I have a temp sensor on the output of my furnace. When water temp goes below 120 I get text notification. This is all great but I don't want to get that deep yet. All I want to do is program the thermostat internals without having to stand in front of it for 10 minutes pressing a button 100 times to get through it all.

So I do not want to stand in front of each thermostat pressing 100 buttons to walk through programming the days and times. How can I do it from the computer and make the setting stick in the thermostat? John

The one stating I can only do day/time programming from the thermostat. I have a Honeywell in a rental property and it beats the insteon in all aspects. It if doesn't integrate with my isy, oh well, the honeywell app is great.

Looks like I should just get a Honeywell. I heard there were coming out with an insteon compatible model.

Yes it is added. I can write a program using the thermostat. What I want to do is program the time/temp features built in the thermostat. Where is that done from?

I have Insteon with PLM and just got insteon thermostat. How can I program the thermostat from a computer vice directly on the thermostat. I tried houselinc, but it won't work with PLM/Isy. Thanks, John

Odd, I did have to wet the sensor and dry it to 'get it working'. After that the heartbeat showed up within 24 hours.

Ok, I see this program and another by rabbit1543 (based on this version) 1. Which is the better option? 2. Is there a post with the programs that has all fixes inserted so I don't have to sort it all out? Thanks, John

So I went on travel a couple weeks, still no 'current state' for wet dry or heartbeat (all blank). What am I doing wrong? Took battery out, removed from ISY network and started over.

Seems to have done the trick. I guess heartbeat takes up to 24 hours to show something..... Regards, John

I just bought some Water Sensors and the instructions are weak (almost non existent). I Linked new Insteon device and it shows up Dry Wet and Heartbeat with a water icon, but no status for them What do I need to do? Thanks, John

FPS, Thanks. I figured that was the case. What I was thinking was have the HouseLinc installed but not in use. Then if PLM on ISY fails while I am on travel, shutdown ISY and activate HouseLinc until I could repair PLM. Regards, John

FPS, So I can have 2 PLM's, one to ISY and one to computer and they can control the same devices? I guess that would get tricky writing programs. BTW, my ToggleLinc was also bad. Not sure about the Phase Coupler yet. Assuming the generator took them out. Thanks, John

FPS, I started the program, says no computer interface found. So I select manual to pick a PLM. I select 2413S and it says not found. Is it expecting the PLM to be connected to the computer? If so, how would I use the ISY? There is a drop down to select com port, but only com 8 is listed. Thanks, John

Thanks FPS, swapped and working. I wish there were failure LED or notifications on all devices to make troubleshooting easier. On the 2413S PLM I have V1.B. One is 1322 other is 1325. Are there newer models? I see a 2413SH (HouseLinc) I can replace the Caps on the failed one and swap out again to see if it fixes it. Can I use the 2413S PLM to run houselinc and keep the ISY? So it turns out my PLM must be bad. I have a spare. Point me to instructions on how to swap out. Thanks, John

Stusviews, That is my point there is no set button or LED on the SignaLinc. Also why would you have two SignaLinc's? Do you mean SwitchLinc's? Also, they would have to be on different phases for this test to work? How to verify that before you start? Regards, John

UPDATE problem was PLM 3/14/17 How do you know if your SignaLinc phase coupler is bad? It has no lights/indicator and doesn't show up in ISY. I have one device (ToggleLinc) that keep dropping out. If I move the ToggleLinc to another location it picks up. Reinstall in original location and it works a week or so and quits. I cannot believe it is the only device on the 'other' phase and the dual band isn't working. I also tried replacing the ToggleLinc, same results. ToggleLinc is only about 35 feet (and up one level) from the PLM. Thanks, John
