  1. Hi Jim, Yes! I think the main problem is this: 1. You have a static IP address for your ISY 2. When ISY sends DNS request, your router checks to see if the device (in this case ISY) is a client. Since ISY has a static IP address, the router simply rejects the request since it's not a client The first thing I would suggest is to check your router's documentation to see if it allows for DHCP/Lease Reservations. If it does, then what you need to do is: 1. Go back to Admin Console | Configuration | System and change the network settings back to DHCP 2. Go to your router and have it reserve an IP address for ISY If you are still having issues, please send the model number of your router to support@universal-devices.com and we'll try to help you out. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Rob, Three questions: 1. For 1and1, do you know whether or not they use TLS? 2. Are you filling out the from field to match your account/user name? 3. Do you know which port they use? With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Jim, Thanks so very much for the update. This said, however, I do not think this is going to last since WAN gateway/DNS are changed routinely by your ISP. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Ah, so very sorry ... thanks for the clarification. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello Clarence, Two questions: 1. How many devices/scenes do you have? 2. What URL do you use to access your ISY? While waiting for answers, please try: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp (I think you used to use this on your MAC, no?). With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello jwf, Unfortunately not. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello jwf, I think we are talking about two completely separate things: all along I had been under the impression that you are talking to brightness level (backlight) but it seems that you are talking about button grouping. Correct? With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello ixlr8, Would you be kind enough to try the following: 1. Start the DOS command prompt on your computer 2. Type: nslookup pool.ntp.org 3. Go to the Admin Console Configuration | System tab and enter the ip address as you found on #2 for the NTP server 4. Click on the synch now button I just want to make sure you actually do have access to the outside world. Do your emails work? With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello Ottermator, Apologies for a tardy reply. Unfortunately we do not have an iGateway and thus it would be rather difficult for any one of us at UDI to provide an objective comparison. As far as enabling Internet Access, it's quite easy to enable Internet Access for your ISY as well. If you are having difficulties, please do not hesitate to give a call to our tech support team and we'll help you set it up. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello tsolve! That's precisely the function of folders: to put constraints on programs therein. For instance, you could have programs for summer/winter/Christmas/etc. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Mark, 1. Wait for the new PLM 2. Reboot your ISY with the new PLM and then do File | Restore Modem (PLM) 3. Add/replace your new devices The only reason is that your old PLM may die in the middle of this process. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello jwf, You do need KPL versions 2D and above. Furthermore, brightness level is a global attribute and is not adjustable for individual buttons. I think this would explain the errors. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Rick, We are working with Check-it.ca and they have 100s of installations of Brultech meters. From what I gather, the accuracy is within 2%. The reason is that Current Cost does not measure voltage; only current. Brultech measures both voltage and current. The only problems with Brultech are: 1. A little more expensive 2. Does not handle 3 phase circuits I think Check-it can provide you with more information as they have been testing many meters and have chosen Brultech after much investigation. With kind regards, Michel
  14. jwf, How about if you try to change the scene settings for this KPL (if it belongs to any scenes)? With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi jwf, This sounds like a file system failure. 1. Please make sure you are on v 2.7.15 2. Try making some other configuration change for this KPL such as changing the on level/ramp rate in a scene to which this KPL belongs If you still get the same error, then I strongly recommend restoring your ISY with the last good backup. And, finally, as far as brightness, your KPL does not support that feature. That feature is only available in version 1D and above. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello and apologies for a tardy reply. There are only two explanations for this: 1. Defective PLM 2. Noise I think we have ruled out #2 since you moved your PLM and you still had the same issue. If you have the same issue with all your devices, then I am almost certain you have a defective PLM. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello grossmd, Unfortunately, you cannot turn off a remote KPL button by sending it an on command from a controller. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi robandcathy, At this point I have to suspect a defective PLM. What's your PLM version number? i.e. what do you see when you go to Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Status/Info. If you open the Event Viewer to level 3, what type of traffic do you see (try querying a device)? Do you see many INST-ACKs without INST-SRX? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hello Tim, If the Error is not blinking (in any combination) then the problem is that ISY cannot communicate with the PLM. If you had SD Card issues, you would surely get the error light to blink. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello Brian, Unfortunately not. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hello kingwr, The execution ends as soon as the condition of the calling program becomes false. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello ! It's quite simple! The most important thing you have to note is that the Wait statement may be interrupted. So, all you have to do is to add a Wait for 15 minutes in the Action section before the Notify statement. Now, if the status of the program changes within that 15 minutes, then no notifications are sent. Otherwise, notification is sent. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hello rtt3821, LeeG is, as always, right on! If you still have problems connecting with your ISY, please contact our tech support team so that we can resolve this issue more expeditiously: 818-631-0333 OR http://www.universal-devices.com/contact.htm With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Brian, Please take a look at this entry: Scene:Outside / Garage, Entry, Park Floods On 255 Sun 2010/07/18 03:33:04 PM Program Log It seems that you have a program that turns that scene on. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello robandcathy, You have very many devices that are out of synch with ISY (0101 icons). These devices must first become in synch with ISY before you can do anything else otherwise the whole system will be completely out of synch. Have you tried moving your PLM to a different location to see if you can update those devices? With kind regards, Michel
