  1. Thanks, Larry. A minor change, >0% is not available, not off doesn't work, but >any value above 0% works.
  2. If you unplug anything, the correct sequence is to power on the PLM, wait about 10 or more seconds and then power on the ISY.
  3. 404 - Not Found
  4. I actually use a single button to control the FanLinc, except that I mimic the chain, that is, from off to high to medium to low to off
  5. The beep command doesn't actually do anything.
  6. The usual procedure is the reboot the ISY.
  7. The Mini Remote is different from both a KeypadLinc and a RemoteLinc. Virtually nothing from those devices applies to the Mini Remote.

    Night Light

When the status changes from Off to something other, then the program evaluates as false and ends.
  9. What is the result if you select one of the listed options? For example, does the 8 scene toggle actually give you 2 scene toggle?
  10. Try a simple reset first (pull out the set button, wait 10 seconds and tap it back in). If that doesn't help, try a full factory reset. After the factory reset, you'll need to restore the device. Have fun with the new baby

    Night Light

The reason the programs can't work is that as soon as the light is not off the first program will stop running due to the Status command. Try this: Program 1 If Status 'Twins Room Light' is Off And Control 'Twins Room Light' is switched Off Then Run Program 'Test2' (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Program 2 If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Set Scene 'Twins Room Light - Very Slow' On Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'Twins Room Light - Very Slow' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') You may want to change the wait time.
  12. Michel, I've had this problem more than once. It affected all devices on four portal accounts. There were no errors that could be seen. Rebooting the ISY fixed the problem except once. At a loss for anything else to do that one time, I had Alexa forget and rediscover devices. That worked. Respectfully, Stu

    Night Light

What actually occurs when you press Off? Try placing Set 'Twins Room Light' 35% before Run Program 'Twin Light Dim Off' (Then Path) with a 1 second delay between the two.
  14. I've experienced that problem more that once. Rebooting the ISY usually restores the Echo to functioning. If is doesn't, then use the Alexa app to forget all devices and then discover devices.
  15. AFAIK, all Insteon 2441TH thermostats have three modes including the three I have installed. Even my wireless 2441ZTH thermostats have three nodes. If yours doesn't, remove it from the ISY, do a factory reset and then add it back.
  16. Which stopped working, the ISY or the Echo?
  17. The thermostat has three nodes. Two of those are Heat Ctl and Cool Ctl. See image below: Create a scene with Heat Ctl as the controller and the duct fan as the responder. When the thermostat is in Heat mode, the Heat Ctl node will turn on when heating and off when not heating.
  18. Use Heat Ctl as the trigger.

    New Dot

Three Echos, three Dots. One Echo has version 4148, there's also a Dot in the same room that has the same wake word with version 4008. All remaining Dots and Echoes have version 4008. All behave as described with ESP enabled.

    New Dot

ESP is enabled. Previously, it two Echos were in the same room with the same wake word, it was like an echo, both responded with a delay between responses. As a result each Echo in the same room needed a different wake word. Now all my Echos in the same room have a single wake word. Only one responds. I still need separate accounts and wake words for Echos within earshot of each other that control different scenes using the same spoken (e.g. light, fan, window covering).
  21. Although scenes do not repeat commands, devices do even if they're part of a scene. The net result is that all the scene commands are repeated, although not as a scene.
  22. Battery powered devices need to be in linking for updates to occur. If it's not in linking mode, then nothing will happen at all. Holding both bright and dim until the LED begins blinking place the RemoteLinc into linking mode.
  23. In fact, I do need most of the brightness range. I don't need the range as a continuous option, but there's a place where 17% is ideal and another where I use 12%. I also use 20%, 25%, 50%, 85% and even more. Without the full range being available, I couldn't set these specific points. Virtually all the lighting uses two set points and a few have three. I rarely have need to adjust the brightness on-the-fly. No, I'm not illuminating insects, only readers
  24. True, but when the base of the logarithm is not specified, then the base is always considered to be 10. Also, the curve for the human eye to the sensitivity to light is not based on log2. If it were, then a change from 100% to 50% would be a just noticeable difference.
  25. How far were you from the PLM when you tried restoring/adding/updating? How far were you from a dual-band device? Did you press and hold both BRIGHT and DIM to begin the process? Yes, you can remove the RemoteLinc from the ISY and create all the links manually. You may run into a difficulty if you have a need to restore or replace any of the devices that you link the RemoteLinc to. OTOH, I manually added a seventh device to the All On/Off function of the RemoteLinc (i.e., not to a button).
