Alexa found devices but "not found"
Those are two different connected Home Device Links. The Insteon Link will only find devices that are added to the Hub, as you found. The ISY Link requires that the ISY Skill be enabled first. before discovering devices.

NEW Amazon Echo Dot and Tap
I have three Echos that know which room they are in. That way, I can say, "Alexa, turn on the light," and only the light in that particular room turns on. If I'm in the dining room and want to turn on the kitchen light, then I do need to specify the "kitchen" light.

Help With Symbols
Nothing attached. Where are you seeing the grayed out symbol?

Trigger program with on/off control that originates from the ISY
If you are using "Control," then the program won't trigger unless you manually issue the command. Each time you issue that specific command, the program will trigger "Status" will trigger the program no matter how the command is issued as long as the command changes to state of the trigger. Edit: looks like you figured it out as I was writing

Diming lights for scene
The 3% per brightness change is an Insteon restriction. Benoit miraculously found a way to issue three consecutive changes with one command. More than that is simply not possible unless the Inston protocol is changed-ain't gonna happen. There are a couple of solutions. I use both. Most often, a specific preset is used. In that case, a pair of scenes works best. For example, we mostly use two levels in our living room, so we have two scenes with spokens, "light" and "bright light." "Alexa, turn the light on," or "Alexa, turn the bright light on." Create your own adjectives, such as love, low, lively, loud The second solution is best if you want to specify different levels that would involve too many scenes. Simply add the scene and the device wired to the load. Give each a different spoken, respectively, such as "light" and "ceiling light." Devices do respond to %age levels, so you can ask, "Alexa, turn the light on," for the scene and, "Alexa, set the ceiling light to xy," for a specific %age. You do not need to voice "percent."

Keypadlinc and scene not working right
Did you alter the Movie scene or did you create a new Away scene? If the latter, is the IR command still pointing to the Movie scene?

help linking remotelinc
Which RemoteLinc? If it's the original, then the ID is in the battery compartment. Some ISY versions require that you put the original RemoteLinc into linking mode when the RemoteLinc is 30-40' from the PLM, but near a dual-band device.

Forcing an off command?
A program is a great idea. You can put a statement that turns the scene off in both Then and Else. Then you can verbally turn the scene on or off and it will execute a scene off only.

ISY Admin Console Reporting Incorrect Insteon State
Both the Firmware and UI must be the same. If not, you may get unexpected results.

Programming "If" for ANY change to device status??
Control requires that the device be manually manipulated. The command is always sent even it the state of the device does not change. If the trigger is On, then the program will trigger every time On is pressed. If a command is sent from another device (e.g., scene), then the program will not trigger. Status requires that the state of the device changes. It doesn't matter if you manually change the state or another device changes the state (e,g,. scene). The scene will not trigger if the state does not change.

Programs: The initial "And" or "Or"?
The ISY does not know in advance where you are going to insert a statement, so the And/Or option is always there. But neither the And nor the Or are ever placed in front of the first statement. Try it. Insert two If conditions. Move the second statement to the first position. The And or Or no longer precedes that specific condition

Multiple Echos, different IDs not working
I deleted all references that the portal had to the problem account (see #31), closed and opened the Admin Console and the account awaiting approval was absent Edit: I added the account again to no avail.

Multiple Echos, different IDs not working
Any solution? I ordered two Dots to supplement our three Echos. Five accounts would be ideal, at least for now If not, is there a way to delete the account pending approval? See post #31

Can ISY Portal be used instead of dyndns? As dyn.com fails to update rapidly.
I use both DynDNS and the portal to access the ISY from off-site. I did forward a port for the DNS service.

Multiple Echos controlled from any Echo
To control Connected Home devices assigned to a different Amazon account (i.e., sub-account), add a profile to the Alexa app from which you'll issue commands. Then ask Alexa to switch to that different account. Don't forget to switch back

PLM Link Table -- not reliable at all
The PLM and ISY using a serial protocol over a Cat5 cable. Any Insteon traffic will alter the count. Power the PLM from a filterLinc to keep inbound traffic out.

5 way switching Cost effective way to utilize insteon?
At each box with a 3-way switch cap the red wires separately. At the box with the 4-way switches, cap the red wire pair from each switch together. This is not required, but will help in the event 4-ways are put back in. None of the red wires will actually be used. Connect all black wire together and install insteon devices (SwithLincs or KPLs) at boxes 1 and 2. Cap the Insteon load (red) wires separately. At box 3, the wire connected to the black screw is the load.

NEW Amazon Echo Dot and Tap
Yes, they--Amazon--are trying to limit access. Are you a Prime member? Do you have an Echo or Fire TV? Currently, you need to answer yes to both.

Multiple Echos, different IDs not working
Wondering--do I need to have an Echo added to the Amazon account for the Admin Console to approve the service?

5 way switching Cost effective way to utilize insteon?
An advantage of Insteon is that you can do one job at a time. I started with a few devices. I have more than 100 now, but that took years

5 way switching Cost effective way to utilize insteon?
I don't know about the Aeotech Micros, but most Z-Wave devices do not report their status (unless queried) and therefore cannot be used to trigger a program.

5 way switching Cost effective way to utilize insteon?
Insteon dimmers remember their pre-set On-level even if power is lost. Some dimmers can be set to return to the last On-Level rather than the pre-set level--even if power is lost.
