Are any new ISY models under development?

Less than a year?

With the way UDI operates I would be highly surprised to see a new version released this year. They haven't even had a beta on one yet and 5.0 is still in beta as well (hard to imagine a brand new product shipping with beta software).

Historically UDI has also given significant discounts to users who desire to upgrade their systems. So it can be cost effective a year or 2 down the road should you desire to have the latest unit.

As Beninsteon said, most likely it'll be a unit with more memory, processing power, nodeserver capabilities all in one vs. needing a secondary device such as a raspberry pi and needing to do the work yourself.

...plus two Ethernet ports and your choice of red, blue, or yellow case to blend in with your room decor. :)

Most high-tech companies will not "tip their hand" with new features. If they did, they can expect  a stand-off audience, arguing that  some other company released the same features before UDI did.  Patents have been found to not function properly in the tech world. Reagan was wrong.

@beninsteon, yes, node servers.

@Blackbird, we should have the node server based bundle by 2nd Quarter. ISY firmware will be installed into the same hardware once available. Hardware specs:

Quad Core at 1GHz
4GB RAM
mSATA: between 16GB to 32GB
WiFi/Bluetooth: Optional

With kind regards,
Michel

Looks fantastic and knowing the high UDI standards, we will be in for a treat. Hopefully with an improved Administrative Console (without Java) ?

So there will be a new ISY included with node server?

So the mSATA drive will replace the SD card?

Looking forward to it.  Hopefully the node server administration will be built into the admin console?

If this is the case, then I'll be a big proponent of this, simply for the simplicity and security of having ONE device to backup and maintain.  I think this would be a big improvement in the usability department for UDI.
