Did you ever get this sorted out?  I just purchased the 500 module and plan to do the install...and foray into Z-Wave.  However, I have a similar issue to you on the ISY type.  It shows the wrong serial number and ISY99i/IR PRO...when in fact I have the ISY994i/IR PRO just like you and I get the same error when I try to add it "Not a valid serial number".

Thanks.

Yes. I submitted a ticket to UD support - they were able to straighten everything out. I then was able to download the Z-wave software module, and install my Z-wave device.

I’m not a new user of the Isy. But I have had mine a long time.  My question is do I need an new isy to upgrade to zwar???

The 994 is capable of zwave, however, if you don't have it, you will need to add the zwave dongle and the zwave module. If you are not sure if you have zwave, go to help about from the menu. If you have zwave ZW will be listed.

You can read about how to added it here:

https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Z-Wave:_Ordering/Assembly_Instructions

You can by the dongle from the store:

After its installed the zw module is $1.00.
