  1. There's no need to integrate the ISYs to gain both Z-Wave and ZigBee compatibility. I'm currently running two ISY independently. But a separate ZigBee controller for a single purpose would probably be less costly.
  2. You can add either Z-Wave or ZigBee to the ISY, but not both.
  3. Our favorite is, "turn the morning on" which opens all the bedroom window coverings (drapes, shades).
  4. I didn't create the list, Benoit did. Try deaden, lull, hush, muffle, quiet, silence.
  5. Oops. I unlinked the first account in case that was the difficulty. Now I have no access to the ISY from Alexa. The link does not appear in either account.
  6. Hi Michel, I'm using Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit. I followed the suggested procedure with no success. I also tried on a different machine that I haven't ever used to access Alexa and even logged in with an unused browser (Edge) with the same non-result. The ISY link is not there. Respectfully, Stu
  7. A goal is to minimize what you enter as the spoken. You can use conversationally coherent statements when speaking, such as, "the ceiling light," but enter only "ceiling light" as the spoken. Here's a list of known acceptable spokens, but you're not limited to that list.
  8. Try a simpler spoken such as "living room low." Then say "Alexa, turn living room low on," or "Alexa, turn on living room low." Also, I added a spoken for the device in addition to the scene. The scene's spoken is "living room light.," the device is "living room ceiling." As a result, I can issue, "Alexa, set the living room ceiling Y," where Y is any percent, for example, "Alexa, set the living room ceiling 40." Note that neither "to" nor "percent" is required.
  9. Call or send an email to UDI.
  10. I called Amazon and they pulled up my (new) account and were unable to solve the issue. I will they tried. While I was on the phone, on their own they found and viewed this topic.
  11. The main difference when using an On/Off or dimmer as a secondary device is that the On/Off switch clicks with each press, the dimmer does not.
  12. No luck. Same result. See image in first post.
  13. It seems that you would connect the NO contacts to the I/O Linc. According to the manual, then NC contacts are for a closed circuit alarm, that is, the alarm is set off if the circuit is interrupted (open).
  14. You can use the NC contacts if you enable Trigger Reverse on the I/O Linc. Unfortunately, there's been a number of posts indicating that the nightly query reverses the reverse condition (i.e., disables Trigger Reverse). But I agree, having NC contacts is a better way to create a notification if the pump fails. Do you have a link to the pump manual? I'd like to know a lot more before I suggest a possible solution.
  15. Did you add the program using the drop-down list? Do you have any devices or scenes with the same name as the program?
  16. Nearly everything went well. I was even able to add a scene to the sub-account and even enable the skill. But, there is still no link to the ISY in the Alexa app with the new account log-in, so no voice command work.
  17. Glad I could help without actually doing anything
  18. Which app are you referring to that's causing the problem? You can only add an entry using the portal. Discovering devices is an Alexa app command.
  19. According to the manual for your device that I just found on-line, you can use the buttons as controllers. Did you add the device button as a controller to a scene or as a program trigger? I don't have an Z-Wave controllers to test with.
  20. Nope. The Z-Wave device can't trigger a scene nor a program. There is no way the ISY can determine the state of the device unless it's queried.
  21. Yes, that's correct. But, you may want to change that to NO contacts so an indicator turns on if the pump fails.
  22. Yes, any Insteon remote can be only a controller. What is the indication that it's a responder? What happens if you place a button in a scene?
  23. Due to patent restrictions, most Z-Wave devices are one way only, that is they can receive a signal, but they do not ACK that signal (don't report their state unless queried). That's a function of the device and cannot be overcome by the ISY.
  24. I did activate/register the second Echo with the new Amazon account. The new account set up properly, skills were available including the ISY skill, and as you can see from the image I posted, the ISY was not available from the Connected Home window. I tried with two different Echos and two different Amazon accounts. A goal is to be able to use the same command in different areas. We currently need to specify which ceiling light we want turned on, for example, the living room light, dining room light or bedroom light no matter where we issue the command. We'd like to be able to say, "Alexa, turn the light on," and have the light turn on in the room we're in. Each Echo has a different wake word, Alexa, Amazon and Echo. so there'll be no confusion.
