Cannot connect to java GUI after upgrade to 5.5.9
Glad it worked.

Getting Updates Available after last nights PG3x 3.1.24 update.
No, the notice of update available was not fixed in v5.5.9. However, since that version came out, the root cause was identified and UD stated it has already been corrected on their end. We just need to wait for the firmware update to be ready to be pushed out.

Could UDI improve Launcher installation?
Are you on Mac or Windows? I'm using Windows and don't have this issue.

RCS Z-Wave Thermostat parameters
Have you checked out Xray? There is a lot of information in there, although I don't know if what you are looking for is there.

ISY without Java?
You are not giving us any information to try to help you. You are not describing your setup and issue. I don't have an issue getting the Launcher to work. Have you tried the troubleshooting steps here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#ISY_Finder_does_not_find_ISY and https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Installing_the_Admin_Console_Icon_on_Your_Desktop

Cannot connect to java GUI after upgrade to 5.5.9
First, if you are using eisy, you should be on v5.5.9, therefor you need to update. From the admin console go to Configuration and press the update packages button. You are several packages behind so wait 20 - 30 minutes. Then clear your Java cache and download a new start.jnlp. Clirck on the downloaded file and it will install the IoX Launcher on your desktop. You will probably need to reboot after you get back in to the admin console. You can do that from Configuration tab also. If you still have an issue after the upgrade, try the troubleshooting steps here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Troubleshooting_Help

how to correctly replace z-wave device?
He is trying not to do that, as I stated above, it might not work but he can try it. The Zwave - Synchronize - New & Deleted with Interview is done without issuing an exclude.
-
how to correctly replace z-wave device?
I don't think that can be done with ZWave. Others have suggested trying Update with Interview, you can try that, I am not sure it will work because of the factory reset. You can also try utilizing the top level menu: Zwave - Synchronize - New & Deleted with Interview.
-
how to correctly replace z-wave device?
Since the device was factory reset, you need to exclude or remove in the admin console and then add device in admin console. You will need to put the device in linking mode during both procedures. Also, if device is battery operated, you must keep it awake during both procedures.

Insteon devices not working
eisy only works with a USB PLM, or a serial PLM with a USB conversion wire. In either case, you can not plug the PLM in to an ethernet port on eisy. If you need a conversion cable, UD has them in the store. Also, running eisy on wifi has been known to cause some difficulties with certain things.

That will be hard for us to tell you without you listing the steps you used. Did you follow the directions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migration

Wanting to move forward from iSY994 to iSY on Polisy (IOP)
At this point I would revert to @Geddy's suggestion and open a support ticket.

Could also be noise on the line, you might need to install some filters. One step at a time......

Wanting to move forward from iSY994 to iSY on Polisy (IOP)
You will want to follow the directions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migration You will not be able to migrate your ZWave to ZMatter if that is the way you are going to go. Read through the instructions several times, it covers all of the options for different devices.

ssh in to Polisy Force an update by typing: sudo pkg install -r udi pkg Observe progress in log by typing: sudo tail -f /var/udx/logs/log Ctrl+C ends/closes log When the update is completely finished (note: your update will probably take a very long time because you are way behind), then type the following to reboot: sudo shutdown -r now After Polisy starts back up, you will need to clear your Java cache (check all 3 boxes to delete all), and download a new start.jnlp from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp After downloading a new start.jnlp, click on it to run and it will add a the new IoX Launcher to your desktop. Note: If you can access the admin console afterwards, make sure you are on v5.5.9, if not use the Upgrade Packages button under the Configuration tab. This is how all future upgrades should be done. Also, your login credentials may revert back to admin/admin (or not, you will have to try). If you receive a message that indicates you need to upgrade packages, and you are on v5.5.9, don't worry about it, it is a known bug that will be corrected in the next firmware upgrade. Next, see if you can access PG3 by going to https://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:3000 You will be asked for your credentials to the portal, followed by your PG3 credentials which now should be same as your Polisy login. You will need to a portal login in to access PG3. If you haven't you will need to add it to your portal account. You can check the wiki for more info if needed.

That could be a sign of incompatibility between the switch and the LED bulb. Some LED bulbs work better than others. Check your switches to see if they are compatible with LED bulbs.

How many ZWave devices are you running? You will not be able to migrate ZWave, so you will need to install your ZWave devices as new. You will also need a ZWave dongle for your Polisy. If you want to migrate all of the way to current latest & greatest, you will need a ZMatter dongle for Polisy from UD. From here: https://www.universal-devices.com/product/zmatter-z-wave-matter-module-for-polisy-beta/ This board can be inserted inside your Polisy, or you can add an enclosure and connect it via USB port to Polisy. Also, since you have Insteon, does your Polisy have a PLM? If you want to migrate your PLM from ISY to Polisy and you are currently using a serial PLM, you will need UD's serial cord kit from here: https://www.universal-devices.com/product/serial-plm-kit/ Once you are updated, we can get you on PG3 and then you can will have access to all of the available node servers. Here is a list of node servers: https://polyglot.universal-devices.com/

Well, while you are behind in updates, the good news is you don't appear to be so far behind that you can not upgrade yourself. According to the wiki, you need to be on at OS version 13 & it looks like you are. As @Geddyindicated above, you can open a support ticket for expert assistance. If you want to try to update yourself before opening the support ticket, let me know and I will tell you how to open a log screen to monitor the process.

Eisy crashes frequently
Try logging in to PG3 by using your browser. Enter the following IP address: https://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:3000 Replace the "x's" with your eisy IP address. You should receive the login box for the portal. After logging in with your portal credentials, you should then be able to log in to PG3 using your eisy credentials. In the IoX Launcher you can add an IP address by clicking on "Add". Have you tried that and are you entering: https://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:8443/desc Replace the "x's" with your eisy IP address. If you still can not get in using "https", then go in using http & port 8080. Go to Configuration tab and check under Network Settings and insure DHCP is checked should be greyed out, but checked) and then check the port for "https". Edit: If you still can not get in via "https", are you running any antivirus protection (try turning it off briefly) or possibly a firewall rule blocking it?

I am not clear on all of what you are saying, so I would suggest baby steps starting at the beginning. If you can use ssh to get into your Polisy (login is admin/admin), run the following and post the output: sudo uname -a

All time Rain data and NC historical Rain data
You all ready have this information available to you in the Tempest app. If it is that important to you to have it in your automation (I agree with Bob, don't see the value of this in an automation system), then create a variable and add the total once a year. Then you can sum it year after year and display any way you would like.

Eisy crashes frequently
You have too much going on right now. I would suggest to start with shutting down, removing power, and after waiting about 15 minutes try the admin console & PG3x again. For now, ignore the notice to upgrade packages, if you are on v5.5.9, you are on the latest. It is a known bug that will be fixed in the next firmware release. If after doing this, the admin console is at a steady state, list your remaining problems and we can try to help.
