningLinc not Moving Deadbolt
Hello handyman300, If pressing the set button on MorningLinc (not the remote that comes with the lock) locks/unlocks your lock then please: 1. Remove MorningLinc from ISY 2. Do a factory rest on it 3. Link it back to the lock 4. Add it to ISY making sure you use the THIRD option (add existing links) With kind regards, Michel

why need to login twice... sometimes...?
Hi johnnyt, Thanks so very much. Disabling Java cache on .jnlp files may cause some problems one of which is that the computer is going to try and download all the files all the time and thus, if one fails, it might try to download it from ISY in which case you will be asked to login (from ISY). With kind regards, Michel

Icon switches not available for "control" programm
Hello apostolakisl, What URL are you using? Did you clear your Java cache before using the Admin Console. Again, support for 2876DB was added recently. Please try: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.4/admin.jnlp With kind regards, Michel

Log Always Empty
Hi Steve, This is quite strange ... if the file size is 48 bytes, then it should always be 48 bytes regardless of computer you are using. Please do be kind enough to contact our support team (818-631-0333) to schedule a support session. With kind regards, Michel

Using A10/X10 module device in a progarm
Hi Mack, The difference is basically the same: Status is evaluated IF AND ONLY IF the status of the device changes Control is evaluated regardless of the status of the device. So, if you send 10 on commands, they will all run the program in which Control is used but will only at most once where the Status is used (when the status actually changes). With kind regards, Michel

Hi JP, There's surely something wrong with either the AP or the thermostat since the range is usually more than 10 feet. Are these new APs? With kind regards, Michel

Icon switches not available for "control" programm
Hello apostolakisl, Thanks so very much. They both should work but 01.30 (2876DB) support was added in 2.8.3 and above. So, please do be kind enough to upgrade to 2.8.4 and make sure you are using the correct URL. With kind regards, Michel

why need to login twice... sometimes...?
Hello johnnyt, If so, then are you using the icon placed on your desktop? If so, do you still have to double login? And, if so, what is your ISY's firmware version (2.8.3 and below had a bug where the resources could not be found in the application). With kind regards, Michel

Log Always Empty
Hello Steve, Thanks. And, when you go to the directory where the file is saved, is the file size zero? With kind regards, Michel

Hello apostolakisl, Apologies for not being more clear. Please look for a tag that contains the switch. What you sent me is a folder element. Sorry. With kind regards, Michel

Icon switches not available for "control" programm
Hello apostolakisl, Can you go to http://your.isy.ip.address/rest/nodes, search for one of these problematic switches, and then copy/paste the contents of the element for that switch? Thanks and with kind regards, Michel

Log Always Empty
Hi Steve, Thanks for the update. So, to be clear, when you are asked whether or not you want to view the log in Excel, do you choose NO? If so, do you actually see where the log is saved? With kind regards, Michel

why need to login twice... sometimes...?
Hello johnnyt, The reason you will have to login twice is that the HTML interface is independent of the Admin Console. If you do not wish to login twice, you can bookmark any of the following: 1. http://isy/admin ... applet (Windows only) 2. http://isy/admin.jnlp ... application (Windows only) 3. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin ... applet (if the IP changes this will not work) 4. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp ... application (if the IP changes this will not work) 5. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/[version]/ ... applet; this depends on your Internet connection 6. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/[version]/admin.jnlp ... application; this depends on your Internet connection initially. Subsequent usages use the cache if you are not connected to the Internet If you do not want to rely on your Internet connection, then your choices are all except #5. With kind regards, Michel

Icon switches not available for "control" programm
Hello apostolakisl, I am rather confused: are we dealing with "icons" as the switch, "icons" as the node in Main, "icons" as the icons in the programs? In short, what disappears exactly and where? With kind regards, Michel

Log Always Empty
Hi SteveSBE, That is indeed quite odd since neither your error log nor your log is empty (based on the output of the telnet). I think the best thing to do would be to have a support call scheduled so that we can see what's going on. With kind regards, Michel

Question about thermostat for insteon
Hello ingeborgdot, If you are going to have ISY run the programs for your thermostat, then the one day would be enough. If you would like to have your thermostat run the programs itself, then you must get the 7 day. Programming with ISY is easy but might require a little getting used to: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... e#Programs With kind regards, Michel

"New Program" adds to Summary but not Detail Page
Hi johnnyt, Do you have any other instances of Admin Console running on other computers (or other clients that have the ability to create programs)? If so, that's could be another cause: if another instance "refreshes" the programs, all other instances do a refresh and you might lose programs that have not yet been saved. With kind regards, Michel

VenStar T1800 Triggers
Hello JP, For change of state to work on V2 thermostats, you must link it to ISY when it's in the off position. Otherwise, you are not going to get any state changes. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.8.4 Beta is now available
Hi Candide, Thanks so very much for the update. I can tell you from personal experience that sometimes the switching power supplies in computers (and especially laptop power supplies) get noisy with time. This is also the case with older monitors. With kind regards, Michel

Why does it show a light bulb symbol when its a Appliance
sun-sense, It's mostly due to our desire to keep the applet size small. Light bulbs signify "responders" and buttons signify "controllers". With kind regards, Michel

Log Always Empty
SteveSBE, If you are using Windows Vista/7 with Office 2007-2010, then please do make sure that the MACROS are enabled. If not, you will see nothing in Excel. As a test, you could ask ISY not to show the logs in Excel and instead save it to a file. With kind regards, Michel
