The first version that supported the SynchroLinc had issues and I had to wait for a later release to correct things. I don't remember the exact revision numbers. It was an Adding to the system problem.

My fairly inexpensive Radio Shack meter. Uses fairly inexpensive fuses. Now at work the FLUKE Fuses are Big Bucks.

Release 3.1.15 (Beta) Is Now Available

Installed fine and all my devices are old. Like the original rev 1.3 ApplianceLincs. So I will keep an eye on adding them to My Lighting and into Scenes. -
That is why I have spare meter fuses.

The solid and dashed lines may indicate which wire is +. If you look at the wire you may see one of them has dashes on it. You may want to also verify the center pin is + as I have seen some wall warts with - on the center pin. You may find a small diagram on the label or a symbol molded on the case showing polarity.
-
The ISY99i needs DC. Are your AC wall warts are for different devices? Some devices do use an AC Wall Wart and generate their needed DC voltages internally. One of my Routers uses an AC wall wart.

If you look at the Full Users manual for the 2476ST. http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?tit ... Linc_Timer It indicates if another controller turns it On the timer function does not time out. It acts like a standard SwitchLinc. It also indicates that if the 2476ST controls another Insteon device it also will not follow the timer function. I believe just the 2476ST will time out. Though no hands on experiences with it.

As LeeG said not overly critical. The old 2412S was around 18 volts DC into the ISY99i. My forum question on the subject is here. viewtopic.php?t=3593

They use to be real cheap but things are changing. From some web posts. X10 has closed their China Plant and most devices are slowly going out of stock or discontinued. Though on Facebook that claim the stuff is just out of stock not discontinued. Prices at EBay dealers have jumped dramatically. Though some must have gotten some added stock as the prices have gone down slightly. X10 Motion sensors are in the $13.00 to $20.00 range when I just looked. They where higher. Also if you ever brave going to the X10 sales site. You will see over 75% of the offering are now third party stuff. Like a 10" and 7" Tablet along with third party cameras and doorbells. That maybe one of the reasons Smarthome has again started to sell their own brand X10 modules.

Try 8 minutes. I believe 9 minutes on the new ones goes back to instant.

That model rated at 20 amps. My guess is heavier duty, noisy relay. I did see the size comparison diagram for the 2487S with older one, but didn't realize it was that much larger. Also the Line, Load and Ground leads are #12 wire. The Neutral is #18. #12 his harder to bend into the electrical box. I know it would not fit for me. Old house, small electrical boxes. A standard Insteon Switch is a challenge for me.

In the Administrative Console. Help tab. About choice. Will tell you exactly what you are running along with other information.

What revision of firmware are you using with your ISY99i? Support for the 2491T was added in Beta 3.1.6 If you need to update it. 3.1.14 is the latest and recommended. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=7575 Make sure you follow all the manual update instructions. Like Java Cache clearing.
-
The ISY99i only will automatically update if a new Official Firmware release is done. You have to manually update for Beta Releases. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=7575 Make sure you follow the directions carefully. Like clearing the Java temporary files

Maybe a high frequency noise from the switching supply. Hope your tests show something conclusive.
-
Do you have a pair of Dual Band Devices. Where one is on each phase of the home and the communications tests where confirmed?
-
Buzz is there all the time or just when the internal relay is On? I have had a few ApplinaceLincs buzz when On and it was the relay buzzing. I don't believe the 2487S has a incorrect wiring sensor that would beep if the load was not connected correctly. I believe it has one of the newer designed switching regulator power supply circuit in it. I wounder if one of the coils isn't wound snug enough and is buzzing.

The Venstar adapter that supplies power to the unit when connecting to a two wire heat only system. Is 24 volts 200mA {0.2 Amps}. I would think 24 volts 1.25 amps would be plenty.
-
Not a real good idea. I would think both the Insteon and Touch Controls could be damaged depending on each devices state.

This is what worked for me with Avast 6.0.1289. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6933 Note Avast recently updated to a later version that may act differently. In my case it hosed my computer and I went back to 6.0.1289.

After you started the Linking process. When you pushed the set button on the device you wanted to link to for I believe 3 or more seconds. Did anything happen?
-
Sounds like you may have some power line signal problems. That is effecting communications. Do you have any X10 phase coupling between the phases? As Insteon devices do not retransmit x10 signals. Some have found as more Insteon devices are added. Their X10 devices performance goes down. Basically the power line transmitters in them can absorb some of the signals on the power line.

Release 3.1.14 (Beta) Is Now Available

Installed fine. Will report any odd things if I see them. -
Glad it helped. Let us know if you have any other questions on older modules. Like the older ApplianceLinc and LampLinc modules tied the Local Control Sensing to an X10 address or the older SwitchLinc and Icon Relay models don't have an Air Gap Switch. Resulting in a different Factory Reset procedure. The older manuals for them seem to have been misplaced on the Smarthome site.

You may want to try picking the 2477D from the drop down list and not Auto Detect. Though I suspect it is a communications issue between the PLM and the 2477D. The release notes for 2.8.16 shows the 2477D was supported.
