Problem with one KPL and voice commands
Just checking to see if anyone had any thoughts on this issue? When I ask this KPL to turn on 30% (or any percentage) Alexa asks "Did you mean Basement Living Room?" When I say yes she just turns it on 100% Every other device (KPLs included) have no problem turning on to any percentage. The lights being controlled are dimmable. As faros I can see theres no difference in the basement KPL set up from any other in the house. Drew

Alexa Constantly asking "Did you mean...?"
Sorry that should have said Theater Room. I have the SWL device in the ISY and ISY portal as ‘Theater room’ and the Alexa app online recognizes it. Exactly like everything else. nothing else had the word Theater in its description or name. Just as an aside I had to chance the name from theatre room to Theater room because she didn’t recognize that word.

Alexa Constantly asking "Did you mean...?"
I noticed the issue was still lingering intermittently. I live rurally so I always blame terrible internet service first and foremost. I will try that too thank you.

Alexa Constantly asking "Did you mean...?"
the title pretty much says it all. I'll ask her to turn on heater room and she'll ask that every time. She then does it but this behaviour is new. Is it an internet thing? Or a device issue?

Problem with one KPL and voice commands
Just giving this post a bump. Hoping someone has had this issue or a solution. Should I try to Restore Device?

Problem with Voice command scene
I did as you said. I named everything Sink instead of Kitchen Sink, etc. Worked great. Thank you for that. Drew

Problem with one KPL and voice commands
I'll check them out. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix my KPL issue?

Problem with Voice command scene
I have other rooms with similar setups and don't have a problem. (i.e. Big Room is a scene that triggers fine. Big Room Ceiling, Big Room Wall Sconces, etc are devices in that scene.) The Kitchen is basically the same. I have a scene called Kitchen. I'm pretty sure it used to trigger Kitchen Sink, Kitchen uppers, Kitchen lowers but now it says "A few things..." the scene triggers off a KPL C button fine. Just telling her to turn on Kitchen has recently been an issue. Drew

Problem with one KPL and voice commands
I've had this issue for a while now with the KPL. Larry, what's a CAO? Other KPLs can take a command for a percentage, just not this one in particular. Is there something I can do to fix this? (i.e. rediscover or whatnot) Drew

Problem with Voice command scene
I have a scene called Kitchen. I have lights in it called Kitchen Sink, Kitchen Uppers, Kitchen Lowers. I have a scene called "Kitchen" and the voice command is called the same. When I tell her to turn on "Kitchen" she says "A few things share the name Kitchen, which one do I want?" Nothing else is called Kitchen. I don't have two scenes called kitchen, or a routine, nothing that I see. If I make the voice command Wombat it works. I'd like it to be Kitchen as I don't want to say Turn On The Wombat on a daily basis. (nothing against wombats) Drew

Problem with one KPL and voice commands
I have a few KPLs and it seems I have an issue with a voice command for one. For the load (A button) I cant seem to tell Alexa to turn the light on to a percentage, just on or off. Its registered as a light in the ISY Portal, Alexa's online GUI has it just the same as the other lights. I must be overlooking something but I'm not sure what. Drew

This item already has a spoken
So it turns out it depends on how you search the Portal to check the scene. If you click on the drop down to search by scene it doesn't show you the spoken phrase (picture 1) If you search for the scene with the search function (picture 2) it shows you a slightly different screen that includes the spoken phrase (picture 3)

Alexa doesn't 'support that'
Success. I had a Group in the Alexa website (I'm not sure what to call the page) called Library. I deleted it and now I can call the SWL Library and it behaves as it should. Just leaving my findings here to help someone else if they have the same issue

Alexa doesn't 'support that'
Just checking to see if anyone had any ideas? I've tried deleting the SWL from the Portal and re-adding it. I have noticed the Alexa website (where I refresh and it populates the ISY stuff) calls some of my lights Amazon Smart Devices. Does this have something to do with the issue? I've tried deleting the 'amazon smart device' leaving just the library which is labeled ISY and the numbered address. It still doesn't seem to work properly

This item already has a spoken
I had a scene that used the spoken phrase "Living Room" I've since deleted it and refreshed everything. It still won't let me use the spoken phrase. It say "This item already has a spoken" Is there a cache I need to flush? if so, how would I go about that?

Alexa doesn't 'support that'
I've had this issue for a while now. Under Spoken Word I have a SWL called 'Library' When I tell Alexa to turn it on she says 'Library Doesn't Support That" I have it in the Portal as a light. Not sure why it never lets me use that word. I had to make an alternate spoken 'book room' but I'd prefer Library Is there something I'm overlooking?

Is there a way to Copy Scene?
I have a room with many lights and I want to say Turn on 10%, Turn on 20% etc. Is there a way I can make one scene, copy it several times and just adjust the brightness of the lights? Drew

Looking for module with no switch
Hi Steve, I haven't done the work yet as I was still humming and hawing over what the better solution was. So I greatly appreciate you chiming in on this. I was leaning toward using an actual switch. I'll now hum and haw over where I want to put the switch itself. Again, thank you for posting Drew

Looking for module with no switch
This was another thought. I have a 2477S. I just have to Find an out of the way spot for it. I figured with the attic hot in summer and cold in winter I'd have problems at some point. Thanks for the advice guys, Drew

Looking for module with no switch
I’ve searched for Insteon module with no switch and I seem to keep finding a plug in lamplinc my scenario is this i want to install a floodlight at the peak of my house. The other side of the wall at this peak would be an empty crawl space attic. I don’t really want to put a switch up there. I once saw a module that you could just wire inline and control it from any other device. Does anyone know this device and is it good? Is it easier to just abandon a switch in the attic?

Non dimmable LEDs with Dimmer
Thank you Larry (for the info and the quick reply) I didn't think it would be an issue for a few Home Depot LED 60W bulbs but I wanted to check regardless. No motors, just 6 bulbs.

Non dimmable LEDs with Dimmer
Is it okay to have non dimmable LED bulbs running off a SWL dimmer or a KPL if I have the ramp and on values maxed? If i have to get dimmable LED bulbs its not a deal breaker. Just asking

Wanting to control scene when telling Alexa to play or pause movie
Just a quick thought. I have the ISY994i. All my theatre gear is triggered by IR signals coming from a Harmony Hub into one of two connecting blocks (they connect all IR blasters, one for upstairs, one for downstairs). Alexa communicates with the Harmony hub through voice activation. Would there be a way to connect the ISY with an IR blaster and make a workaround somehow? I have the gear to stick to the IR on the ISY. Just trying to work out a solution before I go and tear my setup apart. Drew

Wanting to control scene when telling Alexa to play or pause movie
Still No luck with Library (just checked) I have no scenes called Library, just one SWL. When I say Turn On Library it says Library doesn't support that. Book Room works fine. Maybe I should pronounce it like Fonzie and called it a Libary?

Wanting to control scene when telling Alexa to play or pause movie
My First Experiment. I programmed the voice activation for an ISY scene "Play Apple TV" and added it to a routine in the Alexa app. When I said it the lights of course dimmed appropriately. But the apple tv didn't pause anymore. Deleting this routine allowed Apple tv to pause correctly again. ...sigh... As I was typing this I was thinking about how scenes won't dim or brighten anymore and I may have been asking the 'Library Scene' to dim. I'll have to revisit this at a later date to see if that is indeed the case.
