Official Release 3.1.17 Is Now Available
Brian H replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Yes there is. The link is in the first post of this thread. -
The IO/Linc Sensor input is for a dry contact only. It has a sensing voltage on it already. Putting an external voltage into the sensor input would not be a good idea. I believe the low voltage probe is an optocoupled device. So the input voltage is isolated from the output. The .4 volts you are reading on the sensor to ground is the low voltage probes pulling the sensors input low.
-
What happens if you disconnect the low voltage probe signal from the IOLinc S and GND terminals and connect a short piece of wire between S and GND.? When you linked the IOLinc was the sensor activated or not? I believe you can link the sensor to send an Odd when activated and an On when not. Pushing the set button toggles the relay and maybe you are seeing the relay status and not the sensor status.

My old EZX10RF only sends a power line signal one time and mistranslates the All Units Off to All Lights Off. All of my X10 receivers. TM751, RR501, CM15A and SC1200 send a power line command two times. So if your new EZX10RF sends the power line signals two times. They have changed the firmware in them. What does the Event Viewer show in the #3 Communications Events with the EZX10RF?
-
The X10 remotes do send the commands more than one time. I used a Smarthome 1132CU to capture the power line signals. X10 UR19A Remote. Sent All Lights On and All Units Off. Notice the EZX10RF translated All Units Off to All Lights Off and only sent the power line signal one time. There are a few threads on Smart Meters killing X10 communications and Insteon is not that far away from the X10 power line signal frequency wise and using Zero Crossing for timing. Some users had no problems others did. Seemed one brand of Smart Meters where more problems than a different manufacturers models. Some details here. Long thread but has some information on the problems. http://forums.x10.com/index.php?PHPSESS ... ic=22508.0

If your country is 220 volts 50 Cycles. The PLM besides needing 220 volts input rating would have to be able to time itself to 50 cycles. As Lee said. A few modules are now being made for 120/220 volts 50/60 cycles but not the PLM yet.

Candide; Did you use the procedure from the wiki and use the SF command to format the SD card to optimal use in ISY? I did and was curious if anyone else was doing it. -
Unlinking information is in the full users manual. Available for downloading. http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/2440.pdf Second thought. If you did the linking through the ISY99i. I am not sure how it is done.
-
I would say. 3rd week of 2009. As that is the way my modules are coded.
-
Hardware revision 1.05 is not a recent hardware version. On the back of the module. You should find a date code on the hardware revision sticker. It should give you added information.

Changing a switch from an 8n button to a six button
Brian H replied to Schoolhouse's topic in ISY994
The Status of My Lighting after sending an All On or All Off. Shows what it thinks the modules should be after the command. A module can miss a command and still show what My Lighting thinks it should be. I rarely have that happen myself. Maybe one or two times a year. I have an ApplianceLinc that misses a command and My Lighting shows what it expected it to be. What you need to do is check My Lighting for errors after locally toggling some of the switches in your setup. -

Well the 2413S has a link database size of 1023. So you are close. -
TM751s are not polite and if it receives the same House Code RF command it will gladly step on any partially sent X10 or Insteon power line signals. From another controller. That could possible explain why some commands are being missed. MS10A is a security sensor and does not send standard X10 RF commands. It also sends a hourly message so a security device knows it is still alive.
-
I missed one of your questions. All of the motion sensors, except the discontinued DM10A, have a countdown after not detecting motion and send an Off command.
-
I don't use any X10 Motion Sensors with Insteon, but do answer support questions in the X10 forums. Which model X10 Motion Sensor? Some models have more features. Some you can set the delay before an Off is sent after no more motion is detected. Some can be set to only detect after it gets dark. What transceiver module are you using to receive the signals from the Motion Sensors? One thing with X10 Motion sensors is. Forgetting about the Dusk/Dawn Sensor it includes. When it gets dark it send an On to the next higher address from the motion address and an Off when it gets light. Like your A10. An A11 On will be sent when it gets dark and an A11 Off when it gets light. If the lights you are controlling shine on the motion sensor. It is possible it maybe sending an Off to the dusk dawn address and messing up your reception. There are modifications where users have black taped the dusk dawn sensor so it always thinks it is dark. Also if the X10 received command is triggering an event in you ISY99i setup. Allow a few seconds delay before sending the Insteon command. So the X10 power line command is completed. http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/Comparison_of ... on_Sensors

Did you purchase the Weather bug module? The purchese the irrigation module listing indicated you also have to purchase it and have firmware 3.1.4 or higher.
-
If you had one and it was in ISY99i. Removing it from the system and not from the ISY99i. Could be why you are seeing the problems. Deleting it from the ISY99i maybe the answer.
-
Do you have a ControLinc Controller? The ControLinc is kind of an odd duck. If you have one. Did you use Link Management Tab and pick the Link a ControLinc choice? Small tip most of us use. As we install devices we log the model number and six digit ID numbers. Makes it easier to remember what they are. I tend to go overboard and also have hardware and firmware revisions in the log.
-
Do you have an Insteon device with a 00.00.00 ID Number? What module are you trying to access. 1-5 almost looks like maybe a 6 button KeypadLinc.

I have a switch loop where the AC line in the fixture is tied to the white of a 2 wire cable to the switch. Then the black in the two wire is tied to the load inside the fixture. So white is not always a Neutral. The black tape on the white wire also would indicate it maybe a line feed. Thing maybe completely different now from when my house was built in the late 1950's.

The tact switch problem is fairly easy to find. If you push the button and you may hear it faintly click. Though no local action happens. Then I would suspect a tact switch. I have one you can beat on the top paddle all day and it just sits there and plays stupid.
-
I believe it was seven years from the purchase date. If you can't find the Invoice there maybe another way to find it. Sign into your Smarthome account and you can actually find invoices and dates. I found the invoice number and date of when I bought the SDK membership.
-
Since they don't have a Air Gap Switch. After the Factory Reset. Maybe a power cycle may also be needed. Though this is just a see what happens thing.

Westbrook CT. seems to report Light and Light Rate but I get zero for rain fall and it rained heavily yesterday.
