  1. Do you have a 2412S PLM that supplies power to the ISY99i or a 2413S PLM and an external power supply for the ISY99i? Are both the ISY99i and PLM power cycled?
  2. How new is the PLM? Is it the presently being sold 2413S or the previous 2412S model? Your PLM could be going bad. What firmware is in the PLM? Tools Tab PLM Info/Status should give you the PLMs firmware version.
  3. When you replace the internal sensor in the 2441ZTH with the external probe. As jmed999 did. You are limited by what the 2441ZTH's hardware can do. It has a high limit in the mid 120 degrees F range. So the choices in the ISY console. Are probably close to the top limit. Since the external probe information is almost nonexistent in the 2441ZTH Developers Guide. It is very possible that it can go higher on the external input and I was incorrect. I believe there is no way at present to read the external probe data into the ISY controller. The CAI webcontrol board sounds like a good way to go.
  4. The 2433A3 External Temperature Probe has a range of -13 to 185 degrees F. I would not take that as an indication the 2441ZTH can also do the same range. I am not a great Insteon Messaging person. So I maybe incorrect. If I read the 2441ZTH's Developers Guide correctly and Smartlabs has not changed things. Your ISY choices are indicating close to the maximum it can report. For both the internal and external temperature probes. I am sure the folks at UDI will have further input for you.
  5. Did you disconnect the internal sensor and solder the external probe in its place? As shown it the thread you mentioned. If you did. You will be limited to the temperature range the internal sensor can report and I doubt the internal temperature can go that high. So the external sensor maybe OK to 185 F. You probably will not be able to read that high.
  6. Are the SwitchLincs On Off Relay type or Dimmer type? Are the SwitchLincs the new Dual Band Models? The SwitchLincs are new and not purchased from a private seller? Have you tried a power reset? Where you pull out the Air Gap Switch for ten seconds. Then press it back to its normal position? Don't push too far as all the way in does a factory reset. You exchanged the original paddles for a new color set? You may want to double check that they are on correctly.
  7. Did you ever get the firmware and UI versions to match? Both should be the same.

There is a thread on PLM failures. Over on the Smarthome forums. Last post indicated theirs lasted one month. http://www.smarthome.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12499
  9. 2. The HUB could not control any module where its Insteon ID number was not in the devices link database. 3. One controller will not know what links where added to the devices by the other controller and eventually one will over write the others controllers links. This has happened with someone using HouseLinc's diagnostics to test systems that are controlled mainly by an ISY controller.

Have you updated to the latest revision of Java? It is 1.7.0_21. Version 7 Update 21. On my computer. What version of firmware are you running?
  11. The Firmware for an ISY99i is no longer being updated. You may want to look at a ISY994i series controller. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=10771
  12. The ISY controller normally does not query an RF device. Are the RF devices in a program or scene where they maybe queried? The Pro version adds the feature to not automatically update Battery operated RF devices and then lets you do them one at a time.

If you have not had a chance yet. You may want to see what is in the MAC Section of the forums. viewforum.php?f=19
  14. You may have been able to read the link database if you woke it up with its set button. Like other battery devices are.
  15. The manuals are also on the Insteon.com site. Along with the links on the devices sales pages, LeeG mentioned. http://www.insteon.com/support.html The only exception with SwitchLincs where the old I1 protocol SwitchLinc Relays. They have no Air Gap switch and needed a set of button push sequences to reset them.
  16. If you have a wall mounted control panel. Another option is open it up and connect the I/OLinc to its push button.

If you where replacing a same type device. You could have used the Replace Device function. http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... g_a_Device Can't say what is involved with replacing a dimmer with an On Off relay type.
  18. Well we have seen reports of some 2413S PLMs quiting working. Both here and on the Smarthome forums.
  19. If the old PLM was a 2412S. It is not Dual Band and you would have to go through an Access Point or another Dual Band module. So you could have had a power line signal problem from the device processing the RF commands.
  20. If the fan has a reversible feature now. It maybe possible to wire the reversing switch through a relay. If it is a straight AC Motor. You can't reverse it. As it direction is controlled by how the AC windings in the motor are wound. At the factory.
  21. Most UPS units are signal absorbers. The Insteon power line signal is like power line noise to an UPS. I have my APC BX1000 on the filtered outlet of a FilterLinc and the front pass through has my PLM in it.
  22. If the Lutron uses a Neutral power wire along with Line and Load. You could get a standard SwitchLinc Dimmer that does not steal power through the load. You maybe able to add one standard incandescent bulb load in with the LED loads to provide the needed power. Just be aware it may not work correctly. It sometimes works with X10 two wire switches but I have never tested with a two wire Switchlinc Dimmer. Another option. Rewire the original switch loop to provide Line and Neutral to the switches electrical box. Install a three wire Switchlinc Dimmer and cap off the Load. InlineLinc Dimmer in the LED fixture and link it to the Switchlinc Dimmer to control it.
  23. If you have the Pro version you can turn off the automatic wireless battery devices writes and then do them one at a time.
  24. You are using the backup ZIP file the backup function generated and not the ZIP file inside the backup file?

As far as I can see. The smoke bridge is 120 volt AC only and has no batteries. It also is not a smoke alarm as it only notifies you one of the First Alert Detectors has sent a message. The new rules would definitely effect the First Alert Detectors but probably does not apply to the Smoke Bridge.
