  1. Hi gwarthur, Yes, in 2.7.7 and above, right mouse click on the device and then click on Disable. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Steve, Thanks so very much for the feedback. Do you reboot the ISY or both ISY and the PLM? Also, what is your PLM version? With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi wwat, Unfortunately you cannot since the Motion Sensors do not respond to an IDReq command. That's why you cannot add them using Auto Discover and that's why you cannot get the firmware version out of them. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi CJVann, You should be able to click on the controller button (say D) and then slide the slider for C to Off. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi CJVann, Wow, that's quite odd. That is indeed a problem since the whole point of JNLP is that you would not have to download it as long as it has not changed. What operating system do you have? With kind regards, Michel Java temporary disk space is set to 1000M, and I just did a "Delete Files" earlier today, and a few days before that (both boxes checked). I'm running 2.7.11. It opens the console okay, the only issue is that it keeps telling me there's an update.
  6. Correct Correct. All you have to do is to make sure they are NOT listed in My Lighting. If you have add communications errors where some of your devices still have the green 0101 icons, then you would want to make sure all of them are written and that you do not have any green icons. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi CJ, This will happen if your Java cache is FULL! In short, Java cannot cache the file and as such it keeps asking you to download it. You might want to increase the total cache size. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Mark, I am totally lost as to what your question is. If you have any left over links in your ISY, i.e. if ISY thinks there are still devices registered in ISY, then restore PLM is going to write them to the PLM. If you are absolutely certain that all your devices HAVE BEEN REMOVED then you do not have to worry about it. With kind regards, Michel Okay, I understand this part. But it doesn't (I think) answer my question. Expanding the quote a bit and restating my question: What do you mean by your earlier statement "As long as you do not have any links in your ISY" in this context? Seems to indicate that there must be no links in the ISY before it can write ISY's links to the PLM. What am I missing here? Thanks, --Mark
  9. Hi Mark, ISY maintains a copy of all the linkages between all your devices and the PLM. Restore Modem is going to use this information and recreate the links in the PLM. With kind regards, Michel Sorry for being dense here, but what do you mean by "links in your ISY"? The rest makes sense to me. Thanks, --Mark
  10. Hi auger66, I can say that from our testing in the lab, 2413s works fine as long as you do not have any V1 thermostats. The read/write operations are not as smooth as 2412s but they are not noticeable. There's one odd thing that is happening in the lab for which we have not yet been able to find a cure: Dual Band lamp linc turns on by itself and then turns back off. Apart from the above 2, I think 2413s is safe but, then again, it has not been as thoroughly tested as 2412s. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Mark, Yes. As long as you do not have any links in your ISY, the PLM is first factory reset and then all active links are written back to it. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Mark, What firmware version did you use to remove your SWLs? File | Restore Modem (PLM) fixes all these issues but please make sure you either use 2.7.7 or 2.7.11 if you so choose to perform this operation. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Michel Kohanim replied to drw's topic in ISY994
Hi drw, Thanks for the update. This might also be related to issues with HTTPS and versions below 2.7.7. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi, Thanks. Please do make sure to reset all parental controls and ensure that ISY is not listed in the devices which are restricted from accessing the Internet. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi murrolems, I was just trying to figure out if there was any common devices between the scenarios where ISY cannot get to the outside world. And, yes, it does include getting to Verizon's SMTP servers as well. Did you try checking the Parental Control? With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hi Steve, How about Java cache? Has it been cleared? With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi stevehoyt, As AnthemAVM suggested, it might be your firewall software (although we have found TrendMicro to be the least intrusive of firewalls). Also, you might want to make sure you have cleared your Java cache and that you are using the correct URL for accessing your ISY (if you are going through our website). With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi Mark: No it is not. Yes. No. ISY is not affected at all UNLESS you use "Import/Install options" ... Yes and the client only memorizes the last one. As such, if you issue CSRs, you will have errors if you try to import the certificate for the former. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi mitch236, As markens suggested, we do not support client certificates and have no plans on doing so. So, you would still have to manage userid/password. Please try another self signed certificate. To do so: 1. ensure you have 2.7.11 2. go to https://www.universal-devices.com/ssl/insteon With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi again, Unfortunately we have not yet found any solution whatsoever for this issue. We do have 1000s of customers on Verizon FIOS and without any issues except for 3 cases (including yours). Would you be kind enough to let me know what else you have connected to your network? With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hello murrolems, I do apologize for the inconvenience. If you have Verizon Fios with an ActionTec router, then you are one of the few where, for some reason, ISY is not given access to the outside world. We are trying to resolve this issue as we speak but it's quite difficult to find someone knowledgeable at Verizon. In one case, the parental controls were applied to ISY and that's why ISY could not get to the outside world. But, in 2 other cases, no matter what we tried, we could not figure out what's causing the problem. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello upstatemike, For large installations, 2413S would not work. For smaller installation (say 70 to 100 devices and not too many scenes), 2413S might be an option. We are still testing. ISY needs to be powered by an external power supply. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hello RLIKWARTZ, I will do further testing ... please note that folders do not have to have unique names. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi wwat, The problem is how you added them to ISY. If you did not use Auto Discover, then ISY would not have a clue as to what the version number is (and thus 00). With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello intellihome, Although I understand your frustrations (I would've been even more) but I must say that amongst all the other protocols out there, INSTEON is much more reliable ... but, then again, that comes from my development experiences using others. The most important thing is to make sure the load for those devices are not causing noise AND that you do not have a mixture of SignaLincs and Access Points. With kind regards, Michel
