Amazon Echo - Connected Home Feature!
I can get the fan to turn off, but, so far, no luck turning the fan on--at any speed.

Help with MS 2842-222 - Off command is turning lights off 1 minute later
oberkc is correct. A scene would cause all the lights to turn on or off concurrently. With a program, the lights respond sequentially.

Help with MS 2842-222 - Off command is turning lights off 1 minute later
The program looks good. I agree, set the MS to night only. Lower sensitivity numbers require darker conditions. It takes about 4-1/2 min for the settings to kick in, so don't expect immediate results. I adjusted mine over several days even more considering the days I forgot to make an adjustment

New 994 - Linking Will Not Start
The best place to install filter is on a known troublemaker. Unplug or disconnect the suspected device. Just turning it off is inadequate. If communication improves, then you've found the culprit. If communication does not get any better, then adding a filter there is a waste. Just installing/plugging in Range Extenders is inadequate. You must also use the beacon test to ensure that they're communicating from opposite legs of the split, single-phase electric supply.
-
New 994 - Linking Will Not Start
That's every indication of poor communication. The primary cause is that the opposite legs of the split, single-phase are not bridged. Other causes include signal stompers, those that put a lot of noise on the power line and signal suckers, those that clean the power line. Examples of the former are wall warts and (mostly older and/or generic) computer power supplies. Line conditioners and UPS are power line cleaners, as they should be. In either case, it's the culprit, not everything that needs to be filtered.

New 994 - Linking Will Not Start
Interesting. Both the QSG and Owner's Manual describe using the set button to link the LampLinc.

the XPCR is a great addition for X10 signals, but it can interfere with Insteon communication.

2487s KeypadLinc buttons
Factory reset the KPL, then restore the device.

2487s KeypadLinc buttons
I use my thumb and index finger to hold the bottom and top buttons, respectively and a small screwdriver in the other hand to push in the set button. But it's OK to get help

2487s KeypadLinc buttons
That surely seems as though the KPL is in 8-button mode. Pull the SET button at the bottom of the switch all the way out, and wait 10 seconds. While simultaneously pressing the ON and OFF buttons, push the SET button back in to its normal position (do not press the SET button all the way in, rather let it return to its normal position). Be sure to press the ON and OFF buttons in the middle and not on one side or the other!!

Dual Band questions - powerline - RF
Just for the record, the single width breakers you refer to are often referred to as half-height circuit breakers.

Daylight Saving Not Working on Custom
The nearest city is not always the best choice. If you live in Alabama, for example, the nearest city may be in Georgia. But Alabama and Georgia are in different time zones. So, you would need to choose the nearest city in the same time zone.

Help with MS 2842-222 - Off command is turning lights off 1 minute later
Neither a program nor a scene has any effect on the darkness sensitivity. All of my Motion Sensors are controllers of scenes. That make the response much quicker than a program, instantaneous rather that a second or more which is the delay a program adds. The Motion Sensors are set to send an On only, programs handle the duration of the on-time. If your lights are turning on during daylight, then set a lower value for darkness sensitivity. It takes about four minutes for the change in sensitivity take effect.

All bulbs work with the ISY, but some may not respond well to SmartHome dimmers. I've had success with dimmable Sylvania and Cree LED bulbs and only moderate success with dimmable Philips LED bulbs. If you need/want a non-dimmable bub, most LED bulbs function well, but do not power a non-dimmable bulb with a dimmer. Even at 100%, the TRIACs clip the waveform reducing the life of the bulb, the dimmer or both.

LampLinc - information
Ants can easily penetrate 5/64", so can fruit flies. You may have neither in your region, but I'll bet there is a local insect that can penetrate your bore. Not a fail. It's inspired others, I'm sure. Thanks for the compliment on the BuzzLinc. It's meant to be intrusive, or at least, not ignored.

Unable to connect to device
Right click on the device, select Restore Device. When that's done, right click and select Write Updates to Device. What's the result?

Door sensor
Rechargeable batteries don't last nearly as long as standard batteries, so you'll definitely save $$, but you'll be changing batteries more often. I've had luck (long life) using lithium ion batteries.

ISY/PLM Combination
It you be very unusual, although not impossible, that placing a dual-band device near a noise maker would overcome the noise. Is the washer/dryer 110/120V or 220/240V?

Newb looking for help on programming X10 WS467
Disconnect/remove power from the ISY and the PLM in any order. Power up the PLM several seconds before applying power to the ISY. You can lengthen the Cat 5 cable between the ISY and router, but keep the cable between the PLM and ISY as short as possible.

Garage door opened at 2:57am by itself! Help
Sometimes a device doesn't correctly report its status to the ISY. The program updates the I/O Linc relay status. BTW, I'm not the poster who recommended the program, but it's a good idea
