  1. Hi Guys, The problem is fixed based on the records but it seems that it has not gotten into 2.7.15. The problem is that ISY was using an INT which didn't have enough range to support larger capacities. If you do not mind alpha software, please do send an email to support@universal-devices.com and please try 2.8.0. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello Mr. Giffen, As far as I can tell, the value is a number between 0 - 100 and it denotes the ambient light level. The light rate is the percentage of change in hour. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hello Billy, Just got the thermostat, installed it, and it's on the list of things to do shortly. Unless it's an API/Thermostat problem, I do not think this is going to take long. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi Dennis, Would you be kind enough to: 1. Clear your java cache 2. Go to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/da ... admin.jnlp Let me know if you still have the same issue. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello jwf, If you get a request failed for backlight, it's because your KPL does not support it. As far as disable, ISY cannot really physically disable an INSTEON device. This feature is there to let you remove a device from an outlet without ISY complaining about not being able to communicate with it. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello jwf, ISY with IR option allows you to trigger based on whatever you like but it's really up to you to program it as a toggle vs. non-toggle. i.e. the action part of the program decides what needs to be done. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello wrdarnell, You can name it whatever you like! With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello Dennis, ISY supports up to 16GB. There was a bug in the UI reporting routine which is fixed. In any case, please: 1. Take a backup of your system 2. Telnet to ISY 3. Issue FS (formats the SD Card) ... although ISY works with both FAT 16/32, the FS function formats it specifically for use with ISY with some performance improvements Once FS is complete. you will have to go to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i and then reinstall 2.7.15 and then restore your backup. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello paulbram, The issue with WB alerts is that it has to be sent ... as far as I know, there's no way for us to query the alert status yet. We do have plans for WB improvements such as forecasts and evatranspiration but currently on low priority. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello gtrotter4, Sincere apologies for a tardy reply. The first question I have is whether or not you could connect remotely via a browser (not iPhone). This can help us isolate the problem. Unfortunately there's not much you can do to prevent the router/modem reboot. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Jim, Yes! I think the main problem is this: 1. You have a static IP address for your ISY 2. When ISY sends DNS request, your router checks to see if the device (in this case ISY) is a client. Since ISY has a static IP address, the router simply rejects the request since it's not a client The first thing I would suggest is to check your router's documentation to see if it allows for DHCP/Lease Reservations. If it does, then what you need to do is: 1. Go back to Admin Console | Configuration | System and change the network settings back to DHCP 2. Go to your router and have it reserve an IP address for ISY If you are still having issues, please send the model number of your router to support@universal-devices.com and we'll try to help you out. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Rob, Three questions: 1. For 1and1, do you know whether or not they use TLS? 2. Are you filling out the from field to match your account/user name? 3. Do you know which port they use? With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Jim, Thanks so very much for the update. This said, however, I do not think this is going to last since WAN gateway/DNS are changed routinely by your ISP. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Ah, so very sorry ... thanks for the clarification. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello Clarence, Two questions: 1. How many devices/scenes do you have? 2. What URL do you use to access your ISY? While waiting for answers, please try: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp (I think you used to use this on your MAC, no?). With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello jwf, Unfortunately not. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello jwf, I think we are talking about two completely separate things: all along I had been under the impression that you are talking to brightness level (backlight) but it seems that you are talking about button grouping. Correct? With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello ixlr8, Would you be kind enough to try the following: 1. Start the DOS command prompt on your computer 2. Type: nslookup pool.ntp.org 3. Go to the Admin Console Configuration | System tab and enter the ip address as you found on #2 for the NTP server 4. Click on the synch now button I just want to make sure you actually do have access to the outside world. Do your emails work? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hello Ottermator, Apologies for a tardy reply. Unfortunately we do not have an iGateway and thus it would be rather difficult for any one of us at UDI to provide an objective comparison. As far as enabling Internet Access, it's quite easy to enable Internet Access for your ISY as well. If you are having difficulties, please do not hesitate to give a call to our tech support team and we'll help you set it up. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello tsolve! That's precisely the function of folders: to put constraints on programs therein. For instance, you could have programs for summer/winter/Christmas/etc. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Mark, 1. Wait for the new PLM 2. Reboot your ISY with the new PLM and then do File | Restore Modem (PLM) 3. Add/replace your new devices The only reason is that your old PLM may die in the middle of this process. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello jwf, You do need KPL versions 2D and above. Furthermore, brightness level is a global attribute and is not adjustable for individual buttons. I think this would explain the errors. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi Rick, We are working with Check-it.ca and they have 100s of installations of Brultech meters. From what I gather, the accuracy is within 2%. The reason is that Current Cost does not measure voltage; only current. Brultech measures both voltage and current. The only problems with Brultech are: 1. A little more expensive 2. Does not handle 3 phase circuits I think Check-it can provide you with more information as they have been testing many meters and have chosen Brultech after much investigation. With kind regards, Michel
  24. jwf, How about if you try to change the scene settings for this KPL (if it belongs to any scenes)? With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi jwf, This sounds like a file system failure. 1. Please make sure you are on v 2.7.15 2. Try making some other configuration change for this KPL such as changing the on level/ramp rate in a scene to which this KPL belongs If you still get the same error, then I strongly recommend restoring your ISY with the last good backup. And, finally, as far as brightness, your KPL does not support that feature. That feature is only available in version 1D and above. With kind regards, Michel
