Official Release 3.1.17 Is Now Available
Brian H replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/i ... rguide.pdf Appendix C of the Users Manual The wiki also has a page on SD Card replacement. http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... an_SD_Card Mine had a 128K SD Card in it. I replaced mine and after loading the firmware and latest backup. All was restored properly. You can get the size of your present one. In Tools, Diagnostics, System Status. It shows the memory used and total size if memory serves me. -
It is the Insteon messaging protocol being used. Between units. The original modules I have are I1 and use a standard message length. Took many messages to do things. I2 was added and used Extended messaging where more data could be sent at a time. I2CS added Check Sum calculations where the message was tested for errors. It also made some I1 and I2 messages not work due to the changes. So the software had to have I2CS features added. To complicate things. Not all I2CS modules have the whole set of added features. Some just refuse to do much while others you maybe able to add to My Lighting but not add to Scenes.

Too bad Smartlabs could not spring for a small label. Saying "This is a I2CS Module"

Release 3.2.3 (Beta) Is Now Available
Brian H replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Installed with no problems. -
Glad you found it. I always keep my boxes and packing material. On the off chance I have to return something. My problem is many times the item itself is gone but I forget to trash the packing boxes.
-
Are the replacements brand new? Latest ones are I2CS and need ISY firmware 3.2.2.
-
Have you tried the Access Point's built in communications test to see if they are on opposite phases and in RF range of each other. You could also have some power line signal issues. With possible noise makers or signal absorbers. Is the PLM in the same outlet or circuit as your computer equipment? Many computer power supplies can absorb Insteon signals and make them weak. Also if the PLM is in a surge strip. Some have noise filters in them that also absorb Insteon signals as noise. If you look in the Program Tab of the Administrative Console. You will probably see a 3:00 AM query of My Lighting. If any of the modules don't get back to the Query. The next time you open the Console you will see that Error Message. Have you tried the Scene Tests in Diagnostics? Sometimes it can show communications problems for you.
-
I had a feeling it was I2. As I think I have seen in the Communications Logs I2CS if that was the messaging protocol used.
-
Thanks for the updated Event Viewer file. Is the module a new one? I see I2 messages was sent but the reply from the module was a standard message. Maybe Michel or LeeG can decode the data as I have never seen a 0115 Press, 02AA Press or [ IR] message before.
-
Did you have the Event Viewer in #3 Device Communications Events?
-
They are new? If so are you running the latest firmware 3.2.2? The latest 2441 adapters are the new Insteon I2CS protocol and need firmware 3.2.2 to work.
-
Glad you got it working correctly.
-
Scott, Look in the PLMs box. There should be a RJ45 to DB9 serial cable packed somewhere in the PLM box. Mine was inside the packing cradle holding the PLM in the box.
-
If they are new. Good chance they are the new I2CS ones. If so; you have to be running firmware 3.2.1 that added I2CS protocol devices.
-
They where in the Error.Log but maybe they where added at times when I was using the Event Viewer in #3 Communications Events.

Small snippet from my Error Log. This just recently started showing up. Zone Alarm recently did a program update. Is it possible it changed something? I saw a post saying 3.2.2 maybe out in another day.
-
I have seen the same thing LeeG. Looking at the Device Link Table results. They count from FF back by 1 for each entry. I have seen this with some of my I2CS devices when I was using an older version of the ISY firmware. I believe it kept peeking and poking until it hit the 00 in the link record. I have also seen this with my Beta I2CS I/OLinc. I2CS does not like peeks and pokes. Maybe possible when the 2476S was added. The device was not identified as I2CS and the I2 or I1 protocol was used to add it.
-
The ISY99i does not know any links you manually added. Alway do all the adding, linking and scenes through the ISY99i.
-
I don't believe the 2856D2 Icon dimmer ever supported being a controller to any other Insteon devices. My later 2456D3 LampLinc does. I looked at the online manuals. The 2457D2 Dual Band and 2457D2X both indicate they can be a controller also.

How to disable local on-level adjustment (airgap switch)
Brian H replied to JustinDR@cox.net's topic in ISY994
I would also recommend you remove the button assembly and make sure something is not rubbing or not seated properly. The details on removing it is in the Full Users Manual under how to change button colors or how to change six and eight button sets. -
Lee G; Thanks for the added information on new device actions.
-
In the configuration tab is Catch Up Schedules at restart checked?

Release 3.2.0 (Beta) Is Now Available
Brian H replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Thank you for the full model number. I found it in the FCC web site and it does look like a welcome addition to the Insteon Line. I found the Users Manual and will give it a better look later. Since it steals power through the load. I would guess incandescent bulbs only. -

If you are talking about the 2477S {SBP2477S} that I found in the FCC web site and it is not on sale yet from Smarthome. The manual says "Neutral wire is required"!
