  1. Hi Ken, Thanks so very much. I'll contact them shortly. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello apostolakisl, I totally agree with you! The best and most elegant solution is IRLinc TX but, unfortunately, that's not working out either. We did have an IR out board all manufactured and ready to go but, considering the markup by distributors, our cost was WAY higher than Global Caché ... With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Tom, I am so very glad it worked! There are no other default configurations that you should worry about. Using your own SMTP server has many advantages foremost of which is privacy. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi Billy, Please try increasing the timeout to 2000 (or above). Do you know whether or not hotmail uses TLS (do you have TLS check in your mail client?). Also, we just added a temporary email account that you can use: http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... 5504#35504 With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello kclark, Long ago we did consider RFXCOM devices but the prices were simply too high. Do you have Bert's contact information? With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello bocaray, Most ISPs do NOT allow port 25 to go through. Are you certain the port is 25 and not 587? With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello all, Thanks so very much. This should be included in the next build. We just have to make sure it does not have any negative impact on V1 thermostats. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello all, Sincere apologies for the inconvenience: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=4818 Our mail server has reached its limit for this month! With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello travcore, May I humbly ask what is your ISY's firmware revision? This device has been supported for the longest time and specifically in 2.7.15 (our official release). Also, what URL are you using to access your ISY? Please try using http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello Mack, I am not sure if the recent versions have changed, but according to the API specs, the max was 8.5 minutes. We do not use HouseLinc as our reference. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Log

Michel Kohanim replied to Joe Dunn's topic in ISY994
Hi Joe, System means activities that were processed by the system such as messages coming from your INSTEON devices, through the powerline, onto the PLM, and then to ISY. Program means the activity that was done to a device by a Program in ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello bocaray, It seems that we have reached the total allotment of emails for the default account. As such, it's always good to use your own SMTP settings. Are you using a mail client, such as Outlook, to access your bell south account? With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hello jwf, Unfortunately Mutex buttons only work at local levels. i.e. if you have a KPL mutex button and then you drop it as a responder in another scene, the mutex relationships have no bearing whatsoever on the outcome: the button responds to the scene command as if there are NO mutex relationships. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Billy, It seems that the mail server does not like your userid/password. Are you using the default mail server or yours? You might want to: 1. make sure your userid/password are correct 2. increase the timeout by 500 ms With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello Billy, Thanks so very much for reminding me. I had ordered it about 10 days ago and I still have not received it. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Log

Hello Joe, Control are basically properties of a device. i.e. Status is a control and so is Temperature, Heat/Cool Setpoint, etc. D3 and D11 are X10 house/unit codes and they should be listed under Node. User are basically tasks that cause a certain event such as: Web ... someone from the web did something Program ... a program causes this event System ... system generated events It's totally up to you how large your log size should be. Default is 3MB. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi Moshe, LeeG is right on! The only thing other parameters are: 1. Grace period (Configuration | System tab) 2. Catchup schedules (Configuration | System tab) ... this will evaluate and run all missed schedules at boot up 3. Run at start up in the Program Summary tab ... causes the program to be evaluated and/or run at start up What I recommend are the following: Instead of using a specific time, use From To ... this way, enabling that Run at Startup will run this program for that time period With kind regards, Michel

  19. Hello apostolakisl, We did in fact try this route about 2 years ago but abandoned it since we didn't want to compete with SmartHome's products. We may resurrect it but I really do think a Global Caché solution will be much more elegant and functional. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi Jim, Apologies. What yo need to do is to go to Configuration | System tab and check the settings. First, try DHCP checkbox and see if that makes any difference. If it does, then we can figure out how to make it static. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hello someguy, No, actually ISY should provide you with an instruction dialog on the steps required to link your 2411t. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Jim, Apologies for a tardy reply. Is your ISY on a static IP address? If so, what is the DNS server you are using? The problem you are describing is because ISY cannot access the DNS server (Domain Name Service) which translates names to IP addresses. If you are using a static IP for your ISY, you should use the router's IP address as the DNS server. With kind regards, Michel
  23. robandcathy, Part 1 depends on part 2 and the answer to part 2 is that I have not seen any such device. I heard some rumors of INSTEON temperature sensors but I am not sure in what shape/form they come (i.e. whether or not they are waterproof). With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hello someguy, Did you get a dialog with instructions when you added your IRLincTX? With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi Brian, Unfortunately we cannot do that right now. With kind regards, Michel
