Smarthome accidentally had the earlier Insteon PLM Developers Guide avilable for download. It is still avilable on a few sites. http://www.aartech.ca/docs/2412sdevguide.pdf Membership in Developers Group. Isn't what it is cracked up to be. Though occasionally you do get a few tidbits. Serious consultation requires a fee be paid to Smartlabs.

Release 3.1.9 (Beta) Is Now Available
Brian H replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
I have had this happen a few times, but not consistently. Open Administrative Console using the jnp link I downloaded for 3.1.9 No Module Status shows in My Lighting for the modules. Open Event Viewer and set to communications messages. Do a query of My Lighting. Ready Icon on bottom left stays Ready. Nothing shows in the Event Viewer. No Query progress box shows on the screen. Though I think it is doing a query as the LEDs on some of the modules are flashing. Indicating messages are on the power line. Closing Administration Console and restarting. Then everything is OK. -
They look nice. I have used the 773 series a few times. They have a push in style clamp and not the nice flip release.

http://www.insteon.net/pdf/insteondetails.pdf I will look and see if I can find any others that are not in the developers restricted area.

Admin Console asking for login every 20 seconds?????

If Avast recently updated to 6.0.1289. I would also suggest you check the link TJF1960 provided. -
From the main sales page: PLM, Power Supply needed for use with the 2413S, shipping and optional taxes. Not included http://www.homeorchestrator.com/UDStore ... ctPurchase

I am using 32 bit, Java Version 6 update 26 with no problems. Beta 3.1.9.
-
You can't do that through the ISY Console. There is no Insteon command to reset a module to factory settings remotely. You have to go to each device and manually do it. Following the modules factory reset procedure. The only device I have seen a software reset command for is the PLM itself.

Release 3.1.8 (Beta) Is Now Available

Tried again for a log. SSL request not authenticated. Another time Subscriber didn't reply to event:1 [34] One time with the Request Failed Box on the screen. I picked text and then canceled the save. The whole GUI locked up and I had to use Task Manager to exit. I did some queries and X10 signals being sent to my chime module. Then did a text log file to my desktop. It is empty. All it shows is this: INSTEON/A10/X10 Device Control Value Time User Log Type -

When I do a Log Request. I get a Request Failed box and then get the log file. I was using the text type, not Excel. That I can't use due to very old Excel version. Error Log had the same Request Failed Box the first time I tried. Now I get nothing. Not even a Request Failed Box. Maybe the logs are empty from the update? -
I have a 10 amp FilterLinc on my UPS and the 2413S PLM in the unfiltered pass through outlet on the front of the FilterLinc.
-
I agree with LeeG. You are fighting a noise or signal absorber on the power lines. You didn't have the PLM connected to the same circuit as the computer or in a filtered surge strip?
-
Thanks for their fix. I did the following. It seemed to fix my problems. Though in my case the Authentication request didn't keep popping up. Status updates and real time things like Queries and link database reads where not there. viewtopic.php?f=3&p=52927
-
OK. So the problem was having a passive coupler and an Active A10 repeater on the same circuit. Could be the repeater saw its own commands on the other phase and stopped on a collision.
-
SignalLinc? Can you expand on the exact module as there are a few devices with that name.

Release 3.1.7 (Beta) Is Now Available
Brian H replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Installed fine this morning. -
OK thanks for the update. I can now allow Java to update and tell Avast to hold off. Until data on how to correct it is avilable. Yes please share. Maybe in the Avast Thread as it relates to the problem.
-
Update 27 must be very recent. On 09/09/2011 my check for Java updates didn't find 27 and said 26 was the latest. So no one else may have tried 27 yet. I have 26 and as you found. Working OK. Gee in another thread someone found the newest Avast Update, released recently, also was causing problems.

Release 3.1.6 (Beta) Is Now Available
Brian H replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Updated with no major problems. I am getting a failed to retrieve product update information warning when I start the Administration Console. Actually that message started to show earlier today. Maybe while you where getting 3.1.6 ready to be downloaded. -
I would also say Factory Reset and start new. There have been some rare cases where they shipped with some test links and X10 addresses in them. Upgrading to the Pro Version is not hard at all. As Tim mentioned. Just purchase the Pro Module and UDI does their thing. Some on line magic happens and the ISY99i reboots. You then have the Pro Version.
-
There is also a warning on the MorningLinc's sales page. Basically it converts a Insteon command to an RF command the lock understands. It is a one way command and the MorningLinc has no way to verify if the lock received and processed the command. Also local locking and unlocking will not be sent back from the lock. http://www.smarthome.com/2458A1/Morning ... ler/p.aspx

No official time tests. My 2413S processes the ISY99is commands faster, than my older 2412S did.
