  1. Once the ZWave dongle is backed up from the ZWave menu, everything else is done from the Admin Console | File | Restore ISY menu. The ZWave back up, once completed, becomes part of the ISY back up. Just to clearify, you are already using ZMatter on your Polisy - correct? The procedure is different if you need to migrate from ZWave to ZMatter ZWave. Here are the directions from the WIKI to get eisy up and running: Migrating On the Eisy / Polisy you are migrating to Do the appropriate preparation step (see above) Make sure Eisy / Polisy is up to date Go to Admin Console configuration page and select update packages If you don't have a current backup, make a backup of your Eisy / Polisy (Admin Console | File | Backup ISY) If you are using Insteon, plug in the PLM If you are not migrating your Z-Wave network Use (Admin Console | File | Restore ISY) to restore either your Eisy / Polisy backup or your ISY-994 backup If you are migrating your Z-Wave network If you aren't already using it, plug in your ZMatter Z-Wave dongle and unplug any other Z-Wave dongle you may have been using. (Polisy only) If you have a ZMatter Z-Wave board then power down Polisy, add it, then power on again. Reboot Eisy / Polisy Use (Admin Console | File | Restore ISY) to restore your "migration" backup If you are migrating from Eisy / Polisy use the migration backup (e.g. "ISY-BackupWithZWaveMigration.v5.5.4__Sat 2023.01.21 09.07.44 AM") If you are migrating from ISY-994 use your ISY-994 backup When IoX restarts, it automatically does the following: Writes you Z-Wave network into the ZMatter Z-Wave controller Interviews every Z-Wave device in the Z-Wave nework, creating/updating nodes, programs and scenes. This process can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes for each device depending on the complexity of the device. The best way to monitor the progress is to open the Admin Console Event Viewer to level 3 For those who want lots of low-level details, you can also use this from the command line: tail -f /var/isy/FILES/LOG/ZWAY.LOG If you don't actually change your Z-Wave network by adding/removing Z-Wave devices after migration, you can back out the migration by connecting whatever Z-Wave dongle you were using before migration and restoring the backup you made prior to migration. If you are using Insteon Go to the Admin Console configuration tab and make sure INSTEON Support is enabled (default username/pwd = admin/admin) If you are using a new PLM, Restore the PLM Reconfigure any software utilizing to point to this Eisy / Polisy, restart the other software, if necessary.
  2. I'm not clear about what you are saying, can you try and rephrase your issue? Are you saying your program is not running? If so, right click on it and select run then. Did your program run?
  3. When you migrate a ZWave network to ZMatter, the node addresses change from ZW to ZY. However, since the node names can be customized, if they maintain ZW in their name, that change needs to be done manually.
  4. While Zwave has its own backup button, once that is done, it becomes part of the Polisy/eisy back up. Be sure to back up Polisy after ZWave back up. Be sure to run an upgrade packages just before your migration. There are more things upgraded besides firmware and you want to make sure you are up to date. You are moving your USB PLM, but I'm not completely clear if you are moving your ZMatter Zwave dongle or are going to use a new one? Assuming you are moving the one from Polisy, plug it in when you plug your PLM in. There is no need to uncheck Insteon and ZWave support before shutting down Polisy, however, you will need to check Insteon and Polisy support after starting eisy with both the PLM and USB dongle in place. You will need to reboot after checking the support boxes. Get eisy up and running before moving licenses for portal and before migrating PG3x and node servers. Don't forget to go through programs and network resources for errors and you may need to re-save each one to get them working. If you have battery devices, turn off auto update for them and write them one at a time. Don't forget to back up eisy and PG3x when done. Be sure to follow instructions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migration
  5. Agree it is not a global Zwave lock issue, my FE469 Schlage lock works without issue.
  6. What is your firmware version? Earlier, there were a few firmware versions that were experiencing random reboots. Firmware version 5.6.0 is good and I haven't seen any random reboots with it.
  7. A Zwave device can only be part of one network. Best practices includes removing or excluding a device prior to including or adding the device. You can search these forums and see that advice repeatedly mentioned. The following is the Zwave instructions for adding a device from the UD Wiki, pay attention to the last line note. Select Z-Wave | Add a Z-Wave Device and wait for a popup window to appear. If the popup window does not appear, Select Z-Wave | Advanced | Stop Adding or Removing a Z-Wave Device then try again. Put the Z-Wave device you are adding into learn Mode. Refer to the user guide for your product on how to do this. In many cases this just requires you to press a button on the device. The ISY will begin adding the device (this may occur a few seconds after you put the device into learn mode). The popup window will go away and you will see your device added to the tree. Note: To add a device, it must not already be in a Z-Wave network. Therefore, if you are having trouble adding a device try removing it first.
  8. Read thru the .igration instructions again to make sure you completed all of the manual intervension that is called for. You must have missed the step that speaks to enabling disabled programs. You may also need to resave programs to get them working. Try running the Synchronize with Interview.
  9. Try doing a search for the ISY Cookbook. It was written for the ISY, but most of the programing examples will work fine with eisy. Also, make sure you are running the latest firmware, v5.6.0.
  10. The node addresses should have updated to ZY, but the node names may need to be updated manually. All Zwave nodes on UD's ZMatter dongle should be ZY.
  11. What version of firmware are you on. The latest is v5.6.0 and if you are not on that then you need to update. Try running Synchronize with interview. Next, open event viewer, set to level 3, clear the log and operate your Zwave program to lock/unlock your doors. What is in the event viewer? Post it here if you need help interpreting the log. Next, right click your program name and select copy to clipboard, then paste your program here.
  12. See if there is anything in the event log or error log.
  13. Understood, in my case, my wife is most happy with things clearly labeled on/off. That way she doesn't have to remember is it one press or two presses. As I was writing this, I had a thought that I haven't fully explored but will mention it in case you want to look in to it. Would it be possible to write an intermediate program that monitors your existing program for on/off and triggers the opposite? Then have UD Mobile favorite control the new program. That way you are only using one press of the favorite and the second program triggers the first program opposite of the current state. Hope that makes sense.
  14. Are you opposed to using two UD Mobile favorites? If not, you could create two command type favorites, one to run then (on) and one to run else (off).
  15. Are you trying to access your ISY from the Launcher? If not, follow these directions: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Installing_the_Admin_Console_Icon_on_Your_Desktop If you are using the Launcher and it doesn't find your ISY, then you need to try these fixes: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#ISY_Not_Found and https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#ISY_Finder_does_not_find_ISY Make sure you clear your Java cache being sure to check all 3 boxes to delete. What happens if you type your ISY address in a browser window? As for the portal, you need to sign in to the portal and make sure your ISY is on line. Talking about what Mobilinc can or can not do means nothing. Also, what does "can't reach any port"" mean? What port are you trying to reach?
  16. Did you report this to UD with a help ticket? They may not know about it otherwise.
  17. 3 button presses should gracefully shutdown Polisy. Afterwards unplug it and then plug it back in after a short wait
  18. How did you reboot Polisy? I know UD has stated there is no difference, but it has been my experience that there is a difference between rebooting and shutting down, removing power for 30 seconds, and then powering back up. I would suggest trying a graceful shutdown with 3 presses of the multifunction button, removing the power cord and plugging power back in after 30 seconds.
  19. That usually means you need to restart PG3x from the top menu. Have you tried that? I'm not at my computer, but I believe restart is at top right menu, maybe under Systems (?).
  20. You can also add your IP address to the Exception List in the screenshot above.
  21. Here are some additional steps to try: Admin Console icon does not appear on the desktop Close all your browsers Go to System Preferences | Java to get to Java Control Panel Click on Delete Files and make sure you check Applications Click on the Settings Button Make sure Keep temporary files on my computer is checked Copy the directory under Location Open up Finder and delete the above directory under Location Close Java Control Panel Open a browser and retry the Admin Console (JNLP) URL ISY Finder does not find ISY Open a terminal window Type hostname on the command line and copy the results to the clipboard Open /private/etc/hosts and make sure you have right below the first 127.0.0.1 listing: 127.0.0.1 whatever-hostname-you-copied-in-step2 Admin Console Hangs If you have any of the following modules on your MAC (under System Preferences | Privacy/Security | Accessibility), you may experience Admin Console hang when editing text fields. This is especially the case when you try copy/paste: BetterTouch App Text Expander App PopClip App Moom Appp Usually disabling these modules will fix the issue. For more information please checkout: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20116958/java-apps-freeze-mac-os-10-9 Java applications are blocked by your security settings Close all your browsers Go to System Preferences | Java to get to Java Control Panel Click on Delete Files and make sure you check Applications Click on the Settings Button Make sure Keep temporary files on my computer is checked Click on the Security tab on the top Click on Restore Security Prompts and then click on Restore All button on the ensuing dialog Click on the Edit Site List Click on the Add button Enter https://isy.universal-devices.com followed by hitting the Return key on the keyboard. Accept the warning Click on the OK button Admin Console is very slow or hangs If the admin console is slow to respond, it is likely you need to increase the amount of memory allocated to the Java runtime (JRE). Open the Java Control Panel, select Java tab, press View button, then add or modify the Runtime Parameter -Xmx to the following: -Xmx512m Press Ok to close the window, then Press Apply to save the changes admin.jnlp does not start the Admin Console If Java is indeed installed, the reason is that .jnlp file association is broken (it has to point to javaws.exe). Search for javaws.exe in the computer. Right mouse click and select "Open with" and point to "javaws.exe" to fix the .jnlp file association. I know it's painful, but if you want to get to the bottom of the problem, you need to go thru these steps.
  22. Can you access the admin console using the IoX Launcher?
  23. Free support will end on June 1, 2023 with paid support ending June 2024. Starting June 1st there is also a fee to transfer to a different ISY994. Only you can answer that question, but remember, there will be no future development or added device.
  24. If @MrBill's comment doesn't help, we will need more information. I have never used Axis cameras, so I don't know what the settings for Event can do. Are you sure you have it set up correctly? Do you have a manual? What does the program you are trying to run do? Why are you trying to add your camera to a network resource? What exactly are you trying to accomplish? IF you don't want to post details, you can PM them to me. Not sure I can help, but willing to try when I have some spare time.
  25. It is customary with ZWave to do an exclude prior to doing an include. Since you decided to start fresh with eisy, did you do an exclude before adding the ZWave lock? If not, your best bet will be to exclude and then include, before we go down a rabbit hole. You should not have to reset the ZWave controller. I have been using ZWave at two locations and the only time I had to do this was when UD required it before a ZWave firmware update. By ghost objects are you referring to deleting devices and having some remnants remaining behind? They can be removed by going to the top ZWave menu and selecting Synchronize > New & Deleted with Interview, or New & Deleted (without Interview). Other troubleshooting steps you can try: 1. Open the event viewer to level 3, and operate the lock. Does it show in the event viewer? 2. In a browser window, type: http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:8080/rest/nodes/ZY005_1 Replace the x's with your eisy IP address and replace the ZY005_1 with the locks address. You can find this in the admin console right hand side when you are on the lock in the left hand tree. Copy the address exactly, upper vs lower case matters. You will need to provide your eisy login info when requested. The output should tell you what is available. If you added the lock without excluding, I think all of this will be for naught.
