Frankly, I am not certain I am using the correct user account and password. Michel set these accounts up for me. Are these the same as those for the Amazon account for that portal? I will check as to whether or not the preferred ISY is selected but since the site can be accessed from the portal and the Mac without problem would seem to rule out that as an issue.

Asbril: I tried deleting the local port with all else done also. It keeps taking me to my first portal account. I probably should have shared that detail. Somehow I must get MobiLinc to connect to the second portal account

I am trying to change MobiLinc Setup to access by the ISY Portal. I found the following instructions on this forum and installed them as follows: Open Mobilinc Select Settings Select Lighting Controller Change settings as instructed: Host Type = ISY User Name = Portal Username (email address) Password = Portal Login Password Local http://= blank Local Port = 80 Secure https:// = my.isy.io Secure Port = 443 Connection Method = Secure Connection Although the ISY portal works on my Mac it does not work on my iPhone using the foregoing steps. Am I missing something?

I have only been using Alexa for a couple of months but there is no option to turn on or off a "Brief Mode" in Alexa on my iPhone.

I finally found the sign out. Thanks.

Pay no attention to the above I think I am making progress. Amazon sure doesn't make this simple!

Stu: I am using the Safari browser and the iPhone app. When I go to Amazon.com and click on Accounts & List then on Your Account I get a page to track orders, login & security, prime, your addresses (mailing addresses), payment options and gift cards. Neither on the prior page nor the one I am referring to is a Switch Accounts option. If I go into the app, the bottom left panel is Help & Feedback there is no option to select a login such as the one you refer to.

I am preparing to set up a second ISY with Echo's. My ISY Portal has two accounts. Account A is is using an Amazon Prime account. I set up a second Amazon account for the second ISY (non prime). Now, when I log into Amazon it defaults to the second account. I have searched and searched, but I cannot find how I can switch between the two accounts with my browser. Any help will be appreciated.

I am certain I will create addition opportunities to have fun in the future!

Stu, I apologize for the inconvenience. I had simply forgotten the proper procedure. Your reply gave me the clue I needed and I was successful. I have now written a procedural note to avoid this in the future. Thanks.

I remain a newbee in terms of suing the ISY Portal and Echo. I have numerous devices, scenes, etc. being controlled successfully using Alexa. However, I recently added an ApplianceLinc 2456S3 to control a lamp. I have it successfully included in the ISY, but I cannot get it into the Portal. I have told Alexa to discover new devices and get the reply there are no new devices. I have disabled the device in the ISY and enabled it. Still can't discover it. Am I having a senior moment and overlooking something?

After numerous trouble-shooting efforts, I unplugged and my Echo's and then repowered them. Problem resolved. It wasn't a portal issue. Thanks for your quick reply, Benoit.

I have lost use of all spokens. An attempt to have Alexa discover devices has failed.

Thanks, Stu. As always, most helpful, but I am still uncertain of next steps. For the purpose of simplification of my request, I offer the following: I have two ISYs located at different homes which, for the purpose of illustration I will refer to as A and B. I have an ISY portal set up for each home. Portal A has 5 Echo’s and is setup complete with spokens and works fine. Portal B will soon be set up up and receiving one Echo. I have read and read about setting up this second portal, and this is what I think I need to do: 1. Create a new Amazon account (non prime). 2. Include the Echo at B in the portal for B. 3. Set up spokens in Portal B. Will I end up with two apps on my iPhone using this approach? I would prefer to avoid that. It appears to me that using this approach spokens at B should be completely segregated from those at A. Am I correct? Any help will be appreciated.

I have ISYs at two separate locations, each using a different ISP. The primary location is in the ISY Portal and is successfully working with the app to control 5 Echo’s. The secondary location is also in the Portal, and I can successfully access the secondary ISY and control devices at that location. I have not yet added any Echo’s at that location, but will do so in a couple months when I am on scene. I have read the wiki, but I am at a loss as to how to add Echo’s at that site and have them only control devices at that location. My guess is that I must set up a separate Amazon account for that location. Is that correct? Will that require a second app??? Some help/guidance will be much appreciated.

Problem solved. More importantly, I have learned something that will be valuable going forward. Thanks, guys.

Sorry, I missed what you said above, Stu. I will delete from the App and Re-discover using Alexa.
-
After the devices are forgotten in the app (I have the app), I assume that all that is then needed is to tell Alexa to discover new devices. Correct?
-
Stu, how do I get the app to "forget all"?

I have a ToggleLinc that is used to turn on a bedroom light. The spoken "Turn On/Off Donnie's Bedroom Light" works without fail. When I change the spoken in the portal to "Turn On/Off Donnie's Bedroom" and tell Alexa to discover new devices I am told that two were discovered and that the new spoken "Donnie's Bedroom Light" cannot be found. If I then use the spoken "Turn on Donnie's Bedroom Light" that spoken is executed. It is as if there were a "phantom" device with the deleted spoken somehow remaining in the Echo. I have checked to see if the device ID is used elsewhere in the portal or a duplicate record is to be seen. When I select Smarthome in the App I see 5 icons labeled "Dad's Bedroom Light" (a name for that device which was subsequently changed) and 5 labeled "Donnie's Bedroom Light". My guess is this is where my problem stems from. What do I need to do to ensure that only the most up-to-date devices and spokens are in the Echo database? Would I need to somehow delete the data in the App and repopulate it from the portal? Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks all.

Unfortunately, no, not at the vacation home. I just saw, however, that the Pro module is $30. I think I will purchase it. Some of my 10 battery devices are located about 90 feet from the house and one is in a detached cellar. I have arthritic knees. So, I am going to purchase the module if, for no other reason than this, it will be worth it. Are there any pitfalls associated with download and installation of the module that you are aware of? I will be doing everything remotely and will not be at the site for 2 months. Should I perhaps wait until I am there?

Nothing at this time. I am preplanningreplacing a failing PLM at a vacation home. I won't be on scene for 2 months. It is precisely why I remain upset with the atrocious quality of this vital piece of equipment.

I am curious why disabling battery devices could not be used instead of unlinking. Sure would be a lot easier.
