In the simplest case, if there's an accessible outdoor outlet, then it's easy to probe your entire Insteon network. It's only a bit more difficult if you have dual-band devices. But there's always the gain over cost. So why would someone probe your home? Or why wouldn't they?

Three dims or brightens is with one command delightfully effective. I do have situations where a precise brightness level is required, but that's not an everyday occurrence. Thank again, Monsieur Mercier

A solution is to forget all device and groups (bottom of list) and re-discover devices. I don't have any groups, but I suspect that they will all need to be recreated.

I can't argue with that logic

I issued a voice command an received a message that there was more than on device with that name. The same message repeated when I tried anothe command. A view of the connected home device revealed that nearly every device in the list was duplicated. How can this happen?

If Control 'Leak Sensor - Wet' is set On Then Set 'Insteon Device' On

barrygordon, madcodger found the problem on one device at 70%, I found it at only 30%. You checked only a few %ages. I checked only one device. But, I did get the same result as madcodger, that is, one percentage point above and below worked. I can hardly wait to test other devices, but I'll have to

I just tried with one device, a KPL dimmer. The dimmer has a default of 50%. I randomly started by telling Alexa to set the [spoken_name] to 30. Bingo! The light did not turn on and Alexa went silent. I then tried every 10%age and Alexa responded correctly. And, similar to what madcodger found, 29% and 31% were fine. The only non-response was 30!!!

It's difficult to blame the PML as only ISY users have reported the problem. Also, as abartello indicated, the older ISY didn't exhibit an All On. But, there's also a lot more devices now. Still, no solid evidence pointing to a cause, only speculation.

Bought the portal, now where is the network module?

You network resources screen is blank because you haven't added any network resources. View Help, About. -
Only a few, myself included, have experienced the ALL ON phenomenon at all. There is, to date, no affirmation as to the cause.

Post your program. (Right click and copy to clipboard, then paste to forum.)

You'll need two programs and a spare device (you'll need to query the device because you can't query a battery powered device). Link the sensor as a controller of the spare device. If Control 'sensor' is switched On Then Wait 7 seconds Run 'program 2' (If) Program 2 If Status 'spare device' is not off Then set ... Else set ...

Port 443 is a secure port that uses https and requires that you obtain a certificate. Another method is to forward a port on your router and use your WAN address as suggested by Bob P. suffixed with the port number. For example if your WAN is 71.87.242.63 and you opened port 34567, then you would browse to 71.87.242.63:34567 (don't miss the :). List of Ports to avoid Unless you have a static IP address, then your WAN address can change. A DNS service can circumvent that circumstance. BTW, the reason to not enable internet access is because that uses UPnP which is a security risk.

Put the remote in linking mode and issue a restore device by right clocking on the remote name.

The skill is require to control thermostats, locks and to run the If section of a program. Alexa can run Then (on) and Else (off) without Izzy. BTW, Alexa, tell Izzy to ... or ask Izzy to ... works. Also, Izzy will tell you what was accomplished, Aleaxa won't.

Oh, it was clear. But not nearly the quality of sound reproduced by my sound system. I'm a sound enthusiast and have up-scale, although vintage (60's-80's) audio gear.

Forgot to mention, the suffering was not because of the music, only the sound quality

I'm not in favor or "named" devices being gone (what if I want to rename it), but I'd certainly appreciate having devices with given names be in a different color than devices that have default names.
-
Alexa can control all devices in the connected home list (if you can pronounce it) even if you didn't specifically name it using the portal. But if you do assign a name using the portal, then you need to re-discover devices from connected home.

I just suffered through more than 15 minutes of iHeart without missing a beat.

Voice control may not reach the popularity of HA, but I don't believe it'll go away anytime soon. In fact, HA itself is seeing a surge in popularity. The problem with 3D TVs was that they required adding something to you body that you needed to then remove to otherwise function. Voice is built-in

That works only with devices, not scenes. If you have more than one responder, then that won't work. And if you have more than one controller (e.g., KPL buttons, 3-way configuration), the controllers won't indicate the state of the scene.
