Current State of Devices - blank
The same thing happened to me this morning with 3.3.10. Not sure if it is related but I rebooted windows XP and all was back. I also still have Java 7.11 Security set to disable IE plug ins.

Re: Release 3.3.10 (RC7) Is Now Available
The "ISY Finder" running and ending up behind the Administrative Console when the jnlp program is run. Is normal on my XP system. Do you have the Java Plug Ins enabled while trying to create the shortcut? I believe it has to be enabled and then after the shortcut is created. You go back into the Java Control Panel and disable the plug ins.

Insteon Motion Sensor
2442 SignalLinc RF is the original coupler type device. It uses a different RF frequency so it can only talk to another 2442. It also will not receive any signals from Insteon RF device or Dual Band devices. If memory serves me they also do not process Extended Insteon messages so I2CS device are another problem.

Re: Release 3.3.10 (RC7) Is Now Available
Thanks LeeG; I also used the step 'c.' web link and also got the UI of 3.3.9 and not 3.3.10. I removed the incorrect application in the Java Control Panel. Then manually used the modified link information you gave. Now both my Firmware and UI say 3.3.10.

Desktop shortcut
After my update. When I did the Java cache clear. I checked all the choices including remove old cached applications and applications. The shortcut and old application for the earlier shortcut where removed. Then I downloaded the new one as LeeG indicated.

How To: IOLink Lighted Doorbell
Q1. If you still want to use your original doorbell. ELK makes a doorbell sensor {ELK930} that connects to your bells wiring and senses the bells current when ringing and has a dry contact output that can trigger an I/OLincs Sensor Input I have tested one with an I/OLinc and it works. Using it would not be the same as the project here as you don't control the lighted features of the bell push button.

Error Log Question
The whole UDI wiki is just full of very useful data.
-
Flash Cycles Typical Limit
Not sure what EEPROM is in the latest units. I know the ones in my older modules. Is guaranteed 1,000,000 erase/write cycles. Though I would imagine most go for more than guaranteed cycles.
-
Error Log Question
There is also a section in the UDI wiki on Error messages. http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_Messages

Flash Cycles Typical Limit
Insteon Modules do have a EEPROM in them for nonvolatile storage. They also have a typical read/erase/rewrite cycle specification. Reading stored data has a much larger specification. There is a section in the Full Users Manual for the ISY99i/994i on how to replace the SD card. I changed the one in my ISY99i for a larger one. Mine was an earlier version where I had to take the top off and remove the PCB. Later ones have a nice slot in the case. No disassembly needed. http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/p ... _3.2.6.pdf

Issue with IOLink & Genie Powermax 1500
Nice to know they do make a dry contact interface. This may assist others in the future.

A bit confused by existing 3-way dimmer switch
Some dimmer switches without a Neutral. Steal their operating power through the load and it had to be incandescent type loads. Your old switches probably got power through the load and where able to keep their LED indicators On. That is why the new Insteon two wire dimmer can't be used on any loads that are not incandescent.

Issue with IOLink & Genie Powermax 1500
Probably a intelligent controller that sends data on the wiring. A simple closure like a standard push button switch will not work. Also some openers have a LCD display and other features on their controls. The I/OLinc also shorts them out and they reset. Some have had success with wiring the I/OLincs relay physically across the controllers internal push button. To simulate the controller opening and closing the door.

how do I find address of a module with out a label?
2002SHL3 is an original X10 ONLY ApplianceLinc. Is a one way type. No power line transmitter in it to respond to things like a Status Request. It is not an Insteon Module. Your ISY controller can send X10 commands. So you maybe able to at least send it On Off and Dim commands.

Flickering Light
Some of the older hardware revision SwitchLinc Dimmers. Would flicker the load with power line traffic. Was corrected in the later hardware and I don't remember seeing any of the 2477D Dual Bands reported to flicker their load, but anything seem possible these days.
-
Is it possible to schedule the ON level of a switch?
The hardware version number found on the white sticker will not match the firmware revision your ISY Controller shows. Like my old 2456S3 ApplianceLincs hardware revision 1.3 modules. Have a v.28 firmware revision reported by My Lighting.

Release 3.3.8 (RC5) Is Now Available
Can you elaborate on your problem when using Java 7 Update 10? The 3.3.8 jnlp link works fine for me with Java 7 Update 10. This is with XP Pro SP3 and all patches.
