  1. Something else that's proven to help me when powerline only devices are on my Insteon network; add the components of the old signallinc bridge to your power panel. This gives powerline signals a direct path across the the legs.
  2. The insteon thermostat is a little different than other insteon devices. It's not getting powerline signals so I didn't know how it would repeat local traffic. I'm not certain it would repeat wireless traffic, just don't know. If the thermostat is protecting something including the garage itself, I'd look at putting a module out there that can reach the house.
  3. I've run into this. The io module is a power line only module and my belief is that the door motor line noise is preventing the signal from making it to the plm. I did the query program a second or 2 after door travel time and it worked. I first added an access point to the garage (it would need to be a plug-in module today). This helped, but the query program seemed to fix it for free it could be added later if you continue to have problems
  4. Yes, that looks right. There's a catch-22 with the PLM restore.... you have to be connected to do it. Try powering down the eISY Unplug the the plm Unplug and firmly replug the plm's cable to the eISY on both ends plug the plm back in wait 10 seconds, the start eisy back up
  5. It happened to mine when I first set it up. It took 2 or 3 times. I'd the insteon box checked in iox under config?
  6. There's a couple of things to look at How old is the plm? Post the 4 numbers on the white sticker on the back of you don't know the year you bought it. Is the LED by the set button lit? It should be. If that checks out or the plm is new: when I first set up my eisy that happened to me and I had to restart eisy several times. Then it was good.
  7. Pg3x is the owner of the node & it's data.. it's best to delete the nodes within each plug-in there. But normally when you do, they're removed. If a node is blank, that means there wasn't data to update it. Sometimes it takes a while or certain events to happen. The details of that could be in the plug-in docs, or you could post a specific question about certain nodes in the forum under the plugins section.
  8. Can you look under Tools>Diagnostics>PLM Info/Status? What does it say?
  9. The limits are high for me. I don't remember specifics, but their web page explains it. I paid one time for the app one time $5 each for my android phone and ipad
  10. I've used pushover app for a number of years. Since using eisy, I've switched from using network resources to the paid for notification plug-in with pushover. I don't include image attachments, but pushover can have them, not sure if the the notification plug-in supports them. Worth asking in that forum. Pushover gives me organized notifications without clogging up email or text. The notifications can be put in groups they call apps, but this of them ssy folders. The pics are apps (folder) view and details in one of the apps(folders)

There's a thousand and one assumptions we can all make about how it's going to be architected. It's probably best to be encouraged that they've been listening and are working on it, and evaluate it once we can do that.
  12. The address is printed on the front, bottom right of the faceplate mount as you face the outlet. Small type, with a qr code you can scan.. It's meant for scanning it into an insteon hub, but it will come up and you can read it on your phone You can also put the eisy in linking mode, press the set button and have the eisy find it

In the comments in the announcement, Michel says "yes" The initial Jan 25 release is Insteon only
  14. I would say that there are tiers of products for smart thermostats and ecobee is very good value for the capability, quality, dependability and service as you mentioned. It's designed to be an home automation integrated product and I'm not as worried about them pulling the rug out from underneath my working system like Nest would have. I bought mine from them as refurbished for $125 and it came with one remote sensor... in my experience that's good money for something that works.
  15. Agreed. in that discussion we found it possible to send an All On from the button on the bottom of the iox device screen. I can't imagine where/how else the ISY could have sent that if not from the PLM itself.. My PLM that did it was recently bought one at that time.
  16. Hmmm. Pretty strange. One more relatively easy traffic related suggestion. Most Insteon switches have an option called "blink on traffic" or something like that. The switches status light will blink when it sees any (or perceived) Insteon traffic. I'd suggest picking one or a couple of switches near where you are when the tests are run, turn that feature on temporarily and see how long the blinking goes for. Typically it will be a few seconds, if it's longer or continuous, something is going on traffic wise.
  17. Isy can take a max of 16GB. You'll need to buy a new 16GB No. Create a fresh file set on your PC by copying the contents of the old card there. For the files it can't copy, take note of file name and directory. Then unzip the backup on to your PC in a different location. Use the list you created to repair the file set on your PC by copying from the unzipped backup location on the PC. Then copy the results onto the fresh card.
  18. No. Restore PLM will be on the file menu. If it does help, it will be temporary.
  19. A PLM with only 2 links is a broken PLM, there should be at least dozens of links. 1622 means week 22 of 2016, a period when PLMs had the bad capacitor issue. I don't disagree with @Techman on aligning FW/UI versions, but your PLM is on borrowed time.
  20. Ok, pressing and holding for 5 seconds factory reset the switch, wiping out its link table. You need to go into the admin console, pick the device and "restore device"
  21. Also, try a "restore device" on the one example you gave and retest.
  22. How old is your PLM. There'll be a sticker with 4 digits on the back that can be decoded here if you don't know. Try unplugging and replugging the PLM and retesting... If things start working it will mean the PLM is starting to die. Also, can you post an image of the PLM links table; how many links are in it and how many devices do you have?
  23. Not a zwave user. I'd search the forum for that topic, even recently some discussions about it. If that doesn't answer it, post a new topic in the right sub-forum Given the name of this thread, the new question will likely not be seen by many.
  24. You can add a new eisy to your renewed account @ my.isy.io
  25. To @oberkc's point: I went back and looked at the iox program you posted, and he has a point that plausibly explains what you're seeing Set 'MB Kelly Watch Winder' Fast Off Set 'Garage Lights' Off Wait 5 seconds Set 'Kitchen Main Lights 3 way' Off Set 'House Front' Off Set 'Garage Front Porch Lite' Off The commands inside of the 2 groups, before and after the "Wait 5 seconds", are banging into each other. Each "Set" command is creating messages to the Insteon device, and the Insteon device is responding. The next 'Set' command from the PLM is banging into that return message from the switch... then its retrying.. more collisions There are 2 ways to address this: (Recommended). Put each group of devices into a scene and turn the scene on or off. Scenes don't send clean-up messages, no wait is needed Put a 2 or 3 second wait after each direct device command.
