Two Good ZMatter pre-migration questions
All of your questions are answered in the wiki Migration document located here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migration This document is upgraded regularly, so make sure you are looking at the latest. 1. Since you are going from ISY to Polisy, if you read the specific instructions for that upgrade, you are not doing anything until you are ready to install the migration backup from your ISY, other than upgrading and backing up Polisy. Just leave the Zwave support box unchecked unt you are told to make sure it is checked. You can certainly factory reset your current ZMatter board on the Polisy to be safe. 2. According to the instructions, yes, you will loose what was already added to Polisy when you restore your ISY migration backup to Polisy. You are migrating one system to another, not "adding to". As an aside, I would wait until the current upgrade packages issue is resolved before migrating. You want to make sure you are on the current version for both systems when you migrate and right now there is an issue with upgrade packages.

EISY upgrade from POLISY? (RE ISY-994i/Zwave)
ISY is at end of life and will no longer receive updates, unless a major security flaw is detected. Polisy was to be the replacement, but supply issues for parts required to build it killed that. UD has committed to developing Polisy for several more years. Eisy is the future and while there are currently some growing pains, it is what is currently available. Eisy also runs PG3x which is required for node servers. No Pi unit is required. A USB PLM is required for eisy. If you already have a serial PLM, UD has a cable kit that can connect it to eisy.

PG3x minor release?
I'm hopeful that Bob can provide more information about what's currently happening.
-
PG3x minor release?
@bpwwer, Does that mean we should be doing an update now and node servers that won't start should all work after the update? Edit: After reading the board, it appears many more users are experiencing problems after attempting an upgrade.

Support thread: IoX 5.5.5 Release
If you are still in this state, I think I would use the mtifunction button to reboot. The wiki has the instructions.

[Merged Threads] Polisy upgrade 5.4.3 to 5.4.4
PG3x is for Polyglot on eisy. If you are running Polisy, Polyglot is PG3.
-
Support thread: IoX 5.5.5 Release
Where are you finding a post from Chris? The last post I can find from Chris in this thread is from Sunday. Both are versions for Polyglot. PG3 runs on Polisy and PG3x is for eisy.

Schlage Locks not fully adding to Eisy
I would suggest opening a support ticket with UD with the device information that you are having issues with. That way you are sure they know the device that is having issues and they can work on a fix.

Some problems after going from Z-wave to ZMatter......
I am sure UD will fix this, but to fix it, they need to know about it. I would suggest opening a support ticket with all of the device information.

Baby steps upgrade questions
Here are some other suggestions in case you haven't tried them: 1. Check your router to make sure IP address hasn't changed. 2. Turn off antivirus or VPN. 3. Push multifunction button 2 times to reboot. 4. Press and hold the multifunction button till the first and second LEDs (from the left) start blinking then release. This action resets all network configuration back to DHCP on the Ethernet jack next to the serial port. All other network interfaces shall be disabled.

Baby steps upgrade questions
I would suggest rebooting Polisy.

Zigbee not used - Shutdown the radio
Zigbee is scheduled to be available in a future firmware release. While I don't have advanced knowledge, I would guess that since Insteon and Zwave enabling have toggle switches in the admin console, so will ZigBee.
-
ISY on Polisy Pro - New PLM
Just a thought, have you tried a different outlet, in case there is something on the circuit you have been using that is interfering with the Insteon signal? Have you reached out to discuss with the people who did the repair?
-
ISY on Polisy Pro - New PLM
If none of your devices will work, I'm wondering if the PLM was not successfully repaired.

ISY on Polisy Pro - New PLM
Try right clicking each device and select restore device

ISY on Polisy went down 2 weeks ago...
The quickest way to resolve this would be with a ticket, as you already indicated above. Another idea is to flag @bpwwerand see if he has any ideas.

ISY on Polisy went down 2 weeks ago...
Just to verify, you are entering the same username and password you use to access your Polisy and you are selecting http at the bottom of the entries?

Drop down menus
Under File you can change the font size, but I think the smallest font is 12, which for me, doesn't help. Possibly, changing computer resolution might put more characters in the space, but then it becomes hard to see. I learned to adjust the way I name programs to keep the important parts at the beginning of the program name and to put programs in to folders to reduce the name but provide required organization. A plus to this, using folders allows for programs to be located much quicker.

eisy z-wave matter not responding
As previously stated, a Device can only be added to one system. Has nothing to do with the controller "list". The device needs to be excluded before being added, all normal, not odd.
-
eisy z-wave matter not responding
Thought you said it was connected to your ISY 994? If it was connected to any system, it needs to be excluded before adding to new system. There are times when even new devices right out of the box need to be excluded before they are included. Hence the best practice recommendation to exclude devices before including them

ISY on Polisy Pro - New PLM
Try right clicking each none working device and select restore device.

eisy z-wave matter not responding
The reason I asked you to tell us the procedure you used is because I suspected you were not following best practices. @tlightneis correct, it is best practices to exclude or remove a Zwave device before attempting to add it to a network. Zwave devices can only be part of one network. The procedure is the same when adding Zwave devices regardless if you are on 994, Polisy, or eisy. From UD's Zwave directions: Note: To add a device, it must not already be in a Z-Wave network. Therefore, if you are having trouble adding a device try removing it first.

eisy z-wave matter not responding
It's not clear to me the procedure you followed to get where you are. How about telling us the steps you followed to get here? Possibly, reboot eisy, open event viewer to level 3, and try adding g your Zwave device again. If you are adding a battery device, be sure to wake it up first.

I would suggest you fully flow the UD instructions from here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migration

First, did you upgrade packages? That should have been the first thing you did. What firmware andUI version are you currently on? The latest is v5.5.5. I believe v5.4.3 had an issue recognizing the ZMatter dongle. Are you upgrading an existing system or starting from new?
