I did press and hold the master button until it beeped and "master" appeared on the screen. however, I have no wireless units attached to it. I guess we will see what happens.

    Thermostat

Hi Michel, It is Insteon and I DO get a change in Admin (set point number) after changing the set point manually. More times than not, the set point number updates but the temperature doesn't.

How often should the ISY get updated on the temperature and set status of the thermostat? I have looked often and noticed the ISY doesn't match what the tstat says. I have created a program with the fanlinc - the wrong information is not triggering the fan when it should.
  9. I would create a scene of just your garage exterior lights. Use that in your "then" statement
  10. Thanks Stu - But how does the < sign get in there? I dont see it under status. Disregard - I figured it out.
  11. Hello I cant find what I am looking for in previous questions/answers. I have jumped into the fanlinc and thermostat world. I am trying to find some examples of programs that bring the fan on when in a temperature range and back off when outside that range. Anyone been successful with this? Thanks!

    Garage door

Problem Solved! I have the IO Linc wires soldered to portable opener circuit board switch. One of the wires came loose from solder. It was still really close and I am assuming that it was touching when the garage door started to go up but when the vibration started on the opener, the wire moved away from the solder joint. Anyway - re-soldered and all is well!

    Garage door

Thanks Larry - Only thing is when I manually go in the admin and change the variable from a 1 to a 0 and back to 1, it works fine. Someone just please verify Momentary B is correct and about a 2 sec hold time?

    Garage door

So here is a dumb question. I set this up awhile ago with Mobilinc. My Init state variable says "2" and value is "1". Is the "2" correct?

I will check into Mobilinc being the issue then. It has worked flawlessly everyday for a year - Thanks

    Scene Falures

Update - The PLM finally did fail. I got another one and all of the above issues disappeared. So I guess if a PLM is in the process of failing, there are some subtle signs.

    Garage door

I have new thing happening lately. When my mobilinc is inside the geo-fence, it sends the signal to open the door. The door opens about 2 inches and stops. Anyone seen this before?

    Fanlinc

So I am having trouble with my Fanlinc. I had it setup with a KPL. It was working fine then all of a sudden it would only go to medium. I deleted from the ISY, rediscovered it, I factory reset (before rediscovery). I have taken the KPL out of the equasion by removing all of the button scenes. So controlling through the ISY dashboard only - again only medium turns the fan on. Any other speed does not work. Anyone seen this or have any suggestions?
  19. Maybe I will go try it again - I did play with timing in the ISY but I am not sure I paid attention to the wiring. I will let you know - thanks! BTW - I meant the slots in GDO - not the IOLinc, I know THAT matters.
  20. I am glad you said wiring - I cant remember on my old GDO. Did it matter which wire from the IOlinc went into which slot (it is a slot on my new one but was just a screw on the old board)?
  21. Ahh yes - I did try that first. The IOlinc clicked when I activated it but nothing else happened.
  22. Do you mean combine the IO wires with the wall mount wires into slots?
  23. So I have opened up the remote. Do the 2 wires from the IOlinc get soldered to that pushbutton connections on the board?
  24. So in your experience, is the remote battery an issue?
  25. Larry - This is just a change of openers. The sensing works fine (green light on when open/off when closed). I push the button on the IO Link and it clicks but no door movement. I try to operate it through the ISY and it doesn't move. But it sounds like - from Stu - that the contacts used for the Multifunction Switch cant be used like the older models.
