I have been using Insteon since 2005. Most times I have had no issues with Smarthome-Smartlabs but sometimes they like to play ostrich; stick their heads in the sand and admit nothing. I know I asked in the Smarthome forums, but I will ask here also. Was it Smarthome Customer Service or Insteon Gold Line Customer Service you have talked to?

I replied to your Smarthome Post but users here may also have found that the new White Paddles don't match anything. This post has some information in it. Smarthome is aware of the odd white paddles and is working on a fix. http://www.smarthome.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10798 Now will the latest White match a few years old White. Only time and users finding may tell.

The 3:00 AM Query of My Lighting is causing modules to change their present state? I have never seen this myself. Is the query of My Lighting or another Scene?
-
I didn't do much with it. Tried a few ways to force it to at least be seen by my ISY994i and it didn't. Kind of what I expected from Michel's comments. I was mainly interested in seeing if the temperature could be seen as the units Developers Notes indicated it could. So It is packed up and an RMA is issued. Going back today. My days of early adopter are over.

You could use a power tap on the appliancelinc output and also connect a small 4 watt night light on it. Some have used old wall warts on theirs or a resistor that would also drain the sensing current down.
-
Most likely the noise spike from the pump motor turning Off. Has confused the modules electronics and it is lost until you cycle the power. I have an old ApplianceLinc I can lock up with one load in my house cycling On and Off.

I bought a Energy Monitor and after playing with it for about a week. Got an RMA to return it on the 30 day I am not happy guarantee.
-
That is good news. I am glad you now have it working as expected.
-
Thanks for the information. Glad they worked out well for you. I use LED and CFL bulbs. So they are not an option for me.

If the pump is less than 5 amps. There is a fairly small wire in filter from Leviton that I know some have used. May depend on the room in your electrical box. http://www.smarthome.com/4835/Leviton-6 ... ock/p.aspx

Unblock. Yes I have had to do that myself.

I am confused though that is not too unusual. The Energy Display Developers Notes. Say it checks the temperature every three minutes and send a message if the temperature has changed 1 or more degrees C {I believe it can also be set to F}. I believe it is a group 4 message. To a linked PLM. Though the sales page says maximum of three Controller Groups and I would think they would be the three groups for iMeterSolo's. Could be the specifications changed and the Developers Notes didn't get updated. No surprises there.

You didn't mention if you had found the information on SD cards in the wiki. If not here is the link. http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... an_SD_Card

One of the I2CS additions was No X10 support for many models. I would not count on any Insteon Modules from now on being shipped without I2CS. Reported or not. Though someone posting a Event Viewer log while adding them would be a big hint.
-
Very possible a replacement 2476S or 2476D made after March 2012 would also be I2CS. Most of them are now being sold with I2CS in them. May not effect too many but X10 support is also gone in some of them. My friends in the X10 forums are not happy with that move. As X10 has some financial troubles and many of their modules are gone.
-
The ones making problems. Used the power lines to communicate back to the power company. If memory serves me it was like a 40 volt signal on the power lines. Other X10 users with Smart Meters using RF communications have not reported any problems yet.
-
Did your power company recently put a Smart Meter on your home? One particular model seems to be reported in the X10 forums as randomly turning X10 devices On and Off. I am running a few X10 devices in my setup myself. Like Chime Modules and the sixteen button HR12A Palm Pad Remotes. My Insteon modules also have a Primary X10 Address added to them.

T1700 also has no optional connector for the Humidity Sensor and was a problem {maybe corrected now} with a floating Humidity Signal sending trash readings.

ISY unable to control 2477SA1 240v Load Controller
Brian H replied to skunkiechris's topic in ISY994
Thanks for the updated information. It does sound like the first one had issues. -
Will be waiting for your report on your BulbLinc. Calling it a LampLinc technically may not get you all the features it has but is a nice work around until it can be added to an ISY Beta release.
-
Actually the FilterLinc originated as an X10 filter. The sales pages say it is tuned to 120KHz which is the X10 power line signal frequency. I don't think Smarthome has changed the components to move it closer to the 131.65KHz Insteon uses. The ACT AF120 is a 15 amp X10 type filter. I have not seen anything on its not also working with Insteon.
-
No opto coupler at all. It actually goes through series resistors, pull up resistors and an LED with current limiting resistor to +5 Volts from the Sensor Input to a pin on the controller IC.
-
The ISY99i has to be rebooted after you change PLM as that is when it finds the new PLMs six digit ID and uses it for restoration to all your devices.
-
I never checked the minimum pulse width needed for an I/OLinc but know that the Sensor LED can glow and the Sensor Input is not tripped. Seems the LED is part of the input electronics and I found the Sensor Input needed to be pulled below 1.0 volts for mine to trip. The Sensor LED can glow and the input not be pulled below 1.0 volts.

If you don't have things like the ELK add on firmware module to name one. You will see those errors. I see the ones for the modules I don't have myself. I believe they are files not created or are blank if you don't have the optional firmware module.
