Well, while you are behind in updates, the good news is you don't appear to be so far behind that you can not upgrade yourself. According to the wiki, you need to be on at OS version 13 & it looks like you are. As @Geddyindicated above, you can open a support ticket for expert assistance. If you want to try to update yourself before opening the support ticket, let me know and I will tell you how to open a log screen to monitor the process.

Try logging in to PG3 by using your browser. Enter the following IP address: https://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:3000 Replace the "x's" with your eisy IP address. You should receive the login box for the portal. After logging in with your portal credentials, you should then be able to log in to PG3 using your eisy credentials. In the IoX Launcher you can add an IP address by clicking on "Add". Have you tried that and are you entering: https://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:8443/desc Replace the "x's" with your eisy IP address. If you still can not get in using "https", then go in using http & port 8080. Go to Configuration tab and check under Network Settings and insure DHCP is checked should be greyed out, but checked) and then check the port for "https". Edit: If you still can not get in via "https", are you running any antivirus protection (try turning it off briefly) or possibly a firewall rule blocking it?

New Clean EISY - Fresh Update - Fresh Migration - Can't login to PG3x
DennisC replied to ISY4Me's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
No mystery, this is what's been fixing it when PG3x won't take your login. -
You all ready have this information available to you in the Tempest app. If it is that important to you to have it in your automation (I agree with Bob, don't see the value of this in an automation system), then create a variable and add the total once a year. Then you can sum it year after year and display any way you would like.

You have too much going on right now. I would suggest to start with shutting down, removing power, and after waiting about 15 minutes try the admin console & PG3x again. For now, ignore the notice to upgrade packages, if you are on v5.5.9, you are on the latest. It is a known bug that will be fixed in the next firmware release. If after doing this, the admin console is at a steady state, list your remaining problems and we can try to help.

New Clean EISY - Fresh Update - Fresh Migration - Can't login to PG3x
DennisC replied to ISY4Me's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
Use the multi function button (6 button presses ) to shutdown eisy, remove power for several minutes, power it backup and try again. Be sure to wait 15 minutes before trying to log in to PG3x and after signing in to your portal, the login for PG3x is the same as your eisy. -
Glad you got it working

If you get to it great, if not, no worries. I thought it was different than a light node and wanted verification. Thanks.

I will give it a shot - From the wiki here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-994i_Series_INSTEON:Networking:Network_Resources Network Resources is a powerful feature of the ISY-99, allowing you to interface with a virtually unlimited number of network-enabled devices! While a little outdated, the concept still applies. You can send small scripts to other network devices to run commands. You can create them your self by going to Configuration - Networking - Network Resources. As an example, the Notification node server easily allows you to send Notification of all sorts by using Network Resources. In the Network Resource you can include email substitutions (https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-994i_Series:EMail_and_Networking_Substitution_Variables) to give status of various devices.

Follow up question - I just noticed that I have two nodes remaining with light bulb symbols in admin console. One is for a Elk Task, it shows as nxxx_task_1 - Elk Light and the other one as nzzz_counter_2 - Elk Counter. They both are doing things in the Elk M1, should they remain or can they be deleted from the node server?
-
FYI, The update went fine, but the light nodes were not automatically removed. I had to delete them manually.
-
Have you checked the steps listed here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#ISY_Finder_does_not_find_ISY
-
@Jimbo.Automates, The link for Light Node above is not working. It results in a not found message.
-
@Geddy, The "-h", is to do a graceful shutdown, so he could pull the plug. It's the only way I know of to recover access to sign into PG3 when it doesn't accept your login. Rebooting hasn't worked for me under those circumstances.
-
Glad you got it working. You need to set up ISY to use DHCP automatically. See the wiki for details
-
For the messages to stop completely, a new firmware upgrade will be issued by UD. It's not been released yet

If you wrote you are down, they typically reply within a few hours, sometimes even on weekends.

Try one more thing from the ssh screen: sudo service udx restart

Can you try another cable? I am out of suggests, you should open a support ticket: https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets/
-
First, check this: Check error light on front to see if they match my post above. Make sure you have connected the network cable to the right jack on the back of the unit (the right most when Polisy is facing you) Make sure your router is initially DHCP enabled Possibly a bad cable?
-
Did you try all the steps from both wiki's? If you can not find your Polisy by adding the IP address to the Launcher manually and you are not running a VPN or antivirus software, it is possible your IP address changed. Check your router and confirm you have the correct IP address. Also, confirm you used https and the port :8443, and that you did not change the port at sometime. Did you check the error lights on front of Polisy? If ISY Launcher cannot find your ISY: Most importantly, you need to reinstall the ISY Launcher VPN software is running on your computer or you're on a VPN network Unit is not on the same network as your compute. Perhaps you changed routers? If so: follow these instructions If not #1, please open your router page and see whether or not you see ISY994-EMS (for ISY) or polisy (for Polisy) in the list of LAN clients. If you find the IP address, then, in ISY Finder, click on the Add button and enter ISY994: http://1.2.3.4/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of ISY in the router) Polisy: https://1.2.3.4:8443/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of Polisy in the router) If not #2, then perhaps the unit is not powering on: ISY994: Please make sure the pattern is as outlined here Polisy: Reboot the unit, all 3 LEDs should get lit and then only the left most is lit. Wait for 30 seconds. You should hear a beep If not #3, the issue is that you might have firewall/VPN software (especially VPN). Please do #2 Maybe try removing power one more time?
-
First step is to do a graceful reboot. Since you can log in via ssh, enter sudo shutdown -r now. That should reboot Polisy. You mentioned clearing Java cache, which is good, did you then download a new start.jnlp? If not, clear it again, including deleting all 3 check boxes, and then download it from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Click on the downloaded file and it should add the ISY Launcher to your desktop. Make sure you wait at least 15 - 20 minutes before trying to access the admin console. Still can't find Polisy, click add button in Launcher and add: https://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:8443/desc and click Ok. Note: Replace xxx.xxx.x.xxx with your IP address. If that doesn't work, check instructions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Polisy:User_Guide#Can't_Find_Polisy and here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#ISY_Not_Found

I would suggest that there might not be a need to do a factory reset. However, if you wish, the multi function button is your friend. Per the eisy user manual here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Multi_Function_Button, 10 presses of the multi function button does a factory reset. The reason for using the upgrade packages button is to insure the updates are applied in the correct order. I would suggest signing in to admin console and go to Configuration tab and select upgrade packages. Note that the admin console should close after a short delay and you should wait about 15 - 30 minutes before logging in again. You might also need to do a reboot after upgrading. I would suggest trying this and if all is good afterwards, a factory reset isn't required, but future upgrades should follow the directions. As for the PG3 login issue, you should be using the same login credentials for PG3 on eisy that you use for your eisy. If you still can not login, I have found shutting down eisy and removing power for a few minutes corrects that issue. It is something that is being investigated. If you still have an issue, post full details and a screenshot of errors. As for the notice about upgrades being available, that is a known bug that will be corrected with the next release.
