  1. This isn't my experience either. As a matter of fact, I just placed an order last week without any problems
  2. I doubt they're looking at a timeline to be able to give you one at this point since it's barely 6 months ago

I misunderstood you earlier in regards to being able to use it with the ISY as well if they were to update everything for that as well.

Why would they do that for the isy? A system they have repeatedly shown through their words and actions is dead and gone? Besides, your own words even lessens the chance of that nodeserver or not. The fact that they would be writing code within the firmware itself rather than simply updating a few repositories and calling it a day makes that more likely. With that said, Michel has made plenty of similar statements about being inside the eisy while referring to noderservers. It's unfortunate for isy users but reality is- it's dead.

Michel has mentioned many times that they're moving to a nodeserver set-up for everything. Besides that, why update something they have no plans of supporting
  6. You shouldn't have to rebuild your system from scratch. If that was the case, you'd see alot more noise about folks having to go through that in addition to everyone else helping you saying that's what needs to be done. Not sure on your end why things aren't working properly but when you swap plms properly, you should only have to do a file> restore modem>restore devices. If both of those steps still doesn't work, you could try to write updates to each individual device. Before proceeding, I'd unplug your eisy and factory reset the plm. Once done and the plm is powered up, plug in the eisy. Once rebooted go to file> restore plm> restore devices. Whatever you do, do not delete plm. When you do a restore modem, the old plm links are overridden
  7. Did you also do restore devices

    HomeKit support

I doubt it since it would be a pg3/pg3x nodeserver. Besides that, UDI has stated no more updates regarding isy

The installed base is a good measurement of your market as it shows the type of people that are looking to use your system so this may be a gut feeling based on your desires vs what the avg person really wants. The fact that you are literally the only one pushing shows that there is a lack of interest. I install automation systems in homes for a living and have yet to see a single person recoup those costs in any given sale. What I have seen is their homes get chosen over similar homes without any smarts....Since covid, none of this has really mattered. At least in the areas that I frequent, if it can be called a house, it sells within days on the market...if it makes it that far. I did once a long time ago but went with Command fusion instead due to it being a much more capable and professional looking system. I know you're really into RR and that's great but there is a reason why its a fraction of the cost. Your statement reminds me of people saying how certain low end cars look like something more expensive....until they see the true luxury version (ie: Chrysler 300 when it first came out vs Rolls Royce). Reality is, the people paying for high end systems are doing so because they do not want to deal with building their own app and managing their system. They just want it to work. I just had a client pay me to install Amazon echo's and firecubes in his guest bedroooms because he didn't want to deal with it himself. Ditto for the masses. There's a reason why people choose homekit (by extension, every other system like it) in the first place....Everything is there laid out for them. They don't have to invest time in buying an app that they now have to design and build upon. That stuff is for the world of tinkerers.

Were do you have the numbers to back up your 20-30%? 20 to 30% of the users on this forum aren't even concerned about using Homekit so they would be going after non-techie folks who aren't about to invest in the time and effort it takes to learn and program one of these systems. DIY smarthomes do not add a premium to the sale of a home. You may have a buyer who wants the technology be more inclined to purchase yours over someone elses but you will not get a return on your investment. There are items that does increase the value of a home but I wouldnt call it a premium.
  12. See post on this subforum right before yours
  13. There are multitudes of recent and ongoing posts on here about schlage so I'm not going to get into that one. On each channel sub forum (zwave and eisy), there are stickied posts that answer your questions. 1 is zwave tips and tricks and the other is curated answers for eisy which is right above your post. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/34826-zwave-700-series-tips-and-tricks/
  14. Why is it now an issue when you said you've always used it without?
  15. Not possible. You'll have to set a reservation in your router
  16. Are you actually reading what is written by people or just making things up as you go? Where was it stated anywhere that it's impossible for 3rd party apps to support PG3 nodes? 2 developers chimed in on here and specifically stated: Pretty much no third party product that integrates with UDI has ever supported node server nodes. I've written one such product (HomeSeer ISY plug-in) and I don't support node server nodes in that either. While it is possible to do so, it is a lot of work because node server nodes can't really be handled in a common, generic way like Insteon or Z-wave As well as: Node servers have been available for years (4, 5, more?). There were discussions with third party developers and as @Javi said, it is possible to support them. Most developers of third party integrations chose not to. In addition to: Supporting PG3 Node Servers and/or ZMatter Nodes will require them to make changes. I believe their integration is of our firmware version 4.x versions, 5.x added new device types. There is not much we can do if they do not upgrade their integration.

Its a nice lock. I installed one for a friend of mine. Works with their app without issues.
  18. UD is the company that makes the isy not a replacement. They have zero control over what apps they work with since they don't own any of those companies. UDI has some control over working with homekit but Apple could make things easier by lowering the cost of implementing homekit. Outside of that though, none of what you say is within Udi's control
  19. How can revenue double or triple when you're literally the only one arguing for RR? Outside of a couple of "Me too" folks co-signing on a couple of your posts and disappearing right afterwards; you have literally been the only one pushing for RR the last few years. It's not like UDI is unwilling to work with roomie. They have zero control over what roomie decides to do or in this case not do. This is a conversation you must have with roomie. The hard truth is that UDI customers generally aren't the same as roomie customers. We prefer automation not control.
  20. Just a much prettier interface. It's similar to command fusion that you can design your own control interface (just not as good)
  21. I think it comes down to a person's preference. Homekit still hasn't made a dent in this space regardless of how much apple fans want to make it seem special. UDI has an all in one app for us system just like everyone else. Roomie may be great but most aren't interested in the time and effort out takes to design and maintain it. It's great for a very small segment just like udi is. The true all in one systems are Google and Alexa right now. Those who are happy with that are not UDI customers nor are they roomies... The future will be the present. What you see now is what you'll get later. The tech will change but you'll see niche products such as UDI and roomie products in addition to products designed for the masses. Let's not forget dealer options for those with the financial means
  22. I don't see UDI being silent. They've responded to multiple posts of yours over the years about the lack of RR updates. It's not impossible for a developer to support noderservers. It's whether they choose to or not. Bpwwer stated his reasons as an independent developer and his reasons could very well be Roomies...though the fact that RR is still using 4.xxx for their system tells me they simply don't have any interest in updates period (not did their response say anything about noderservers). Judging by you being the only one on here talking about roomie over the years, I think it's a case where there simply not enough user interest to make it a worthy investment
  23. See Javi's answer above. If roomie (or anyone else for that matter) isn't interested in updating their system to work with the latest from udi then there's nothing anyone can do. Per your response earlier, roomie knows there's a new version so if they wanted to, they could contact UDI. The fact they're still using 4.xxx firmware only proves they have no interest
