The wiring between the two fixtures can be done more than one way. Are you sure that there are two 2-wire Romex cables between the two ceiling boxes and not one 3-wire cable? In any case, describe the number and color of the wires ate each switch box and how the are grouped (e.g., one tow wire cable, one 3-wire cable). You can disregard any ground wires.

Does the scene function correctly? Select the scene. Turn on a few of the 26 devices. What happens if you click on On? Off?
-
How many devices are in your scene? Are any Controllers? Does the timer program work?
-
Post you programs (right click on the program name, select Copy to Clipboard).

I have a very old ISY 99i (still in use). The case is virtually identical to the 994i. The lettering is different (all upper case on the older ISY), the order is reversed (top to bottom) and the LEDs are blue on the new IDY, green on the old. Otherwise, there's no external difference. As you replace or add Insteon devices, you'll find more that are not supported by the 99i.

Yes, Firmware 3.3.10 was the last version available for the ISY 99i.

Many new Insteon devices don't have an entry into the way, way old.3.3.10 Firmware. There is no list. A solution is to upgrade the ISY to a 994i at the lower cost upgrade price.

I have four Amazon accounts, three of which I use only with the portal and any Echos and/or Dots associated with that account. My main account controls the living and nearby rooms. I have a separate account for the dining room which abuts the kitchen and leads to the courtyard where our garages are, so lots of control from there. One side of the kitchen leads to my computer room. That's the third account.. And we have a bedroom account. Some devices, scenes and programs are controlled from more than one room, as needed. The living room has one Echo. A new Dot will be added. The dining room has an Echo. The computer room and kitchen each have a Dot. The bedroom has both an Echo and a Dot.

The SynchroLinc allows you to synchronize other devices and/or programs based on whether or not a load is at or above a specified level, not just on or off. The other devices/programs are in sych with the load being queried. For example, a TV always draws a (small) load. Otherwise the remote won't work. But when the TV is being watched, the draw is much greater. Using a SynchroLinc allows you to power on a subwoofer when watching and powers it off when not watching. BTW, subwoofers use as much as 10W 24/7 when idling. The SyncroLinc allows you to cut power to the subwoofer completely when it's not being used

What are you doing to open the app? What are the results, nothing happens, opens and closes immediately, something else?

Just got this: If you have relatives or friends in the UK, Amazon Echo and Echo Dot are also available for them now on pre-order. "We going global Ma!"
-
The fine print indicates that the $10 is available for only one (1) Dot and the maximum benefit you may receive from this offer is $10.00. So, ordering the DOT6PACK or DOT12PACK still gets you only $10.00.

Hmm. I wonder how I managed four sub-accounts with one portal account. The fact is only one portal account is required for up to five accounts.

Thanks, asbril. It appears that Z-Wave is added to RTS, not instead of RTS.

Yes, there is: https://www.amazon.com/Echo-Ceiling-Mount-Amazon-Black/dp/B01II35T6K/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1473895816&sr=8-15&keywords=amazon+dot

The San Francisco Exploratorium has two seats surrounded by a cavern-like structure. That's all. No electronics at all, just the seats and the surrounding structure. They're at opposite ends (about 10-15' from the wall) of a large auditorium like room with many displays and usually a large, loud crowd mingling on all sides. My wife and I sat there and could barely see each other due to the number of people walking and talking between us. Yet, even a whisper came through loud and clear. That was more than two decades ago. I don't know if it's still there. They're still there. I just found a link: https://www.exploratorium.edu/xref/exhibits/listening_vessels.html

My experience with Amazon is the you need to cancel the order and create a new one. Even speaking to a customer rep won't fix that, but the rep will cancel the order for you and even help you create a new one

You don't need more than one Portal account to accomplish that, only different Amazon accounts.

I currently have four accounts with one portal. The limit is five. Each account has its own set of commands. That way I can ask for the light (or fan or anything else) to be turned on without specifying the room if I am in that particular room. In other words, if I'm in the living room, then the living room light turns on when I simply say, "turn on the light." Similarly, the bedroom light turns on with the same command when I'm in the bedroom. If I'm not in the specific room, then I do need to specify which light I want turned on.

I'm using one portal with four accounts. Three Echos and three Dots. Two Dots within earshot on the same account have different names as do one Echo and a different Dot. I tried giving the two Dots on the same account the same name and asked for a joke. I got a different joke from each. I also tried playing the same song. There was a delay between them. So far, not good. But, then again, the software has not yet been updated.

I'm confused, too. What does multiple packs have to do with which Echo device received that command? From what I've read, only the closest device (on the same account) receives the command. That opens a few questions. For example, if you set a timer, which device responds, the closest only or all devices on that account.? What about playing music, asking for the news or even a joke

Where did you find the $10 credit?

The key to RF interference is the frequency. Insteon devices operate at 915 MHz, Z-Wave at 908 MHz. As long as other RF device operate at other than those frequencies, you will be OK. WiFi is at 2.4 GHz and/or 5.0 GHz. In addition to those frequencies, there are channel withing those ranges that further protect against interference.

Yes, but it's not consistent between different commands. Thus, "turn on the stereo" always works, "turn the stereo on" doesn't. The "light" works either way, so does the "rack light." I haven't paid much attention until now. If one sequence didn't work, I used the other. I'll attempt to keep track.
