  1. Not right now. But I'll look to see if I can find it.
  2. If you mean putting the ILL inside a switch box I can do that. I assumed the ILL fits inside one. I wouldn't have the wires tied and just hanging out not shielded in an electrical box.
  3. It won't be motion activated. Its a multi head LED fixture, very simple. I'm not sure what you mean by 'offering a direct link to the LED"?
  4. My issue is as I stated above. The wiring for the device will be in the attic. No extra wiring will be brought down in to the house. I was hoping this device would let me do as I described. Its sounding as if its not a good idea now...
  5. Could I not just throw the breaker if I need to change the bulb? Do these inline products fail a lot?
  6. Good point. I'll go for the dimmable Inline link http://www.smarthome.com/in-linelinc-dimmer-insteon-2475da1-remote-control-in-line-dimmer-dual-band.html I believe this is what I want then?
  7. Hi Larry; Do I need to install a SWL to control the light? Will this device not let me control the light from a KPL elsewhere in the house? Hi Teken; I won't need to dim the light as it'll solely be a spotlight for letting dogs out the basement walkout. What device should I be looking for then? Drew
  8. Hi guys; I want to put an outdoor LED spotlight on the side of my house. The location of the picture would be high enough so that the wiring would come from inside the attic to the outer wall. Clearly I can't go into the attic to turn the light on and off so I'm wondering off this is what I need http://www.smarthome.com/in-linelinc-relay-insteon-2475sdb-remote-control-in-line-on-off-switch-dual-band.html Unless theres a better suited device to buy. Drew
  9. Hi Larry; The three pack dimmers was the reason I started this thread. I don't need dimmers as much as ON/OFF modules but I couldn't find a deal on them.
  10. I figured as much but thought I'd put the question out there. Thanks Paul
  11. Hi guys; Just saw a Black Friday sale on a three pack of these (Insteon LampLinc Plug In Dimmer) and was wondering if I could use this dimming LampLinc with a non dimming item such as a fan. If I have the ON/OFF ramp rates at 0 Let me know, If I'm allowed to plug the store where the sale is I'd love to share but I don't know what the rules for advertising on the forum are.
  12. I've cranked the SWL LED brightness setting int he ISY and still no LEDs When I did the the above test (holding the set button, etc) the LEDs lit through the whole 'tree'(?) so I know they work and I've not broken them . Is there a possible way I shut them off manually trying to 4 tap the SWL? If so, how do you get it back to the way it was? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Drew
  13. Hi techman; Thank you for the tip. Clearly I had an ID10T moment. I checked other SWL LED brightness levels and they're all 0. What is the standard LED brightness level from the factory? Gary, I do use the ISY for the programming. I was attempting to diagnose an issue by using the elusive 4 tap method and thought I should correct it by using the same physical means. Drew
  14. Hi guys; In an attempt to troubleshoot some instead issues I seem to have shut off the LEDs on the side of a Switchlinc. I've googled and found the method below but seem to be missing something as I can't get it to work. IS this right or is there a step missing? Press & hold the Set button until it beeps (3 seconds) The Status LED will begin blinking Press & hold the Set button until it beeps again (3 seconds) The Status LED will continue blinking Press & hold the Set button until it beeps a third time (3 seconds) The Status LED will stop blinking Use the paddle to brighten or dim the LEDs to the desired brightness Press & hold the paddle top to brighten Press & hold the paddle bottom to dim
  15. Just to be clear, Take one device out of the original ALL OFF scene and add it to the new Button test scene. Then try the ALL OFF KPL button to check the original. And then check the BUTTON TEST from the Admin Console. Repeat until I find an issue with the BUTTON test scene or the ALL OFF KPL scene responds the way it should Drew
  16. Hi Guys; I just simplified the program to this. Ktichen Dim Off - [iD 0008][Parent 0001] If Control 'Kitchen Sink' is switched Off Then Set Scene 'Kitchen Dim' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') It doesn't take into account if anything is true or false, it just shuts off the three kitchen lights regardless of state. Probably not the best fix but it'll do until I can figure out why such a simple program didn't work. Drew
  17. Hi Stu; I tried this and the LED responds perfectly when triggered by the Admin console Drew
  18. Hi Larry; I tried your idea of Status >= 1% I went upstairs and pressed my KPL G to turn on the scene, went downstairs and shut off all the lights. When I came back upstairs the LED was still lit. This seems like a simple program. I don't understand why it doesn't work. I have a problem getting the KPL LED to correctly reflect the status of a device. for instance, when I turn on the KPL G button it turns on the lamps downstairs. I also have those lamps to be triggered by a KPL button downstairs (separate KPL than the one we're discussing) When I went downstairs to shut everything else off the KPL LED wasn't lit. I have to press the KPL to 'turn on' the lamps that are already on to shut them off. Drew
  19. 99% of the KPL buttons are in the usual factory setting (on/off) I have two KPL buttons that are in non toggle off but they aren't part of the issues here. I have a program like that but it seems to not be 100% accurate. Basement G Off - [iD 0009][Parent 0001] If Status 'Andrew's Office-Office' is not Off Or Status 'Basement Hall' is not Off Or Status 'Basement KPL-Living Room' is not Off Or Status 'Lamp Left' is not Off Or Status 'Lamp Right' is not Off Or Status 'Rocking Chair Lamp' is not Off Or Status 'Theatre Room' is not Off Or Status 'Turtle' is not Off Then Set Scene 'Basement LED' On Else Set Scene 'Basement LED' Off Sometimes the LED is lit even though no lights are on. (the KPL button that stays lit is also the KPL button that triggers the basement scene) To be clearer, One KPL button when turned on turns on three lights in the basement. When its turned off it shuts off all basement lights regardless if they were in the scene. It usually accomplishes this but the LED on the KPL button is sometimes left lit. I wonder if its because of slow ramp rates on the lights?
  20. What about when I can't add the KPL to the scene? (If the KPL is in the scene it tells me I can't add it as its already in the scene) For example, I have a program like this If Light A is on, wait 4 minutes then shut light A off Light A is controlled by a KPL button (not the load) When the light goes out (when the timer runs down) the KPL LED is still lit. I have this issue in a few situations in my set up. If a scene or program turns on lights that are controlled by KPL buttons (again, not load) when the light goes off the LED is still on. I'd love to have a surefire way to have the KPL LEDs reflect the status of a scene or the status of a light. If the light is on, LED is on. If the light is OFF,, LED is off.
  21. When I execute the OFF from the run>then path it shuts off correctly. I do note that sometimes there are conditions that don't let the program (ON program) run properly. If all the lights are off the program doesn't run. Or turn on only one of the three lights. I sometimes have to turn on another light in the scene to get the ON program to execute properly. Is this line noise (please say no) or is it a loop in my program because I have the same trigger for both programs? Should I have the OFF program be If light A is not off or light B is not off or light C is not off and kitchen sink is switched off then Shut scene ABC off
  22. I have this program Kitchen Dim - [iD 000B][Parent 0001] If Status 'Kitchen Sink' is Off And Control 'Kitchen Sink' is switched Off Then Set Scene 'Kitchen Dim' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Works great. Ktichen Dim Off - [iD 0008][Parent 0001] If Program 'Kitchen Dim' is True And Control 'Kitchen Sink' is switched Off Then Set Scene 'Kitchen Dim' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') This doesn't seem to do what I want (which is to shut the three lights off in the above program) I'm not sure where I went wrong Drew
  23. Maybe the best solution is putting PLAY and PAUSE 'buttons' on the screen of the Harmony and just pressing the appropriate one when I press the play or pause button. Thanks for the help. I'll keep poking around to see if I can find a solution but I won't lose sleep over it. Drew
  24. I've tried learning the play and pause codes to the ISY by pointing my Harmony at the ISY and pressing the buttons. I've also tried making the Play and Pause actual screen buttons as opposed to the hard Play and Pause. I can't get the ISY to recognize either of these. If I press the Mute button it tells me its the treble. If I press the mute again it says its volume or something like that. This lets me know the ISY is receiving if not recognizing signals. I downloaded the Philips IR codes zip files but have no clue what I could do with that. (I was really hoping for a PLAY code and drag and drop but that probably wishful at this point) Any thoughts what I'm doing wrong? Drew
  25. I think this is exactly what I'm hoping for. My next question is how do I teach the ISY to recognize those codes? Drew
