totally dorked now as I must hae erased some of the data in my half way restore, as I can only log in with the default admin password (I had chaged it) but trying to upload an old backup fails half way through. Please help!

just ried it i.e. to restore isy and it get half way through then several error messages. Now what?

still really messed up though as sometimes it logs in but the program data is not there

I can soemtimes get to the isy and all looks good for a while and then I ge a socket error. I have rebooted the ISY as when I change the DNS and Gateways (both now set to the router IP is that correct) it reboots each teim. I will ty rebooting the computer, but since it sometimes logs in I doubt that the problem Cannot acces anymore with http://192.168.1.103/admin (ip is set as static http://192.168.1.103/) but can get to it with http://www.universal-devices.com/99i

OK, now sometimes I can get into it, but sometimes not. Seems each teim now I need to keep clearing teh java and/or try some of the differnt urls to login, not consistent. In addtion not all of my program data is ther, very strange.Please help me to get the rigth gateway and DNS settings

my ntp.pool.org server was not updateing my time so I read some posts that indicated I needed to have the DNS the same as my router IP. I changed it and now cannot even connect to my isy,getting socket open failure even after clearing the java cache. Can you help me to solve both problems?

A simple program question: If a program has a timer in it say 1hr, and is activated by lets say a remotelink button, will the timer reset to 1hr if the remotelinc button is pressed again before the timer (program ) ends? eg button on set at zero time and after 1/2 hr button on set again, will total time be 1.5hr? I assume yes Now with a more complex question. Has anyone come up with a convenient program for adding 1hr each time the button is pressed? eg press on button 3 times and get 3 hrs? Thanks

Yes Power LED light was on, no IR linc. I checked the ethernet connection, then powercycled the unit and it all started working well again. I said I was on vacation but my daughter was staying here. I will see her tonight to aks if there was anything unususal like a power failure, but other than that she is not knowledgable of the system so I am sure she was not making any tweaks

I do not know what you mean. I go to the log menu and it asks it fi wan to see it excel and when it opens nothing is there I do not know what -2S are and I do not know how to give you"know the last 30 entries before the last Start record (which is when you rebooted your ISY). "

thanks, but here is the problme. I want the garage lite to come on if any of the contrololers have turend off and ther is still motion sensors time left. eg. turn on garage lit by one of the controllers, MS will do nothing even if triggered, one minute later turn off the controller to the garage lit, would like 30 seconds (garage MS is set for 1.5mins) of garalge lite before shuts off.

well came home from vacation and none of my timed lights were on. Could not communicate with the ISY even though only green power lite was on as is usual. Rebooted thevISY and All is good gain. Is this reallated?

I want the motions sensor to activatea ligth ONLY if that lite is not already on via other controller. This program works but then if one of the controllers is already on the sensorr still activated the light (not desired). I now the culprit is the (and the motion sensor is not switched off) but I wanted it this way so that if I then switched off any of the controllers that light would stay on for the remained fo teh MS timer. Any suggestions? great, thanks. Yes it did seem coincidnetal with unplugging or plugging in ethernet connection to other device on the same Enet switch, though it was just a coincidence but probably not

Well...I really do not know, just seems like many times whne I open the door to the cabinet it goes off shorlyt afterwords, but I am sure every few minites is an exaggeration.

OK so maybe I have too much time on my hands But I usually do not observe my ISY since it is behind a cabinet door, but lately I notice every few minutes I get a short 2 sec or so Mem and error LEDs on, despite my ISY working flawlessly. Is this a sign of an issue (paranoid because my other ISY, before Michel was kind enough to repelce, started out have the red light on after reboot and eventually went south on me.) Thx Joe

I tried to install this weekend a 220V Insteon Pool Pump switch http://www.smarthome.com/2494S220/Switc ... ure/p.aspx which is currently controlled by an X10 220V switch (my last X10 device!), but it appears I did not have a neutral. The switch is controlled by a GFI in the panel, and no matter what combination I would try the GFI kept tripping: 1) Tried no neutral 2) Tried Neutral to GND with no GND lead 3) Tried Neutral to GND with the GND lead also grounded and while understanding these may not work 4) Tired running the neutral to what I though was another neutral further up-line I know that pictures are needed and this is sketchy, but any thoughts would be appreciate (I reinstalled the X10 switch and everything works well enough again, so may just have to keep it this way) Thx Joe
