I haven't looked at the 5+ versions, but all the Z-Wave versions are meant to run Z-Wave devices with or without the PLM. It's also been recommended by Michel if you're running Z-Wave only or a combination of Z-Wave and Insteon. Other than losing functionality, Insteon devices, scenes and programs will net be affected.
-
What else is connected to the same circuit as the PLM? What is the PLM version?
-
Download the Z-Wave version of the firmware and UI which do not require the PLM.

You must've not checked. Echo became available a few weeks ago

Connected Home is now Smart Home and it's no longer in Settings.
-
Yup, it's OK here, too and that's not OK

The Aeon Labs z-wave energy meter requires the the conductors be separated. There is a solution if you have a neutral wire in the dryer outlet box.
-
Michael, Thanks a lot. More info than expected makes the command even more useful. BTW, I didn't need to replace : with %3A. Thanks again

A 120VAC motor requires that there be a neutral wired to the dryer. Most 240VAC motor cords do not include a neutral. Sometimes there's a neutral in the outlet box, but rarely to the dryer itself.

Is there a neutral wire in the dryer outlet box?

Keeping programs in folders makes it easy to find the program for editing. Also, you can include sunset to sunrise as a program condition.
-
That's true, but programs do what you tell then do which is not always what you meant to say. Consider the condition you wrote: Status 'MBR-Corner Lamp' is Off which triggers Set 'MBR-Corner Lamp' 15%. At that instant, the condition evaluates as false and the program stops (or executes the Else statements). Paul's programs (#2) work because NiteLite 2 doesn't have a condition that keeps it from running to its conclusion.

Wes is very helpful. Have you posted on the MobiLinc Forum ?

Tip 1: Although a device can be a controller of only one scene, it can be a trigger of nearly unlimited programs. Tip 2: Set the MS to send ON only. Use a program to turn the scene off. There will be a delay if you program ON. If the MS is a scene controller (no delay), then you can adjust the On-level of the responder(s) based on the time of day/night using programs triggered by the scene controller (i.e, MS).

After adding a program to the portal and Alexa, I've been able to edit programs and the spoken ran the updated program--until now. Deleting the program from both the app and the portal then re-adding the program worked. If the problem recurs, I'll update the app or portal before testing, not both. Any others experience this?

When I log into my UD Portal there is a red "X" before my ISY UUID
stusviews replied to jblackst5000's topic in UD Portal
The red X is a delete option. Each device, scene and/or program you add will also have that option. -
I have several Echo accounts. I'm always tinkering with all accounts. The skill is enabled in each. I never disable the ISY skill to add and/or delete devices, scenes and programs and have no difficulty discovering devices. I do occasionally get Alexa's message that no connected home devices were found (as a result of discovery) even though they were.

We're getting somewhat used to using on and off for window coverings and locks. Interestingly, Izzy can't turn a thermostat on or off, so a program is required.

Merci beaucoup, Benoit Mercier

Michel, Cleared the browser cache, closed the browser, logged into the Echo app (Alexa), ran this link , got the same result, "Warning ... "
-
I currently have four accounts, one main and three subs. When I log into the portal on three of the accounts, everything is as expected. However, when I log in on one particular sub-account and select Connectivity, Amazon Echo, I get the warning shown below. I can cancel the warning and everything works as if the warning never occurred. If I select My Portal, the correct Amazon account appears.
-
That's true for most devices, all scenes and the Then (On) and Else (Off) sections of programs. You still need to tell Alexa to ask Izzy to control thermostats, locks and run the If section of a program. If you set up sub-accounts for each Echo, the you do not need to identify the room that the Echo is in, for example, "Alexa, turn on the light," works for the living room light when I'm in the living room.

All equally horizontal or all equally vertical, just not in random directions

No. The devices I added to the portal for Echo control.

Good point. If I had a list, then it wouldn't be lost.
