new to eisy 2r need help to migrate from isy 994 It a simple Isy 994 with the same PLM lasted version PLM I only have Insteon devices. I need to know how to migrate in simple term. I don't want to do programing over again. Can anyone help. I don't need to know right know about anything else since I don't have other device yet

Here a new one the new Alexa app stinks, when I ask it for scenes. It doesn’t find them, any new ones. Now for shits and giggles. I used the ipy portal and looked under connectivity google. And this is what I found. There are scenes in there. This what the Alexa app is pulling from. Now I’m really confused

I dont have hundreds of insteon device but enoght. I think its time to switch. Can anyone tell me how difficult it is. If there is a link here plese provide it. Thank you much. I been amember for years, but I had to make a new account here ., It been awhile Thank you again

I have an isy at the moment, I did it once before but forgot how I did it. Like I said I want the button to light up when the the light that is assignd to the button turns on and stay on til the light is out. This is when I tell Alex to turn it on. I dont want to use Alexa to light that button I want it all to be in the IsY Ps I got it to work ooce, but then when I tell alexa to turn it on again it dosent work

Hello gents, it’s been a while and I forgot how to do this and I’m driving myself crazy. When I have a scene on, let’s say scene called cabinet. On the eight button are you see to turn on the cabinet. No problem but when I want the scene that turns on cabinet to be on I want the LEDC to stay lit. In other words if I tell Alexa to turn on the cabinet light, I want the LED to light up also without push pushing the button. Anybody have an idea how I did it in the past sure would like to know.

I have recently tried to use Alexa to turn off something or turn something on. Today it says it cannot connect to the hub. This just started. I can connect to my ISY via my network. But I cannot connect to the portal. It keeps saying ISY off-line. My license is active I checked. Anybody have any ideas?

I dont want to bother all of you. I just bought a car with google assistant and google operation system Is there a way to get it to talk to my issy? my house is still insteon and alexa. that ll works well THANK YOU

I found that The one Scene Doesnt work for what I want. So I have 4 Scenes high med low off. Now how do I get the A ,B,C,D, LED to light with each scene. I tried a program staus of fan motor to run a LED scene but nothing works. IDEAS ????

update. I have every button doing what it should. Only problem is I dont remember how I made tnhe button light out for each scene ex.. button A when fan on high ect

I Have a 6 button key pad and a Fan Linc. I accidently deleted it and now playing hell to get it to work again. It still works via Alexia. 1st Question. WHY is button A and B defualt on. ????

I deleted my fanlinc by accident. I cant get it to work. Seem ever thing I do it revert all scense to high. Alexia still works great. But all my button do nothing but put in on high and then you cant turn it off. I need someone to show me the basic scene, I will worry about sinking the botton with alex later. HELP befor i go CRAZY

question for anyone. I have installed fan lic and alexa on one fan. This problem I have with the second fan called Bedroom fan is. I have to turn the remote control for the fan on before I can do anything. I have to do this every time I want to use the keypad or alexia. My othe fan witch had a remote alway work either way. Any ideas

I have an isy 994 I have had it for 10 year are so. Im worryed that isteon will stomew making devices. At that point what will I do Or what can I do now? Im not even sure what Polisy is. Im not a engineer. I have a vast knowdgle of automation been in the feild 40 some years profesional. Any advice. ?

Today I got my answer from A very good tech at Amazon she to saw the same thing I was looking at. At some point a skill that was used or older version of the optimize skill was disabled. This older version was not removed completely. They are working on correcting this. If you have an ISY do not use the Alex app to add any devices or scene. Only is the portal to add you already devices and scene. The Alexa app will show you all your devices and you can use it to turn them on. Do not create groups in the Alexa app. You will stand the chance of getting duplicates. This is for ISY users. Im not sure about Intranet hub users. So if you are being told by Alexa that you need to rename devices because you have more then one with the same name. GO to the Alexa app and you will see your doubles. I hope this help not so easy to explain in writing for me.

What is the best way to start the admin control. Chrome and others will not support have no matter what anyone says.

I had the same thing. I had to power down everything router Alexa all. Then I had to remove most of the scene only in the portal. Then put them back in again. It worked for two days and now it’s telling me I have Several with the same name again. Don’t bother calling Amazon. The have no idea what an isy is or the Portal. They think everyone uses their app to control everything.

I’m not sure this hasn’t been addressed. If you use Alexa to turn a device on or off or a scene on and off. How does one make a sign button that activates that scene or that device light up when it’s on and turn off when it’s off. I’m sure there’s several ways of doing it I’m sure there’s a way of doing it within the Alexa app but not sure. I’m aware that there’s a way of doing it in the programming of the I SY but again I’m not sure. I like to hear others ideas of how they made this work.

you should not have to go to the alexia app and do anything the scenes are on you isy994. You do it all threw the isy portal

I even tried removing a scene and reinstalling the scene. Now Alexa say I have two scene with the same name. Anyone have a idea not a guess?? Alexa will control and signal device no problem

For the last two days Alexa would not control any scenes. The isy will but not Alexa. Alexa will control a device but not a scene. Nothing has change I have not changed a thing in a year. Any ideas.

Disable your Alexa skill. Now try the same thing by the other means which you activate your device whether it be your computer or an app and see if the same thing happens
