Neither post specifically mentions or even alludes to the API. Post #9 mentions the "firmware" so I'll ask again, is the firmware equivalent to the API?
-
Code requirements differ. Which municipality/state? Which motion sensor?
-
I don't disagree, but nothing in that link specifies that UDI has the API for either the Alert Module or the Siren unless the firmware (which is mentioned) is equivalent to the API (which is not mentioned).
-
Do you have a link that indicates that UDI has the API?
-
If UDI had the API for either the Alert or Siren Modules, it'd be in a version 4 update.

Your programs only address if a device is "switched off," but all your premises indicate what you want to occur if the device is "switched on." You are inconsistent. So, which is it?
-
You don't need to invoke IZZY if you just want to run THEN or ELSE.

The Aeon Gen5 siren is currently supported.

And the result?

If you did not change the function of the buttons, then they'll behave as Keypad buttons do, each press alternates between On and Off.

Help with what should be a simple program...but ain't

You have no command that runs else. Add "And Status "garage sensor-opened" is not OFF" to the If statement.- 15 replies

It is simply not possible to turn off a load wired to an Insteon device by turning the device on. You can turn the load on at first and, subsequently after a brief pause, turn the load off. If that's what you want, then that is possible. But it that is not what you want, then you'll need to add another device such as a Micro Module and wire the load to that instead.
-
Program Lock is the top, left option for the I/O Linc.
-
I'm using an Echo to control the top outlet. The load responded nearly immediately.
-
Your log shows "Hops Left=2" so it's not a communication problem. I don't know why it takes so long to respond.
-
I just tried using a program that has the word "lock" in its name. (The spoken does no include "lock.") No problem controlling the lock.
-
You are doing nothing wrong. That's not unusual behavior for the Echo. Sometimes a different spoken helps, sometimes not. Try, "kitchen plug."
-
The address you enter must include dots, for example 3D.A1.FB
-
I have locks that are not named "lock." I can add them to the portal, but Alexa won't discover them.
-
Try selecting Program Lock and simulate a power failure. Any improvement?

What are ALL the option settings for the I/O Linc?
-
Using Open and Close with programs is supposed to work, but I found those commands problematic. I can use Open and Close with my GDO programs (I/O Lincs), but not with programs that control window coverings. Have you tried a program for you GDO?

Use Control is On (or Off) for the thermostat Heat Ctl as a trigger which depends on the set point rather than a specific temperature.

Are any of the device in a folder? If so, remove them from the folder to enable the delete command.

SH has a generous, but restrictive warranty policy. They nearly always require that you purchased from SH for the warranty. Amazon has a (usually) 30 day return policy, but no warranty. No personal experience, but that's what I've read. Anyone have a different warranty experience with, specifically, an Amazon purchase and a SH warranty? Edit: I'm in no way opposed to saving money. More to spend someplace else
