  1. Sorry. You asked if I was using the ISY Launcher or the admin.jnlp I've clicked on both to get to the Console and I get the same result. Although my .jnlp is named icy.jnlp
  2. That is on my list for this summer as well. But the website says all sold out. And if its not the ISY but the PLM I'm screwed either way.
  3. I've tried clicking on both to get it running. Neither let me get to the SAVE part. When I hit ENTER it waits a few seconds and then says NOT FOUND.
  4. I figured as much. I’ve never known a better service experience than this forum and Michel.
  5. I logged into the Orbi with safari and found the IP. When I type it in (sometimes I leave out /desc and other times I keep it in at the end) It says Not Found I have a Mac. I can’t get anything running to do a reformat or anything you are correct
  6. Responses have been spotty. I think they are probably piled on with work. Usually they are on it fast. And its a holiday weekend (here at least) As it stands now I have no functionality with the ISY. No programs or timers work. Voice commands through Alexa don't work. I can shut off lights with the device itself. I cant find the ISY in the Launcher so I cant reformat an SD card. I don't know if its the SD card or maybe the PLM. If its the PLM I'm stuck as Insteon is no longer. I know I was told to wait for Michel to get back to me and if thats the answer I get here that's fine. I'm just hoping to get something back online. Drew
  7. I have the ticket open with Michel. We were going back and forth but we’ve stalled. Not a jab at all. I know he’s busy. I have no control over timers or anything or voice control. Hahaha how helpless I’ve become in my own home. Thank you for the help
  8. When i put in the new SD I try to Telnet and I get this -bash: telnet: command not found and the Launcher doesn't see any ISY. (regardless if I Add its IP) When I put in the old SD the Launcher finds the ISY but then crashes so I seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place... Drew If its my PLM am I screwed because Insteon is kaput? (not sure how to check if its my PLM)
  9. After some messing around I got the ISY IP address. I had the GUI open and everything seemed okay then the GUI stopped altogether. This is what I have on my ISY now. I'm going to try another SD and see if I can restore my back up (previous back up was done before all these issues) Drew
  10. Power light is on. No warning lights
  11. Actually neither have come up with an address for the ISY so now I'm twiddling thumbs. Any advice on what to do next would help greatly.
  12. I'm in my router where the IPs are but theres nothing that says ISY. All are identifiable (Echo, Apple TV, etc) except two. One has the name --- and the other is Tuya Would it be ---? By the way Telnet (using Terminal) finds nothing and tells me Command Not Correct or something like that.
  13. I've followed all the steps but now with the new SD card installed it the Launcher cant find my ISY. I've typed in the URL and it still says not found. Clearly I've missed something? Drew
  14. Michel says the SD card is corrupt so I'm going to change it. I'm reading the manual at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1665223/Universal-Devices-Isy-994i.html?page=656#manual I'm a little nervous as it says... IMPORTANT - Formatting your SD card should only be done after consulting with support!! I have an SD card and a back up and the latest version 4.9 on my desktop. The picture shows an old 99 and I'm assuming the SD card goes in the front of my 994i where it says MicroSD (I'm also assuming I unplug everything beforeI pull the old SD card out and insert the new one...) I then log on to my ISY GUI and manually upgrade. Then I restore from my backup and all should be good? If I've missed something please let me know. Drew
  15. Thank you. I'll do that right now Drew
  16. The firmware is 4.9.0 and it matches the UI While trying to do a backup I got an error message "Could Not Receive File/CONF/DISCLAIM.UDI" Not sure if that's relevant. This morning I set the time to Toronto again and when I re-opened the GUI it was LA time again. Drew
  17. Hi @oskrypuch I was just checking out your 700 series posts. I'm glad to hear the switch over is fairly painless. I fear the learning curve right now as I want to have time to sit and just focus on one thing. When you say "an enormously increased variety of devices" that's encouraging. Maybe things like garage door openers and driveway motion alerts? I realize that sounds dumb but the start of my driveway isnt close to my house so I'd love to know when someone drives in. I would also love to have a sensor detect my wife's phone or mine and open the appropriate garage door and trigger 'her' scene but now I may be wanting sci fi to happen now. ?
  18. This happened a few months back. I thought my timers weren't working but it turned out they were, but only on LA time three hours late. I knew what the issue was this time so no big deal but I'm wondering why it happened again. We might have had a power outage I didn't know about (thats what I attributed the last one to) Is there a lithium battery I should be changing? Drew
  19. I have a bunch of Apple TVs, projector, Old Plasma tv, receivers, etc. The usual A/V gear. I have it hooked with IR Receivers/blasters all plugged into two connecting blocks (one for upstairs, one for downstairs). These two blocks are plugged into the 2.5mm plugs on the back of the Harmony Hub. With the ISY and the Harmony skills in Alexa I have everything voice controlled. If the Harmony hub fails one day would the Polisy replace it? Or would the policy need the hub to control the A/V gear? I will keep an eye out. I don't have very good luck with PLMs. If it goes I'm assuming I'm screwed?
  20. Would I still need the harmony hubs when I get the Polisy? Or will everything be run internally in the new piece of gear? I realize this is a separate question but will we get notified of the newly sourced PLM?
  21. Please don't think that I'm being a jerk here. I rarely comment on opinions. In response to this you have to make money off your friends. Your enemies go elsewhere. Between Insteon and Harmony the ISY seems to be the only piece of gear in my house that isnt obsolete right now! hahaha I'm glad I run that and not an Insteon hub right now.
  22. Thank you for the fast reply Techman. I have two questions. I'm not familiar with Policy but just Googled it quickly. Since Harmony has also discontinued their lines as far as the Harmony hub goes my whole house is quickly becoming obsolete?. Would the Polisy control all my A/V gear as well as the lighting? You mentioned ZWave 500 switches. I see 700 series switches but nothing that is specifically labelled 500 series. Can I assume if they arent 700 series they are 500 series? If not is there a site I can go to find out which ones are 500 series? Drew
  23. Not wanting to sound like a noob but I've only ever had the ISY 994i and a subscription to the ISY Portal. Aside from not being able to buy Insteon devices anymore does the shutting down of the servers affect us who didn't have an Insteon Hub? I'm also wondering what devices are the best to buy now that I'll not be buying Insteon. (if this should be its own topic please let me know) Drew
  24. I have a program now that is essentially the ISY turning on a night scene. I'm looking for a light that will integrate into that scene as opposed to having to tell Alexa to turn on the scene and then turn off the stove light. I believe I can combine the two into an Alexa routine but I'm not sure I want to do that as the Night Scene works perfectly.
  25. Sorry for the delay in response. I have the ISY 994i and the ISY portal. I'm not familiar with the Node server. I'm assuming thats something extra I don't have. The bulb is a regular bulb that has a dedicated switch on and off. If I take the light out and put it back in its still on. So I'm assuming most lights would work? I'm just looking for one that I can integrate with my insteon/ Alexa voice commands
