One button, two scenes?
Im sorry if I was unclear. I know nothing of the integer and variable of which you speak. The numbered list in my last post is what I'm trying to accomplish. Where can I learn about integers? Your paragraph that starts off "A bit about variables in the ISY" leaves my head spinning.

One button, two scenes?
Okay, so my head is spinning with the integer thing. (I just saw the tab now for the first time if that lets you in on my apparent ignorance with this) I'm wondering what to do as far as this goes. You are 100% correct in that 1. When I press RL-B off Scene A and Scene B shut off 2. When I press RL-B on, it triggers Scene A 3. When I press RL-B again, it knows Scene A is on and triggers Scene B 4. This would toggle back and forth Do impart knowledge. If this integer thing-a-ma-bob is what I think it is, it's going to be the new cat's *** around these parts. Drew (note: No cat's will be harmed in these proceedings)

One button, two scenes?
Thank you Xathros. RL-B is in Toggle mode so is what I have. Works fine Also, is correct as well. I'm unclear on what " " and means. But I think this is exactly what I'm looking for. Drew

One button, two scenes?
Hi Guys; I'm hoping to be able to have one button on my remotelinc trigger two scenes. I want it to go something like this. (for the sake of argument, i'll use the B button, and the B button triggers the SCENES A and If SCENE A is true, and button B is SWITCHED ON then SCENE B I would like to be able to toggle between them. so if SCENE B is true, and button B on SWITCHED ON then SCENE A and so forth. Is this possible? Drew

99i Admin Console opens software update
So I started all this to try to replace one SWL with another. Now that I'm back up and running I've discovered the new SWL, Replaced the SWl with the other as far as the ISY GUI is concerned, but I cant get it to react to the scenes. I can control it with the GUI It also has a little green icon beside it in the GUI. Drew

looks like I'm back in business. As an aside, I unplugged the power to the ISY and it still had power until I unplugged it from the PLM. The PLM powers the ISY? Drew

99i Admin Console opens software update
!@#$%^&*() I just went into the furnace room where all the gear is (I should have gone there first clearly, sorry for wasting everyone's time, and yes, the next time the car fails I'll check for gas first !@#$%^&*() Anyhow, the two network cables were unplugged (I'll get to the bottom of that with the daughter tonight) How do I hook it back up? Port A on the ISY 99i goes to the PLM and the Network goes to my router? That's how I plugged it in and I only see the power light. Still nothing on the ISY Finder. I switched the network cable joining the ISY to the router and still nothing Drew

My Airport utility is still 5.6.1 But it just seems to look for wireless devices. Let me know where to go from here. Also, don't be sorry for what Apple does. A true Apple user likes their product, not their practices. (I should print that on a t-shirt) All this started off by me wanting to switch out one SWL for another. Drew

99i Admin Console opens software update
Hi Michel; It's 10.6.8 I find that when I type 192.168.0.104 I can access the ISY but when the GUI pops up it endlessly keeps "initializing System" That's as far as I've gotten. Drew

99i Admin Console opens software update
I know it sounds crazy but it's true. When I click my "99" icon it opens my software update on my Mac. Hoe do I fix that? Drew When I go into the info.plist in the package contents it says this. Last login: Sat Feb 9 17:41:31 on console /Applications/99i\ Administrative\ Console.app/Contents/MacOS/99i\ Administrative\ Console ; exit; Andrew-Brideaus-iMac-2:~ Andrew$ /Applications/99i\ Administrative\ Console.app/Contents/MacOS/99i\ Administrative\ Console ; exit; [JavaAppLauncher] Requested [1.6+], launching in [1.6] instead. No Java Web Components present, requesting install. logout [Process completed] Clearly I need to update JAVA? Tried surfing to the console using the browser and 192.168. etc... I go the My Lighting page but it says inactive plugin where the JAVA app is. Drew

ISY 99i keeps flashing memory error
Hi Guys; I unplugged the ISY to move it to a different room and now I can't seem to stop it from flashing. The two top lights flash Memory error. I can't seem to find it in the posts here. Every different wording I use to search the forum ends up with a "No Search Criteria" or something of the sort. I apologize for the presumably simple problem. Drew

Upgrade to ISY 99i from ISY 26
Hi Guys; Just got my new ISY 99i (thank you again Michel and Rand for the over and above service, I promised I wouldn't get misty, ) I noticed it doesn't have a power supply. I believe my PLM is the 2413S but will have to check when I get home. Can I use my power supply from the ISY 26? (Just checking so I don't fry anything.) If not, what amps, voltage, centre negative or positive, should I get? Also, since I've had the ISY 26, I've only been able to update to 2.7 (ish) Does this ISY ship with the latest version or should I update when I get it? Do I set it all up and then update, or update the version first then set it up with my system? Drew

Can't find a posting
Hi oberkc; I probably wasn't clear. When I have the "MAIN" or "A" button in the scene, as I do, and I try to ADD the "D" button from the same KPL to the scene to shut off the LED of the "D" button, it THEN tells me that it is already part of the scene.
-

I can't add the button to the scene as its the D button of a KPL that is in the all off scene. If I try to add it into the scene it tells me its already part of the scene. I turn the scene off from another KPL that triggers the scene. When I say the load is off, the light that is wired to the KPL is off. It is not a controller but a responder to the scene. There's only one controller to the scene. (that's on a different KPL)

I'm not entirely clear on your response. I'm not sure what a "link record" is. The scene works fine. I just want to have the LEDs of the KPLs in the scenes shut off when I press the "ALL OFF" scene. i.e. The hall light goes off (it's the load on the KPL or the MAIN or A button) but the D button LED stays on. I'd like that to shut off too. I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say "node". And I don't believe I need to restore the KPL. And it's not a powerline quality issue. I could make a button grouping but then I can't have two scenes on the same KPL running at the same time. Drew

Can't find a posting
I know it's been covered but I can't find a posting anywhere. I have an ALL OFF scene but not all the KPL LEDs shut off even though the load is off. When I try to add the KPL D button as a responder (just an example) it says it's already a member of the scene. If someone could point me to the posting or answer this post, that would be great. Thanks, Drew

can't seem to reboot ISY
I think that has it. I just tried an existing program and it triggered. I'll try to write a few tonight sometime. Thanks for the info. Drew

can't seem to reboot ISY
I've rebooted the ISY and reset the PLM. The console boots up fine (It showed two of my addresses and wouldn't boot, I deleted one and it did fine) I was able to downgrade to 2.7.15 from 2.7.6 and the update seems good. But none of the programs will run. I tried making a new one and it wouldn't run either. Next step? Drew

can't seem to reboot ISY
No red lights are on on the ISY. (there is the yellow light so I know there's power to it) I'll try to reboot the PLM tonight when I get home from work. Are the directrions to reboot the PLM on the site? or the WIKI? (forgive me, it's been years since I've had any issue with my set up and I forget how to do most of this stuff) Drew

can't seem to reboot ISY
The ISY Finder had it in there. (192.168 etc...) I added it again and the "U" number for lack of a better term was the same as well. I still seem to not have any programs or timers. Drew
