    PLM

The count is only an approximation. If there's any activity during the time the count is occurring, then it can easily exceed the maximum. My last count, a few hours ago, was 682. A recount just now gave 573. The 417 maximum is for the older PLM. The current PLM can exceed 1000 links.

You can expect the count to vary, but when it's a low as you're getting, you're living on the edge. And that's not the cutting edge, it's falling off the edge
  4. The duration of the subscription varies, but it's a bit more than 2 years, coincidentally beyond the length of the warranty.. At that point a renewal is required. No other Insteon devices have that reputation as based on the PLM posts on this forum.
  5. Your PLM has outlasted the expected 2 year subscription. It's time for a renewal
  6. Right click on one of the KPLs, select Diagnostics, Show Device Links Table. When the tally finishes, select Compare. Are there any mismatches?

Scenes and devices will continue to function. So will Z-Wave devices, if you have any. Programs won't run.
  8. If any one of your three devices is a KPL, then the count is somewhat low. Use the PLM Link Calculator for an estimate.
  9. The back of the PLM has a white label with a four digit date code. What is the code?
  10. That'll be true if you only have a few devices. Use the PLM Link Calculator to estimate the number of expected links. the specific value you got is usually an indicator of a failing PLM.
  11. The log records all events, open or not.
  12. Tools, Diagnostics, Event Viewer. Set the level to 3. Clear if the panel is not blank. Right click on the scene, select Diagnostics, Scene Test. Answer Yes. What's the result? Save and post the log if needed.
  13. If commands were sent successfully, then there would not be an entry in the error log--even thought what was sent was not what you expected. The (regular) log will have a record of which signals (devices) were sent and which were received. Search the log for that particular time and the device involved. Also look at the links/scene for those devices.
  14. You can continue to use the device, scene and program names that make the most sense to you. The choice for the verbal name can be anything you want. For example, I have a scene called LR Audio Power that includes a KPL button, SynchroLinc and IR Transmitter. The spoken is "stereo."

  16. Bill, I have my audio and video gear on a FilterLinc. I use a short extension to plug the FilterLinc into the SynchroLinc.
  17. What's plugged into the SynchroLinc?
  18. What's the result if the turn a scene on or off from the Admin Condole?
  19. Select each button in each scene to ensure that it's On-evel is correct.
  20. Too bad they didn't mention the HA hardware they're using. But, I know where we'll be staying for our next Vegas stay
  21. For less than $25 a year, the portal will give you secure access with nothing to set-up (except the portal). The portal will also allow IFTTT recipes and the ability for voice control using an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot.
  22. There is some flexibility in the replacement. Add the new switch, move the old switch out of any folder it may be in. Right click on the old switch and select Replace with ... Any possible replacement will appear.

  24. You need to browse to your WAN address plus the port that you dedicated to the LAN address. Your WAN address is listed in your router. The format is WAN_address:port_number.
  25. You have two motion sensors with identical names? Not a good practice, in fact, a terrible practice. Place both sensors into the same scene. Select every option (except LED to save battery life). Use the program to turn the light scene off.
