    ISY Clock

I have mine set to sync with the NTP server every 24 hours. When I do a sync now it corrects the time...I'll have to wait and see if it goes back to the incorrect time.

    ISY Clock

When I sync the ISY clock to my computer clock it goes to the correct time. Then at some point it resets itself to the old time before the time change. It throws everything off while I'm at work then I have to come home and resync it again.

    ISY Clock

Ever since the time change my clock goes to the wrong time...it's always an hour off. I resync it when I come home from work then the next day I notice it is back to 1 hour later. I have the daylight savings time checked. Should I unchecked it or leave it checked? Any other ideas on what could be causing this?
  4. When was this fixed...which update? Thanks!
  5. I have the weather and irrigation modules but the closest weather station is over 10 miles from my house. It doesn't seem like that would be very accurate for rain, wind, etc. With that in mind I don't use the evapotransiration with my EZRain sprinkler kit. Do you think a weather station a little over 10 miles away is accurate enough or would it be best to use other methods to control the sprinklers, ie. rain sensors/moisture sensors? Thanks for your help!
  6. Lol I remembered this right after I posted the question. I'm learning, just a little slow. Thanks for your help!
  7. Got ya! Thanks! Works perfectly now!
  8. This program worked great for a couple weeks. Now it turns the back lights on accurately but doesn't turn them off after 5 minutes. If Elk Zone 'Back Door' is Violated And From Sunset To Sunrise (next day) Then Set Scene 'Back Lights' Fast On Wait 5 minutes Set Scene 'Back Lights' Fast Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I can manually turn the scene on and off easily so I don't think it's a communication issue. Any ideas? Thanks!
  9. Is it possible with the Elk Module to have a program do something when a certain user presses something on the elk or enters their code? For the if statement under Elk I don't see User...so I don't think I can do things based on who is home and who is not. Is this correct?
  10. I'm not home to look but I thought checking the arm and disarm box just gives her permission to arm and disarm. I don't think it forces her to use a code to arm. If I could force her to use a code to arm, I think I could just use the ISY to adjust the thermostat when she (user #5) arms or disarms the system. Right? How do I force the elk to only arm for her when she enters her code?
  11. I would prefer to make her use her code to arm the system. Not sure how to do that on the Elk. Then maybe I could adjust the stat when she arms and dissarms the Elk. Anyone know how this is done?
  12. She does not come at a consistent time. This is why I'm trying to use the Elk to control the thermostat. Is there a way to make her (User $5) enter her code to arm? If so maybe that could trigger the thermostat to go back into energy saving mode.
  13. Hello, my cleaning lady has her own Elk M1G code to enter to turn the alarm off. So I would like to adjust the thermostat to comfortable conditions when she arrives. I think this would be easy with the Elk module but how do I get it to adjust back into money saving mode when she leaves? She doesn't have to enter a code to rearm the system when she leaves. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!
  14. Ok I have the Elk M1G, an Insteon motion detector in the garage, and the garage Insteon relay kit. -I would like to turn the garage lights on for 10 minutes when either the garage is opened, or when the door to my house from the garage is open (may use the motion detector and/or the door sensor on the entry door). How would a program to do this look? -I also want the ISY to send me a text when the garage motion is detected and when the M1G is armed away or stay. The problem here is when we leave we arm the M1G then walk out to the garage and get int he car and leave. I don't want a notification then. I only want it later after we leave. I also don't want the notification when we arrive, open the garage door and pull in the driveway. How would I program this? Thanks guys!
  15. Is there any way to get the temperature from the wired sensor back to the ISY? The reason I bought the 2441ZTH was to get daily notifications of my pond water temperature. I could send a notification to my phone via a text but only if the wired sensor temperature is sent back to the ISY. So how can I do this? Thanks in advance!

    2441ZTH Issue

Ok...it's working now. One more question. I have the sensor in water. How can I get the ISY to send me an e-mail with the water temp at 7AM everyday? I know how to set up notifications but I don't see how to add the sensor temp in the notification. Thanks!

    2441ZTH Issue

How do I link the 2441ZTH Wireless Thermostat such that I get the current state on my Admin Console? I have linked twice....one had everything except the current temp displaying in the admin console. The other time I linked it, the current state for everything was blank. How do I link the 2441ZTH so I get all the info showing on the Admin Console? Thanks!
  18. I'm not talking about direct wired. I mean if the garage door opens while I'm sleeping and the alarm is on the ISY will recognize the garage door being open and tell the Elk M1G to alarm.
  19. Is it possible to use the Insteon Garage Door Kit as an alarm zone for the Elk M1 Gold? http://www.smarthome.com/74551/I-O-Linc-INSTEON-Garage-Door-Control-Status-Kit/p.aspx Thanks!

    Fanlinc Options

My normal ceiling fan remote can change the fan direction and I like that capability so I guess stick with that

    Weather

What are the minimum features needed from a station for the climate and irrigation modules? ie. daily rain amount, rain rate, light, light rate, wind, temp, humidity, etc? This will help me identify the cheapest one that will work for my intentions (irrigation) Thanks!

    Fanlinc Options

Can the fanlinc be controlled via the Venstar Thermostat 2491T1E? I would like to put one in my bedroom and control it via the Venstar stat or maybe the Insteon wireless thermostat 2441ZTH. Will it work with both of those? I'd like it to change speeds at different temperatures. Also can the fanlinc reverse the fan direction based on temp...ie if it get cold reverse direction and change to low speed? The smarthome description didn't say anything about being about to change fan direction. Thanks!

    Weather

The closest weather station in my climate module is over 10 miles away. The info from it isn't accurate for my house. How could I set up a station at my house? What would I need to do this? Thanks!
  24. Thanks for the reply! I have installed task killer. When I enter my username and password then kill the browser by closing it or using task manager to kill it then restart the browser and go back to the ISY page it still remembers the username and password. I still have "remember passwords" in settings unchecked.
  25. Thanks for the reply! While in the browser I pushed menu, then settings, then privacy and security, then pressed clear passwords. I also made sure the box "remember passwords" was unchecked. I then went back to the ISY page in the browser and it didn't ask for the password. So I went back into settings and did the same thing as above then restarted the phone. Once rebooted I went to the browser and the ISY page. It then asked for my username and password. There was no box on that screen to check asking me if I wanted it to remember my password but I do have that box unchecked in the settings menu. So I entered my username and password and it went to the ISY page. I then went to another website and back to the ISY page and it remembered my password and didn't ask for one. So my issue still isn't solved. Not sure what else to do. ANy ideas?
