Portals - Active Service - More Info

What is the intended purpose of the *More Info* button in the Admin Console? As pressing it simply launches a web page with nothing but a blue page.

Mine gives a window similar to ISY information with my name and email used for the account

Since I have the deluxe version, I also get unicorns and ponies ;)

What I get looks like this. Its centered in the browser window which is the portal blue color

A number of the fields are blanks, and I also covered up that area to hide details. Its pretty much the same info you can get from the the ISY Portal Information drop down selection.

Hrmm that's interesting because there isn't a thing in mine besides a solid blue screen. I thought after reading your reply it was because I didn't fill in the other details in the portal. So I went in there and placed random information and waited to see if the controller would reflect the same.

Sadly, that obviously wasn't the details that populates that field . . .

Hi Guys,

Thanks so very much for bringing this to our attention.

We are looking into this. Basically, this is the information that you enter during account setup. I am not sure why it's blank though!

With kind regards,

Michel

We got the GT model that's the answer!

Hello all,

Those who have a blank screen, can you please let me know what operating system and browser you use? The problem is that the ID is blank.

With kind regards,

Michel

Windows 7 Enterprise & Ultimate 32/64 bit OS. Using the latest release of Chrome browser.

Also, in case it wasn't obvious I deleted the URL identifiers at the end.

Conversely... Portal Account information fully loads for me under Windows XP x86 using java application with Firefox popup.. everything fully updated.

Edit: Also pasted url into Chrome and information also loads successfully.

Edit #2:  Also tested on Windows 10 x64 using java application and successfully populated in Firefox popup.  Java, Windows, Firefox all fully updated

It all works fine for me in Safari, Chrome and Firefox on MAC OSX 10.11.3.  After filling in all of the info in the portal, all fields in this display are populated.

Michel,

On the machine I'm on now it is Windows 7 Professional and IE 11.  Just tested and still blue. Copied URL into Chrome, same machine, still just blue.

Hi Keith,

Does the URL end with ?id=some_number?

Teken,

The purpose is this: the portal allows different accounts access to ISY (after you approve it locally on the Admin Console). For instance, for tech support, I can add an ISY to UDI account. The customer, then, can click on More Info to see what this account is and any contact information before accepting/approving the connection. This is mostly used for utilities so that the customer knows where the request is coming from. Of course, utilities do not get full access. Only error log and system log and a few other utility related functions.

In short, if you ever go to the Portal tab and see an account is waiting for Approval, DO NOT approve unless you know who the originator is.

With kind regards,

Michel

Hello Michel,

Understood about unknown pending approvals on the system but hope to find out why the *More Info* is blank when pressed.

As indicated above I too filled in all related fields and waited about 30 minutes in case there was some kind of replication process needed.

Sadly, nothing happen.

The blank screen isn't a huge issue I simply wanted to call out this problem in hopes of avoiding support calls.
